The plan was straightforward enough. Everyone would remain hidden while we waited for Gerry's arrival. Freya had given us the warning, though we couldn't be certain she was telling the truth. Still, if she was right, we needed solid evidence for the Council. Catching Gerry in the act of trying to force himself on me would be our best proof.
Austin wasn't thrilled with the arrangement, but as Alpha Irina and Alpha Donavan pointed out, our mental connection meant he'd know exactly when to intervene.
Tracker and Poe had efficiently installed recording equipment throughout my room, ensuring every moment would be captured. Gerry wouldn't escape this time.
I'm right here, Austin's voice echoed in my mind for what felt like the hundredth time.
