Chapter 36 - Chapter 370: Unable to Refuse

[Uchiha Training Ground]

At this time Hinata and Naruto were both not suitable to go out on missions.

While everyone else was busy, Sasuke and Naruto were actually a bit idle.

So Sasuke invited Naruto to his house to train together.

Naruto was no longer publicly the Nine-Tails' jinchuriki, so no one was restricting where he could go anymore.

BOOM!

BOOM!

BOOM!

Naruto and Sasuke were throwing fists and kicks at each other in the training field, having a blast.

At first Sasuke didn't use his Sharingan, and Naruto didn't use Shadow Clone.

After a while they finished warming up and each retreated.

"Sasuke, I'm getting serious!", Naruto crossed his arms.

Sasuke's eyes switched to the double tomoe Sharingan.

"Come on!"

"Shadow Clone Technique!"

Bang! Bang! Bang!

After a series of popping noises, more than ten Narutos appeared in the field, each charging forward holding kunai.

Sasuke drew a blade from his waist; he had practiced it for a long time and it was time for real combat.

Shadows flickered and the two of them were at it again.

Compared to before they were both steadier now, fighting with taijutsu.

Although Naruto had many clones, Sasuke still had a slight edge in body coordination and observation.

They'd been sparring for a long time without using full force.

Two pale-eyed girls walked to the side and, without planning it, both fighters stopped.

Hinata and Hanabi didn't look in a good mood.

Naruto and Sasuke exchanged a glance, and Sasuke gave Naruto a look.

"Hinata, are you fully recovered?", Naruto ran up to Hinata and asked with concern.

Hinata lifted her head and forced a smile, "Yes, I've recovered. Thank you, Naruto."

Naruto scratched his head, suddenly not knowing what to say; after all, something so big had happened to Hinata's family and he didn't know how to comfort her.

Hinata fell silent.

The atmosphere made Sasuke uncomfortable all over; he saw Hanabi behind Hinata, so he squatted down and asked Hanabi with concern, "Hanabi, are you getting used to being here? If you need anything, tell me."

Hanabi forced a smile too, "Thank you, Sasuke-nii. Rengoku-sama has made arrangements."

Sasuke had nothing to say either; the four of them sank into an awkward silence with nothing to say.

Luckily at that moment two people appeared and broke the awkwardness.

"You're here."

Rengoku walked over and found these four standing about, which looked a little odd.

Hinata saw Rengoku arrive and breathed a sigh of relief.

"Rengoku-sama, I've recovered and can rejoin the team."

Hinata's team leader was Itachi, but she still knew Rengoku was the one in charge here.

"Konoha isn't very peaceful right now. We aren't letting you go on missions because Sasuke and Naruto are likely targets."

"It's not because of you that Naruto and Sasuke aren't going on missions."

Rengoku could see Hinata was only barely suppressing her inner pain.

"You're not in good condition now. Don't think about going on missions."

"Naruto, take Hinata into the village, get something to eat, walk around a bit."

Rengoku glanced at Naruto; as his Sharingan turned, an illusion was already triggered.

Naruto blanked for a moment, then came to, "Yes, I understand, Principal."

He went straight to Hinata and took her hand.

"???"

Hinata was still in a daze and suddenly felt her hand gripped tightly by Naruto.

Naruto pulled her and walked outside.

"Hey! Naruto!"

"Naruto!"

Hinata's heart raced.

Although time in the elite class had desensitized Hinata a bit, this was still the first time Naruto had taken her hand proactively.

She struggled a little, and when she found Naruto didn't let go, she gave up.

Who could refuse the person they love holding their hand tightly?

Naruto actually felt Hinata's slight struggling and her quick surrender, and couldn't help admiring the principal's foresight.

Because just now Rengoku had used an illusion to tell Naruto to hold Hinata's hand and take her shopping in Konoha, the requirement was not to let go of her hand.

Although Hinata would struggle a bit, she would then give up.

Naruto was somewhat slow in matters of the heart; he didn't even know Hinata liked him now.

But Naruto had suffered a lot as a child and could empathize easily; he also had the capacity to love.

When Hinata had been bullied as a child, he stepped up for her, let alone now that her father was dead.

Rengoku assigned Naruto the "task" of accompanying Hinata to play, and Naruto naturally would take good care of her.

Hinata was taken away, while Hanabi stayed behind.

"Hanabi, would you like to go to school? If you want to, I'll arrange for you to go to a class there."

Hanabi was still young enough to be in school; more peers would at least be better than staying cooped up at home.

Hanabi had previously stayed in the clan's main house every day, never going out beyond the gate; aside from a few attendants, she hardly met anyone.

She actually yearned for school.

"Yes, Rengoku-sama, I want to go."

Rengoku raised his hand and Rin came over quickly, "Take Hanabi to the school to look around and arrange a class for her."

"Yes, Clan Chief."

Hanabi was soon taken away.

With Karin finally not at his side, Sasuke leaned over, "Shishou, you haven't guided me in a long time."

Rengoku tapped Sasuke's forehead with his hand, a "bonk" sound.

"You still have the nerve to say that, what were you doing running off so fast the other day?"

Sasuke rubbed his forehead awkwardly, "Uh… that was because Karin was there."

At that moment Rengoku noticed a figure sneaking up behind Sasuke.

"Oh, didn't you two make a bet?"

"Did you settle it?"

Rengoku smiled; he remembered Sasuke had placed a bet with Karin during the chunin exams a few days ago, so he asked casually.

Sasuke lowered his head in annoyance, "No, there's no need to compare. I'm no match for Karin."

He wasn't stupid, the formation Karin set up could even restrain attackers coming after Naruto.

Karin's chakra quantity and chakra control were far superior to his.

"Fine then! Since you conceded, don't hide from me these two days."

Karin's voice sounded behind Sasuke, making him jump, "Karin! When did you get here!"

Karin came to Rengoku, grabbed his hand, and scolded Sasuke with displeasure, "Hmph! Why do you care when I arrived? Now the Shishou's here, since you admitted defeat, you must call me Senpai!"

Sasuke protested, "That's unfair. Karin, you have more chakra because you've grown up."

Karin made a face at Sasuke, "But my chunin exam score was better than yours. What do you say to that?"

Sasuke froze for a moment, then said, "Impossible! I should have had a perfect score on the first test!"
