Chapter 94 - Chapter 94: Levi: My hometown has a tradition…

After that, Stelle carefully explained everything to Asta again.

The "worlds" Elysia talked about, and the worlds Asta understood... were not the same kind of worlds.

"That something so amazing could actually let me join in…"

After Stelle's explanation, Asta finally understood and couldn't help marveling at her own luck.

Suddenly, she thought of something and immediately asked Stelle and Kiana, [Then is the Mr. Cold Feet who brought me here also in the chat group?]

Stelle and Kiana looked at each other and both fell into thought.

If nothing unexpected happened, the "Mr. Cold Feet" Asta was talking about was Levi.

In the chat group, only he was in the same world as Asta, and only he would give himself such a ridiculous name as "Mr. Cold Feet."

But the two of them also shared the same doubt.

The "Mr. Cold Feet" she mentioned was a diviner from the Divination Commission, and he had a very deep connection with the head of the Divination Commission, that Master Diviner.

Although Levi also had connections with the Divination Commission, those were with its diviners.

Judging from how run-down his home looked when Kiana saw it, there was no way he could be related to that high-ranking, powerful Master Diviner.

Unable to confirm for the moment whether Levi really was Mr. Cold Feet, the two decided to probe him in the chat group.

"You go. I don't feel like dealing with him right now."

Stelle nodded and started a private chat with Levi.

[Stelle: Are you Mr. Cold Feet?]

[Ding-dong!]

Seeing Stelle's private message, Levi's hand paused in the middle of drawing a tile.

[Levi: No… but I know who is.]

Before Stelle could ask further, another message from Levi arrived.

[Levi: Have you heard of the Tavern of Joy? That's where the Masked Fools gather.]

[Levi: I have someone there. They mentioned that one of the Masked Fools there uses the alias you mentioned, "Mr. Cold Feet."]

[Levi: But why are you asking about this? Did that bunch of jokers turn you into a joke?]

[Stelle: No, just thanking!]

"He said he's not Mr. Cold Feet, but he knows who Mr. Cold Feet is…" She then repeated everything Levi had said.

Asta frowned slightly. "Mr. Cold Feet is a Masked Fool… but he didn't feel like one to me."

When she talked with him, there wasn't that overwhelming sense of joy.

And he really did help her solve her data problem.

He shouldn't be a Masked Fool from the tavern.

Asta opened the chat group. Levi's avatar looked a bit familiar, so she tapped it, took one look, and immediately closed it.

She already had a basic impression of him in her heart.

'A pervert.'

Looking through everyone, apart from Levi being male, all the other members were female.

And most of Levi's face was blocked by whatever was on his head, so she couldn't see him clearly at all.

So she couldn't tell whether Levi was that shop owner or not.

[Ding! A bug has been detected in the chat group! Repairs are now starting…]

[Repairs complete. The mission will be forcibly ended and then restarted. Please wait patiently.]

———

"Huled!"

Qingque's excited voice pulled Levi back to reality from the chat group repair notice.

"Successfully achieved fifteen consecutive wins!" Qingque was over the moon. She had never won this smoothly before.

The other two paid what they had lost and left the tile parlor shaking their heads.

Levi looked at the jade tablet Qingque held out toward him and reached out to push her little hand aside.

Then, from who-knows-where, he took out a book over a hundred pages thick and placed it on the table.

Seeing Qingque's confused look, Levi gestured for her to open it and take a look.

Qingque looked puzzled, but she did as told.

After just flipping two pages, Qingque realized something was wrong.

She flipped straight to the last page and stared at the signature there.

"When did I become your sl*ve?!"

Qingque slammed the table and demanded.

"Doesn't it hurt?"

Looking at the hand she had hidden behind her back, Levi asked with concern.

It was all his property anyway, if it got damaged, its value would drop.

"Don't change the subject!" Qingque pointed at Levi's chest, her expression fierce. "When did I agree to be your sl*ve?!"

"Do you know forging a signature is illegal?!"

"Agree, agree, agree… I agree! Hurry up and let go of me!"

Levi calmly put away the recorder. "Do you have anything else you want to say?"

"..."

Hearing her own voice, the anger on Qingque's face froze.

The people in the tile parlor who had been drawn by the noise all shook their heads.

"Times are really going downhill. Kids these days play so wild, aren't they afraid something will happen?"

Hearing the murmurs behind her, Qingque's face turned red. "I thought… I thought…"

Her sense of shame made her stammer, unable to finish.

"Thought what, exactly."

Levi tapped the contract on the table. "You're already my sl*ve now, and you still want to ask your master for credits?"

"You asshole! You just don't want to pay because you lost!"

"Very good, you guessed right. As a reward, you get to sleep under a bridge tonight."

At that moment, an untimely voice sounded.

"Little brother, look, this sl*ve of yours has such a bad temper and doesn't listen. Would you be willing to sell her to me?"

A richly dressed, pot-bellied man suddenly appeared beside Levi without any warning, smiling as he sized up Qingque.

He had secretly glanced at that contract earlier. The woman in front of him really was the other party's sl*ve, not some couple playing around.

That was why he had stepped forward to ask.

After all… Xianzhou sl*ves were rare in the universe.

"What do you say, little brother?"

Levi looked at him calmly. Frightened by the man's gaze, Qingque moved next to Levi and hugged his arm.

Curling his lips, Levi showed a smile, but it was one that made people feel a bit cold.

"Then can you sell me your wife and daughter?"

"You!"

The man's gentle expression immediately collapsed. Pointing at Levi, he shouted angrily, "I kindly came to trade with you and you insult me like this?! Are all you Xianzhou people this unreasonable?!"

"I'm trading too! Why are you reacting so strongly?"

Levi spread his hands innocently. With a flip of his fingers, a card appeared and was slapped onto the table.

"Take this and swipe it however you want. Swipe as much as you like, don't be shy."

The man looked down at the card on the table. Seeing the colors on it, like the body of Qlipoth, his expression turned uncertain.

"What, you don't dare swipe it now?" Levi's expression turned cold.

"I'm playing with her here, and you come sticking your nose in, are you looking for death?"

"You should be glad this is the Xianzhou. If this were out in the universe and I ran into a sl*ve trader like you, you'd be dead for sure."

Levi leaned in and said quietly, "You should know, back in my hometown, there's a tradition of killing an entire family if you don't agree with someone."

"I'm already being nice, I usually only kill the person who annoyed me."

As he spoke, he raised his hand and the Flaming Greatsword appeared. The blade swept over the contract, and blazing flames set it on fire.

Then Levi waved his hand, and both the card and the greatsword vanished.

He grabbed Qingque's hand and left the tile parlor.

———

"Why isn't he back yet?"

Silver Wolf complained after playing who-knew-how-many rounds of games with her friends.

According to her intel, Levi should have already left the Divination Commission with that diviner by now.

So why hadn't he come home yet?

Bang! Bang! Bang!

"He's back?!"

"Wage sl*ve!"

The small figure, hearing the order, flew toward the front door.

With a "click," the door opened, revealing three figures outside.
