Chapter 232 - Chapter 619: The Tragic Kyurem

On a small island in Alola, Kyurem was completely dumbfounded right now.

A few days ago, he had been planning to behead Axel, so he created a massive Ice-type barrier.

Only later did he realize that aside from himself being unable to get out, all of Axel's Pokémon could come and go freely.

What was even more ridiculous was that bastard actually treating him like an EXP farm, grinding him endlessly.

First it was Rayquaza bringing that Gyarados who had mastered space to farm him, and after that, more and more Pokémon showed up.

Mewtwo, Ho-Oh, Eternatus, all of them completely treating him like an EXP farm.

Later on, even those two trash Black and White Dragons showed up.

At the very beginning, when Rayquaza was swapped out for the Black and White Dragons, Kyurem was actually pretty excited.

He felt that after fusing with those two guys, he might be able to escape alive and wouldn't need Pryce to come save him.

But then something absurd happened. He was only briefly controlled by Mewtwo, and right after that he realized that those two guys, just like him, had actually also mastered fusion!

After the White Dragon was fused by the Black Dragon, he simply could not fuse with it.

Zekrom (White Flare)? What the hell was that? He had never seen anything like it in his life.

Up to this point, things were still manageable, because he was, after all, the body of the Unova Dragon God. Even if he couldn't devour the fused Unova Dragon God (Mind), he wouldn't be reduced to being pinned to the ground and rubbed around by the two of them.

The real problem was that damned White Dragon.

No idea who gave him that twisted idea, but he actually encouraged that little shark to gnaw on the ice fragments Kyurem dropped on the ground.

It perfectly solved the bug where Kyurem could endlessly recover using the scattered power on the ground.

In just a few short days, he had helplessly watched that little shark go from Gible to Gabite.

If Pryce didn't come save him soon, that little shark would probably eat its way into becoming a Garchomp.

But Kyurem was still holding on. He firmly believed that Pryce would definitely come save him.

Not because of bonds, but because that guy needed his power.

———

After making up his mind to integrate his forces, Axel and Gardevoir quickly arrived at the prison Kyurem had created.

Inside, it sounded extremely quiet. It seemed to be Kyurem's rest time.

Axel actually understood this quite well. If you wanted sustainable development, you definitely couldn't just smash this guy to death in one go.

Killing someone with resurrection methods like this brought Axel no benefit at all.

Gyarados was the first to sense Axel's arrival through space and hurriedly opened a passage.

After entering the passage, aside from Mewtwo and Kyurem, all the other Pokémon stood up immediately.

Kyurem wasn't standing not because of backbone, but because he simply couldn't stand up.

The first thing Axel saw was the Black and White Dragons stepping on Kyurem, forcibly pressing his head down to face Mewtwo's video player.

And on the screen, a very old animated cartoon was playing.

["Ice Age: The Paradise of Ice-type Pokémon."]

The White Dragon's extremely punchable voice kept ringing out, ["Look how big Ice Age is."]

["You useless thing, you can't even make a single ice shard anymore, and you still have the nerve to call us trash!"]

["You still dare call yourself an Ice Dragon?"]

["Hurry up and make ice, hurry up and make ice!"]

Axel: "..."

That White Dragon really was top-tier scum..l

When he couldn't beat Kyurem, he wanted to call him dad the moment they met. Once he could beat him, he flipped instantly.

Truly shitting on someone's head.

But it looked like the results weren't bad. The little shark had successfully evolved into Gabite, and its level had reached 45. It was only one step away from level 48 and evolving into Garchomp.

Its aptitude had also recovered to god-tier, and it had gained many more moves, along with a trait related to Ice-type resistance.

Looks like over the next few days, he could focus on nurturing this little guy.

Its "sit-and-eat-the-mountain-empty" trait was rather special. After it evolved into Garchomp, it might even be able to briefly participate in the war against Necrozma.

"Alright, let him go. I'll talk to him for a bit."

Axel wanted to try and see whether, if he didn't beat him for a few days, he could get Kyurem to voluntarily contribute some resources.

That way, although the other Pokémon's level gains would slow down a bit, the little shark's level would enter a period of rapid ascent.

["Let him go?"], The Black and White Dragons blinked, looking somewhat worried about Axel's safety.

Even though they knew Axel was very strong now, strong enough to sink Sky Pillar with a single strike, they were still afraid something might happen to him.

During the time they had followed Axel, they had truly and deeply felt the benefits.

That was real, tangible combat power growth.

At the beginning, the two of them followed Axel only to defeat each other.

But in less than half a year, not only had they completed their resurrection, their strength had also undergone a round of rapid improvement.

Even Kyurem, who had once been so high and mighty, was now being pinned to the ground and rubbed around by the two of them.

At this point, neither of them could leave Axel anymore.

"It's fine. Let him go," Axel casually lifted his arm.

If it were Kyurem at the beginning, Axel really wouldn't have been able to beat him.

But now, this guy was already in such miserable shape that his strength had long been damaged beyond recognition.

["Alright,"] The Black and White Dragons nodded lightly, baring their teeth at Kyurem.

["If you dare sneak attack my master, the two of us will swallow you whole sooner or later!"]

Kyurem tugged at the corner of his mouth, the pent-up rage in his chest almost shooting straight to the top of his head.

Because of Axel, he had actually fallen to the point of being warned by these two guys.

He took a deep breath and forcibly squeezed out a smile, with not a trace of anger visible, ["Relax, I won't sneak attack."]

["You'd better not,"] The Black and White Dragons slowly stood up, still watching Kyurem warily.

Gardevoir blinked playfully, her telepathic voice appearing in Axel's mind.

["Master... he wants to sneak attack you. Want me to hit him?"]

Axel gently waved his hand and slowly shook his head. He could also tell that this guy wanted to sneak attack him.

But this was a very necessary process.

If he didn't beat him into submission, how could Kyurem willingly produce resources for the little shark?

"ROAR!"

The instant the Black and White Dragons released their restraint, Kyurem suddenly let out a massive roar. The few remaining scales on his body rapidly fell off, shooting toward Axel with dense purple light.

Scale Shot, one of the Dragon-type moves best suited for sneak attacks, capable of firing dragon scales at extreme speed.

After releasing the scales, Kyurem felt most of the pent-up rage in his chest dissipate, and he almost couldn't help bursting into laughter.

But before that joy could even show on his face, he saw something he couldn't understand.

Right before his eyes, Axel actually pushed both hands forward and used Protect.

The laughter stuck halfway instantly caught in Kyurem's throat.

'What the hell, is this still a human?'
