Chapter 43 - Chapter 43: The Knight of the Lake, Lancelot.

The heavy blow not only shattered Cirno's snot bubble but also landed squarely on her face.

"Ugh ugh ugh ugh!!! Ooh ooh ooh ooh!" Cirno, with a red bump on her head, instantly jumped up. She paid no attention to Kayal and the others, no, it should be said that both of them completely ignored the three living people, Kayal. Cirno just let out a loud cry, brandishing an ice ball in her hand, and hurled it at the figure.

Who knows what that little brat did, but an ordinary wooden stick instantly shattered the ice ball and charged towards Cirno.

It was then that Cirno revealed the abilities a fairy should possess. She instantly flew up and floated over the lake, hands on her hips, laughing boisterously without any lady-like grace: "Hahahaha, you idiot, you idiot Lancelot! Let's see if you can still hit me! Ouch, that idiot Lancelot actually dared to sneak attack! I'll teach you a lesson!"

Suddenly, countless ice shards formed around her. Kayal, being proficient in physics, naturally knew that this was a phenomenon where the temperature dropped sharply, and water molecules, unable to escape, froze. Then, countless ice spikes flew out from the cold, frozen ice shards.

The barrage in mid-air drifted and scattered, all heading towards the figure named Lancelot.

At this point, the still figure finally allowed Kayal and the others to clearly see his appearance: short golden hair, a defiant, idiotic smile on his face, looking disdainfully at the ice spikes flying everywhere. He had fought this idiot countless times! He was more than familiar with that idiot's moves!

Facing so many ice spikes, with a smile that looked at an idiot, he swung his wooden stick, breaking the first few. The remaining ice spikes shot out to both sides. Seeing this, Lancelot's face showed an excited and contemptuous smile: "Only an idiot calls others idiots! Idiot Cirno, you'll never beat me!"

"Not good," Irene exclaimed, suddenly blocking Kayal and Atoris. She had completely underestimated that girl, or rather, that fairy, as a complete idiot. Except for the first seven or eight that Lancelot shattered, all the rest flew to both sides. And unfortunately, Kayal and his companions were on the two sides of their battle. Nearly fifty gleaming ice spikes flew towards them. Although it was impossible for every single one of these projectiles to hit, Irene dared not let a single one pass. With a speed invisible to the naked eye, a *clink* of a sheathed sword was heard, and all the ice spikes in mid-air turned into ice dust, falling like a crystal rain from the sky.

"What! Who are you guys!" Hands on her hips, no longer bothering with Lancelot, the blue idiot fairy floated in front of Kayal and the others, asking loudly.

"Kay, should we catch her?" Irene turned her head and asked softly.

Her words immediately enraged Cirno, who continuously conjured several ice balls, throwing them one by one towards their direction. Clearly, the ice balls were less lethal than the ice spikes, but their accuracy and power were greatly improved. Several ice balls were all aimed at Irene.

However, Irene didn't even use her Youki or her high-speed sword. With a few swift slashes, she cut all the ice balls into several pieces, which fell to the ground.

"Wow! So amazing!" Lancelot shouted loudly from over there.

"Catch her," Kayal smiled, pointing at Cirno, then pointed at Lancelot: "Atoris, go catch him."

Atoris brightened instantly. While following Kayal, she had always seemed somewhat indistinct. Gawain's martial arts were on par with hers, and her status made her feel a sense of inferiority. After Kayal accidentally discovered her female body that day, she felt even more awkward when facing her lord. Normally very serious, Atoris would be so nervous in front of Kayal that she couldn't even speak.

But now, Atoris finally felt: Lord Kayal trusts her, a girl! She had regained her lord's trust through her diligent study, hard training, and battles during this period.

And that annoying, idle brat had also been called home for dinner by his father. Now was finally her time to shine!

The time had come to regain her lord's confidence in her! If she could earn her lord's appreciation and attention, with their similar ages and Lord Kayal's wisdom fully assisting her…

Atoris believed that her long-cherished wish to ascend to the throne of the First Knight as a woman would not be too far off!

After witnessing the combat power of Teresa and the others, she no longer blindly believed in the superiority of men, or that men's combat power was greater than women's!

"Yes," she said. Drawing her knight's sword and holding it before her chest, Atoris's posture was very steady. After a month of fighting with the Claymores, she understood many principles: she couldn't match Sophia, who was known for her "arm strength," in power; she couldn't match Rolulia, who was "nimble," in flexibility; she couldn't surpass Irene, the "high-speed sword," in speed; and in overall combat, she humbly admitted defeat to that monster Teresa. After several fruitless attempts, she began to learn to adapt, using speed to counter dexterity, dexterity to counter arm strength, and arm strength to counter high speed, directly overpowering with a single strong blow.

The most important trick here was to discern the enemy's style and then attack their weak points!

Lancelot knew nothing of courtesy. From his sneak attack on Cirno just now, it was clear he fully believed in the law of the jungle.

He picked up another handy long wooden stick from under a nearby tree, and holding two wooden sticks, he charged forward.

The attack, like a storm, made Kayal click his tongue in wonder. This speed, this strength, this agility, and this keen combat sense like a wild beast… He was practically born for battle! Lancelot in battle was like a berserker, not only possessing the strength of a small leopard but also not falling behind in his beastly instincts!

After three moves, Atoris had already seen through Lancelot's fighting style, but she was constantly being suppressed! Why!

Because Lancelot was a man! Even though they looked the same age, having grown up in the wilderness, he not only possessed exceptional combat talent but could also predict the trajectory of a sword. Atoris had never felt so suppressed. This man, like herself, possessed the ability to see through an enemy's weaknesses, but compared to her trained abilities, Lancelot's innate intuition made him react faster! Coupled with greater strength, it was no wonder Atoris was being suppressed.

Kayal, of course, knew who Lancelot was. King Arthur's foremost general, known as the one who left no virgin in England*, the instigator of the Camelot civil war by seducing Queen Guinevere, and most importantly—his son Galahad, known as the most perfect knight, was the only one who could find and hold the Holy Grail.
