"Is that why it changed?" I asked, still staring down at the map like it might suddenly shift again on its own.
"Yes." Kasteil tapped lightly on the screen again, and the display changed once more. This time, colors appeared across different areas of the pack, little icons showing clouds, temperature readings, and wind directions. Some areas blinked faintly as if updating in real time.
"Wow," I gasped before I could stop myself. It was honestly impressive. I had never seen anything like it up close before. The way the map responded instantly to his touch made it feel almost alive, like the entire pack was right there under his fingertips.
Kasteil glanced at me briefly, clearly amused by my reaction.
"You like it?" he asked.
"It's so cool," I admitted, leaning a little closer to the table again, watching the moving icons shift across the districts. "I didn't know something like this existed."
"There are a lot of things people don't see unless they come here," he said casually.
