Chapter 27 - Chapter 404: Palkia: This Mewtwo Looks Pretty Easy to Fight?

Seeing Palkia point at him, Dialga wanted to curse.

From his perspective, he was minding his own time, and Palkia had barged in for no reason.

He only wanted to drive Palkia away, and then this string of miserable events happened.

Not only was he messed with countless times, just when he was about to turn things around he was snapped up with red chains like a dog.

More absurdly, some trainer showed up with a bunch of legendaries to avenge that trainer who'd been messing with him.

'I'm the real victim here, damn it!'

The more Dialga thought about it, the angrier he got, his emotions losing control as he let out a roar toward Palkia.

Red temporal energy gathered around him, forming a huge sphere.

Seeing Dialga still trying to act, Axel's gaze fell on Mesprit, and he nodded lightly.

The red chains swung again, lashing hard at the temporal energy coiling around Dialga.

Under the suppression of the chains, the temporal energy instantly collapsed.

At the same time, Gardevoir moved.

She raised her lance, and with endless Fairy and Ice energy stabbed straight through, easily striking Dialga, who had been relying on his divine authority.

Dialga's eyes burned with even more rage.

If a few other legendaries had acted, he could have tolerated it.

But a single Gardevoir dared to strike him again and again?

Dialga felt scorned. He wasn't afraid of Fairy types.

["Lowly reptile, I will, what the!"]

Dialga didn't finish his sentence; his voice suddenly rose, full of shock.

He saw the moon in the sky flicker, and a dozen beams of lunar energy erupted with a thunderous blast.

Palkia shuddered, opened a portal and hid to the side, patting his chest hard, watching where the moonlight fell with lingering fear, offering a silent condolence for Dialga.

'Instant Moonblast?'

Even after living for thousands of years, he'd never seen something this ridiculous.

Under the continuous onslaught of the lunar power, Dialga's aura visibly withered.

Without his divine office, his combat power was no match for Gardevoir at all.

Whether it was the terrifying base stats of the Fairy Queen form or the strength of instantaneously cast Fairy moves, everything seemed unbelievable to Dialga.

Plus, Gardevoir was acting with the intent to avenge Cynthia, almost every attack was a big move.

Within just a few minutes, Dialga had already been overwhelmed by the frosty torrent behind Gardevoir.

Seeing victory assured on Gardevoir's side, Axel smiled at a dumbfounded Palkia, "Pick one?"

Axel knew how important the Twin Dragons of Time and Space were to this world; killing them was out of the question.

And judging by their temperaments, their fight likely came from some misunderstanding.

Otherwise, the two of them usually lived in their own nodes, minding their own business.

But they had indeed caused disasters; they couldn't just be let go.

Palkia's gaze swept over Rayquaza, Ho-Oh and the others. Every one of them made his head ache.

Pick Rayquaza?

He'd probably be killed.

Eternatus?

Dialga had just said this dragon nearly drained a whole region.

Ho-Oh wasn't simple either, flying across regions like a camera and able to handle three godlike beasts at once.

But if he didn't pick anyone, would they gang up on him?

Finally, Palkia's gaze landed on the Mewtwo he'd never seen before.

This one didn't look that fierce, and she even held something like a video player.

Clearly not a serious Pokémon.

["Alright, little sister, you're chosen!"]

"Mhm?", Seeing she'd been picked, Mewtwo grinned.

She'd already been thinking of teaching these two a lesson.

'Because being a regional guardian didn't mean you couldn't be cute like the Black & White dragons, right?'

Laughing, Mewtwo materialized beside Palkia.

Her giant spoon swept horizontally, slamming hard into Palkia's shoulder like a shield.

BANG!

With a huge crash, Palkia was flung sideways by Mewtwo's attack.

Palkia himself fell into a deep state of confusion.

'What the heck is this thing?'

No skill used, and he took such serious damage.

It felt even more unreasonable than that Gardevoir.

Now Palkia only wanted to shout, ["I want to switch out."]

But Mewtwo didn't give him that chance.

Her spoon kept swinging; the dense slaps sounded almost continuous.

Even if Palkia used moves to obstruct her, it was difficult to deal meaningful damage, each strike from that spoon was effortlessly negated.

On the contrary, every one of Mewtwo's moves easily dealt massive damage to Palkia.

This was, without doubt, a one-sided battle.

Below the battlefield, Cynthia blinked hard, staring at the sky in disbelief.

"Axel... what on earth have you been doing these days?"

The last time they parted, Mewtwo had been Axel's main Pokémon.

But in such a short time, how did Rayquaza even get to Axel's side?

And Gardevoir... had even gained unbelievable power capable of suppressing gods.

Town Guardian lay on the ground like a dead dog, staring up at the sky.

His shock wasn't less than Cynthia's, maybe even greater.

What kind of terrifying beings had he and Axel been facing these past few days?

Just thinking about how he'd spent those days side by side with Axel made Town Guardian's scalp tingle, "How the hell can I save Lord Cyrus?"

The small town's residents saw the situation finally stabilize, and with the newcomers standing beside Cynthia, they cheered one after another.

"We survived at last!"

"Wahhh, that scared me to death. I haven't even gone traveling yet, almost thought I was gonna die."

"Mom, Dad won't leave anymore!"

"Thank you, sir, for saving our lives! Thank you!"

"..."

By the end, shouts of thanks to Axel had already become a chorus!

Looking at the excited crowd below, Axel gently stroked Cynthia's head. His voice entered everyone's minds via telepathy.

["If anyone should be thanked, thank Cynthia. Gardevoir and the others are Cynthia's friends."]

["For you all... she has already held on for a long time in front of Dialga."]

"What are you doing?", Seeing Axel credit her, Cynthia blushed and lightly punched Axel's chest.

Axel smiled, "It was your merit. If you hadn't held on so long, they'd have been killed by the aftereffects of those two long ago."

Cynthia didn't argue further, looking at Axel with some curiosity.

"So how do you plan to deal with these two?"
