Ashelia felt like something was missing from her the moment she stepped out of the inn's old doors. She kept looking back toward the building with confusion as if she couldn't even understand her own actions.
"Is something bothering you, Shelia?" The Duke asked as he walked beside her. "Did you leave something behind?"
Ashelia shook her head slowly, like she wasn't sure of herself. "I… I don't think so," she answered.
Her father spared a concerned glance at her as they made their way towards his waiting horse. "You don't sound sure," he noted.
Ashelia didn't say another word and only lightly tugged at the sleeve of her dress. She really didn't want to leave the inn and she didn't know why.
The feeling was a little frustrating. This place meant nothing to her.
'What's wrong with me?'
She let out a sigh and shook her head as if to get rid of the thoughts.
