But not everyone could do it.
And even those who could were limited by how much chakra their meridians could handle.
When Sasuke confronted Itachi, he had overloaded his hands with Lightning chakra while preparing Chidori....exceeding his limit and damaging his skin.
Now Raizen's meridian system had 20% higher Lightning tolerance.
That meant techniques like Chidori could be pushed to a higher output.
After thinking it through, Raizen closed the entry panel and returned to practice shuriken to speed up the progress for that entry.

When school ended, Raizen excused Kurenai for the day, saw her off, and then hurried toward Kakashi's home.
Because once the White Fang died…
Kakashi would collapse into obsession—
throwing himself into developing Chidori.
Later in life, after Kakashi cut through natural lightning itself, Chidori would earn the name Lightning Blade.
Both techniques used the same three hand seals:

Raizen needed to get there before Kakashi completely abandoned his swordsmanship.

After a short walk, Raizen crossed a small pond and approached a large residence.

he called.
The wooden sliding door slowly creaked open—
revealing the interior.
Raizen saw a familiar face—Tsunade.
She seemed to be treating someone, with Shizune standing beside her, about the same age as Raizen.
"Raizen."
A messy white-haired boy stepped out from behind the sliding wooden door and walked to the courtyard fence.
"I came to check why you took the day off," Raizen said casually.
"Nothing," Kakashi replied. His voice was colder than usual, and his eyes were bloodshot.
"Kakashi, since your friend is here for you, let him in," a voice from inside said.
"Yes, Father."
Kakashi stepped aside.
"Come in, Raizen."
"Excuse me."
Raizen followed him and pushed open the door.
Inside, several people were gathered....Tsunade, Shizune, Orochimaru.
Two of the Legendary Sannin were present.
At the back of the room sat a long silver-haired man with a ponytail, his body wrapped in blood-soaked bandages.
"Lord Sakumo," Raizen said with respect.
He then greeted Tsunade and Orochimaru.
"It's been a long time, Lady Tsunade."
"It's you, Uchiha brat," Tsunade said, narrowing her eyes.
This kid's talent in taijutsu was even better than she had expected. His physique had grown remarkably strong in a short time.
I'm Kakashi's father. Since you are friends, there's no need to be so formal," Hatake Sakumo smiled gently.
"Heh… Uchiha…" Orochimaru licked his lips slightly, purple markings beside his nose and dangling earrings swaying.
He had already heard of Uchiha Raizen from Danzo.
