'How very interesting…' Azrael mused as he hid a curious smirk behind his raised tea cup. His nose had never deceived him, not even once.
The maid who had poured tea for him had met his eyes and blushed, but he didn't mind it. It was a common reaction whenever he was around women.
But there was something else in her eyes that was similar to recognition and it made him curious.
Still, he didn't pay too much attention to it. He had a lot of enemies, too many to count.

He brushed off the maid's recognition and her flustered face, but there was one thing he couldn't dismiss, and it was the scent that followed.
The smell of jealousy.
If there had been as many ladies in the room as there were men, Azrael would have disregarded that scent as well. But after the maid had left, only one woman remained.
