Darius turned on his heel and stalked off. Not ran. Not stormed away in blind rage. He walked with deliberate, controlled steps that were somehow more terrifying than any outburst. Each footfall seemed to shake the ground, or maybe that was just the bond screaming between us, protesting the distance growing with every step he took.
The crowd parted for him instantly. Students scrambled backward, pressing against each other to clear a path. Smart. His wolf was barely contained beneath his skin, visible in the way his shoulders hunched and his hands flexed at his sides. One wrong move, one person stupid enough to get in his way, and someone was going to get hurt.
