Soren woke up feeling like absolute shit.
His head was pounding, and his body felt so heavy that even opening his eyes seemed like too much work. He lay still for a while, staring at the ceiling and regretting every drink he'd had the previous night.
Not that he would admit they'd made a mistake. They had fun, after all. A lot of fun, actually. The karaoke had been terrible, the singing even worse, and the laughter had gone on for so long that nobody seemed to care about how ridiculous they sounded.
Still, he was never drinking that much again.
At least, that was what he told himself every time he woke up with a hangover.
The space beside him was empty. Nicholas had already left for work, which meant Soren had the house to himself. He considered staying in bed for another hour, but the thought of drinking some water and getting something warm into his stomach eventually won.
With a groan, he pushed the covers aside and dragged himself into the bathroom.
