Chapter 91 - Longing

Far away from the continent of Mira…

far away from the Human Empire…

and far away from any living being…

On a remote island, distant from the chaos that had arisen between the demons and the inhabitants of the continent of Mira, there was an island once inhabited by Zeus and his sons before they left for Asgard.

But…

After Zeus killed all the island's inhabitants,

no one remained.

It became silent.

Desolate.

Empty of life.

And yet…

Something strange was happening there.

At the very center of the island,

a strange vortex of energy began to form.

It was not natural.

It was not stable.

And suddenly—

The vortex twisted in a terrifying way,

as if something inside it was struggling to break free.

In the next moment,

a figure covered in blood

from head to toe

emerged from it.

As soon as the figure stepped out,

the vortex vanished instantly,

as though it had never existed.

The person staggered for a moment.

Then, upon realizing they had truly arrived here,

they let out a strange laugh—

distorted,

filled with pain.

In a hoarse voice, they said:

"I escaped you, Father…

Did you see that?

You will not find me here…"

But their body could endure no more.

In the next instant,

they collapsed to the ground

from the severe wounds they carried

and the blood they had lost.

As they fell,

their blood-soaked hair shifted slightly away from their face,

revealing their features.

It was her.

Forn.

The runaway princess.

At first, her blood-stained hair made her unrecognizable.

But once it moved aside,

her features became clear.

Despite the distortion caused by pain and injuries,

despite her extreme pallor,

the wounds could not conceal Forn's beauty.

And so…

Princess Forn lay unconscious

in the middle of nowhere,

on an abandoned island,

unknown to anyone.

Except that there was someone…

who had not been accounted for.

A few hours earlier,

on the island of Asgard,

Odin and his brothers were sitting in Odin's new house,

watching the children train in combat.

When Hades saw one of Odin's children defeat his daughter,

he frowned and shouted angrily:

"What are you doing, you fool?!

Focus properly and show them what you're made of!"

Odin looked at him in confusion and said:

"Why are you in my house, brother?

Several months have already passed, and we built houses sufficient for us and the children.

Why aren't you in your own home?"

Then he looked at his other brothers and added:

"And you as well—why are you here?

Go and do something useful.

Don't be lazy."

When Odin said that,

his sister Athena looked at him calmly, with a trace of pride, and said:

"Do not worry, brother.

I have trained my eldest daughter well in using her power.

And the plan I devised to choose a partner for each of our children has already been set—

it is about to be implemented."

After Athena spoke,

Hades also said in a serious tone:

"I have trained my eldest daughter to use her power and control it.

She is now discovering her strength—and her weaknesses as well.

That is why she is here… for safety, so she does not harm anyone."

When he finished,

Poseidon spoke in turn:

"And I as well… I have done what I needed to do."

A brief silence fell.

Then he suddenly laughed mockingly.

"No… I just remembered!

I'm the only one our dear brother did not assign any important task to!

Hahaha!"

When Odin heard their responses,

he frowned and said sharply:

"You have become lazy…

and soon you will become examples of useless individuals who accomplish nothing."

But—

Before he could finish his sentence,

he suddenly fell silent.

His expression changed.

Something like surprise appeared on his face…

and something deeper.

Longing.

When Athena noticed him like that,

she said with slight concern:

"What is it, Odin?

Is something wrong?"

Upon hearing her voice,

he quickly returned from his thoughts and said:

"Do you remember our former home?"

His brothers looked at him in confusion.

Poseidon shook his head and said:

"You mean the one on this mountain, brother?"

Odin smiled faintly.

"No…

Do you remember the island we lived on before we came here?"

At that, Hades stood up from his chair and approached him.

"You mean the island Father destroyed?

Yes… what about it?"

Seeing their interest, Odin chuckled lightly.

"What I meant is this: I sent my raven on a journey to the continent of Mira, so we could know everything happening there… understand what is going on."

Then he continued:

"But my raven…

on its way…

found the island we once lived on, my brothers."

As he said that,

he raised one hand.

"Look…"

Suddenly, a vortex of spiritual energy appeared in the air,

displaying what Odin was seeing through his raven.

When Athena saw their former island,

she stood as well and said warmly:

"It was an island inhabited by all races…

and we were their rulers.

Do you remember those memories, my brothers… and those slaves?"

When Poseidon heard her,

he laughed.

"Yes, I remember that game we used to play…

who could kill the most slaves!"

Then he added, still laughing:

"Do you remember?

Those were days when we didn't need to lift a finger…

we had slaves doing everything for us."

He struck his chair excitedly and said:

"What do you think about bringing the children to see the island we once ruled and lived on?

I think that would be wonderful!"

And as soon as he said that,

he waved his hand,

not caring whether his brothers agreed or not.

Then he called out loudly:

"Children!

Come here…

and look at the island we once ruled and lived on!"
