Malfurion's Meditation - The Weight of Steel
(Fragment from Malfurion's early reflections, composed in study.)
Athelan came for her without warning. That is the way of true trials - when the lesson begins not with readiness, but with surprise.
Lytavis rose to meet it. She did not plead, nor falter. There was steadiness in her spine even as she turned toward the gates. In that, I saw her strength.
But what held my attention was not her. It was Tyrande. Her hands tightened on her friend's, her voice rose in protest, her heart unwilling to let go. She felt the trial as if it were her own. She carries compassion too wide to be contained.
The wild does not wait for prayers. Yet I believe Elune hears such hearts more clearly than any ritual.
Lytavis will walk her path. Tyrande will walk beside her in spirit. And I…
I will remember the way her faith trembled, but did not break.
