If before Peter Parker had doubts whether the universe conspired or not for his happiness, now he was sure.
Today was his first day of vacation, finally free from high school, just having to worry about college in the future. Well, don't really worry since he was smart enough to pass any entrance exam without studying, but you got it.
Today would be the day he and Gwen would go out on a date to enjoy their vacation, where he could finally spend quality time with her after so much time focusing on his studies.
But just on that day, New York had to suffer a terrorist attack that the unfortunate billionaire who did not accept the divorce well and has a deadly hatred for Tony Stark.
It was something so specific that it even seemed stupid to say.
The day started well. Sunny morning, almost zero probability of rain, a pleasant and cozy cold breeze, everything perfect for Peter's meeting. He and Gwen would only meet at noon, so he would have plenty of time to get ready.
No crime that needed your assistance happened, the police were patrolling the streets and doing their duty as defenders of law and order, and none of their villains were attacking as they did every day.
Maybe they had also taken a vacation from Spider-Man, he thought seeing that his day was going incredibly well. Perhaps the universe finally recognized his efforts and rewarded him with a day of peace and quiet.
But of course, it was enough for him to go out to buy some things that Aunt May asked for, that the misfortune began. First were the explosions, then a swarm of drones that looked like very poorly made copies of Ultron, and then more explosions.
Obviously, I work for Spider-Man.
After calling Gwen and making sure she was safe, Peter asked her to take shelter while he saved the city once again. Lucky you that he had left with the costume that day.
Then after equipping himself, Peter made his way to the city center, where the others were, while fighting the drones and saving some people trapped under the wreckage or being attacked by the drones.
So, after many rescues and many destroyed drones, he ended up arriving at the center where the defenders, the Avengers and the Fantastic Four were dealing with most of the drones.
And obviously, the X-men were there because those fuckers with mental problems had "more important matters" to deal with.
Needless to say, Peter didn't like the mutants in the gym in general. Not since the time Jean Grey, a crazy telepath with personality problems, exchanged his mind with Wolverine's.
Returning to the subject, Peter only learned of the complete situation of what was happening when he talked to the other heroes. And to his surprise, it was all the fault of a billionaire with marital problems.
Adam Thron, CEO of Thron industries, had recently divorced because he discovered that his wife was cheating on him, and was extremely devastated by it.
But instead of just accepting the divorce as a normal person and moving on with his life, he decided to put the blame on Tony Stark, the iron man, because he discovered that his wife was attracted to him and put the blame for cheating on Tony.
So, he took a very old model of Tony's armor, did the reverse engineering and used what he discovered to build an army of drones and an armor that was a very poorly made copy of Mark-III to destroy New York and kill Tony.
Things that only happen in New York...
At this moment, Peter and the defenders were dealing with the drones while the Avengers were going to deal directly with Thron and the Fantastic Four created something to stop the entire legion of drones.
It was just another normal day in New York. Villain attack, generalized beating running loose, explosions everywhere and at the end of everything there would be a photo with all the heroes posing on top of Thron's body.
Yeah, just one more day in New York....

Tony Stark was once again absolutely sure that Monday was not his day.
Today was supposed to be your day off. No meetings, no conferences, maybe one or two patrols around the city later, but that's it. Today he was supposed to spend the whole day on the couch while watching some report saying how successful he was.
But no, just on the day he idealized that it would be his rest, a madman who blames him for his divorce and treats him as if he were the source of all the evils on earth decides to attack New York.
And the worst of all? He would have to take a trip to inspect the European branches of Stark industries the next day. Buthe could lie saying that he was too hurt during the fight and thus postpone the trip for a few more days...
While thinking about his ruined day, Stark didn't notice the drone approaching from behind him, but that had his head by that of the captain who flew by and as always, hit some surface and returned to his hands.
Seriously, how did he do that so perfectly? Could it be that one of the effects of the super soldier's serum is to give those who are injected with telekinesis?
"It's better to keep your head in the fight Tony" Said Captain America with his usual good Samaritan smile that captivated the attention of older and younger women.
"It's hard to take this seriously when I know that the only reason I am is because some crazy person I couldn't accept that his wife was a bitch," Tony replied while firing missiles towards more drones.
Seconds later, explosions were seen in the skies while the burned and broken parts of the drones fell to the ground.
"If you hadn't slept with his wife we wouldn't be here" Clint joked as he kept shooting his arrows, all of them hitting their targets perfectly.
"For the last time, I didn't sleep with his wife! I'm a committed man, did you know? "Tony replied already tired of everyone, even the newspapers, believing in such an unfounded lie.
"That's not what Thron said" Joked the Captain.
Before Tony could answer, An explosion sounded from behind them and when they turned to see what it was, the 3 saw Thron approaching with his armor while veins jumped all over his face.
"STARK! " Throne growled as he approached the heroes faster and faster " YOU WILL PAY FOR RUINING MY- "
" AHHHHH! "
BAM!
Before Thron could finish, Hulk, who should be at least 5 blocks away, appeared next to him after apparently having jumped towards him, punched with everything he could in Thron's face and grabbed him while the 2 fell, causing even more damage in the fall.
And even after that, the green monster didn't stop. He grabbed Thron's leg, and began to hit the man on the ground countless times as if he were a hammer.
"HULK SMASHES IRON CUCK! "Shouted the green giant before throwing Thron away, with him eventually hitting some wall and falling to the ground with his armor destroyed, his face disfigured and several parts of his body folded into strange angles.
Seeing Thron's bloody body and to Hulk's always angry face, Tony let out a small sigh of satisfaction while regretting not having a camera to record that moment.
Maybe his day wouldn't be as bad as he thought...
