Chapter 85 - Chapter 84 The Grand Duke's Triumphant Return

After a full day of rest, Kailar's spirit and magic power were naturally almost fully recovered. In fact, because life lies in exercise, Kailar, who had completely depleted his spiritual power and magic power yesterday, made a slight improvement.

What he had to do was very simple: lecture those rookie doctors.

Although Kailar had tried his best to ensure his students learned evenly, because he wanted to cultivate their free thinking, Kailar only vaguely hinted at some things, and some he didn't even mention at all: for example, psychology... His disciples, new to the battlefield, had no grasp of psychology whatsoever. Although these things require experience, the medical students, whose psychological preparation greatly underestimated the brutality of the battlefield, all had more or less a life or two on their hands. Bearing the weight of these lives, they would undoubtedly become more outstanding in the future.

In fact, later feminists have always highly praised this measure of Kailar's. They believed that it was Kailar who promoted women as a profession rather than as tools for reproduction, and that the concept of women as equal professionals and individuals was also first proposed by Kailar.

Most of the wounded soldiers' injuries had already been sutured, but for the sake of his students, Kailar could only slightly inconvenience them.

"Hansen, endure it." Kailar patted the big boy, whose eyes were firm, like a warrior bravely facing death, and pursed his lips, barely suppressing a smile. Under the gaze of over a dozen medical girls, even if he lost an arm, he could only pretend to be a tough guy... A bachelor in his twenties, you can't afford to be hurt! If it weren't for the City Guard profession, everyone else would have been married with children by now! At this moment.

Picking up the dagger nearby, Kailar directly cut open the scabbed area of Hansen's severed arm and began to quickly grasp his gushing hand, explaining: "Look, this is skin, this is subcutaneous tissue, this is a blood vessel, this is a capillary... this is a vein... this is an artery..."

Hansen cried... A guy whose hand was gushing blood like a fountain, you can't afford to be hurt, can you?!

Kailar only explained once, not caring whether the students remembered it or not, and simply threw a ball of light onto his wound: "Alright, Hansen, you're a true man. I'll heal you right away..."

Hansen's bone fragments slowly began to emerge. These were bones rapidly extending from the calcium absorbed from his body, followed by blood vessels, tendons, muscles, and skin.

When his hand revealed faintly reddish skin, the entire treatment was almost complete.

Gently patting Hansen, who was still frowning silently, Kailar smiled and instructed: "Eat more greens, salad, bones, and pig's blood."

Then Kailar shouted outside: "Next batch!"

Looking at the medical girl group, which still numbered over a hundred, Hansen had the honor of fainting... Of course, Kailar couldn't let Hansen be the guinea pig for everything. The good news was that he still had hundreds of test subjects... All the wounded soldiers suffered this ordeal once, and most of them fainted directly. Before they were carried away, they had only one thought: Thank goodness Sage is on our side. If Sage were to be an interrogator and executioner, it would probably be the nightmare of the entire world.

It was in this "harmonious and loving" learning atmosphere that Grand Duke Andrei returned.

He also brought back a special fellow, Kailar's old acquaintance: Gawain.

At this moment, Gawain sat on his horse, covered in wounds as if he had just been abused, and the Knights behind him were silent. Kailar easily noticed that his father's Knights had increased significantly.

Riding to meet him, Grand Duke Andrei noticed from a distance the mountain of Knight armor piled in the square, the warhorses tied to trees by the road, and the Knight spears, Knight swords, and other items.

Clearly, these things indicated that someone had attacked Red Leaf Ridge in his absence, and the fact that no one had come out to meet them by now meant that the Knight Order had been defeated... or annihilated?

The old-fashioned Grand Duke Andrei was not sure that Kailar could truly defeat a Knight Order with those militiamen... That would be too foolish.

"Kay, what happened?" Looking at Kailar's approaching figure, Grand Duke Andrei asked incredulously: "And is your mother alright?"

"Yes, everything's fine, Father." Kailar smiled: "After this battle, two Knight Orders have been disbanded."

Andre was not so shocked that he fell off his horse. Knight Orders disbanded? And two of them? How could that be! With merely five thousand rabble?

Grand Duke Andrei was utterly perplexed, but Kailar led his reins forward: "Alright, Father, this is not the place to talk. Let's go inside."

"Also, Agons, you can lift the war alert," Kailar said this to his disciple.

"Gawain, are you alright?" Coming to Gawain's horse, Kailar asked softly: "What exactly happened?"

Gawain gave a bitter smile: "What happened? Father was blinded by the throne, power, and money. I tried to stop him from rebelling and was thrown into prison. My uncle stormed Father's castle and chopped off his head. I led our family's Knights and surrendered directly. This is just too damn awful... What kind of shitty plot is this?" Gawain cursed fiercely, his face filled with sadness.

"I'm very sorry... It'll get better, Gawain, trust me." Patting Gawain's thigh—he could only reach that far—Kailar comforted him.

Giving Kailar a smile bitterer than a lotus seed heart, Gawain and his Knights entered the city with the air of stray dogs.

Inside the city, hearing that the Lord Mayor had returned triumphantly and that Kailar had withdrawn the war order, the people put their hearts at ease. Flowers, cheers, whistles, and a thunderous roar of joy.

The entire Red Leaf Ridge was filled with a joyful atmosphere.

Kailar quickly ascended the city wall of Red Leaf Fortress's inner castle. That was the most conspicuous spot, a place where everyone could see.

"Excellent, my father has returned victoriously, bringing us a double victory!" Kailar's first sentence made everyone uncontrollably straighten their chests with pride: "But, to defend our homeland, one thousand seven hundred and twenty-five people have lost their lives forever! They died to protect you, please observe thirty seconds of silence for them!" Kailar's words made everyone fall silent, gently closing their eyes and clasping their hands in mourning and prayer for the fallen warriors...
