Chapter 82 - Disappearance

Just a few minutes before Hades used his power, Poseidon was sitting with his children, talking to them about the future and about the way he had awakened his own power, trying to explain it to them in his own unique way.

He spoke in a serious tone as he looked at them one by one:

"Do you understand, children? You must do exactly what I did. Is that clear?"

Poseidon's eldest son glanced at his fourth sister, confusion clearly written on his face. He didn't know how to answer his father, but when he met his sister's look, he immediately understood what she wanted to say. He quickly turned his gaze back to his father and said in a hesitant, sarcastic tone:

"Father… did Hades hit you on the head or something?"

The moment Poseidon heard his son's words, he was about to scold him, but his fourth daughter spoke before him, her voice filled with clear objection:

"Father, what if our powers have nothing to do with water or the ocean at all? Do we just drown ourselves to follow your instructions? Are you sure you're Odin's brother, Father? You don't have any of his intelligence."

Poseidon exploded with rage. Without hesitation, he struck both children on the head with his fists at the same time and shouted angrily:

"You little brats! I never told you to do exactly what I did and go to the ocean! All I said was to go to the place you feel drawn to. Do you understand, you idiots?!"

As soon as he said that, both his son and daughter finally understood what he truly meant. However, his fourth daughter couldn't hide her annoyance and said while rubbing her head:

"You didn't have to hit us for that, Father. You could have explained your point of view without hitting us."

Poseidon replied in a sharp tone, though with less anger this time:

"And you both could have spoken in a better manner, you troublemakers."

The moment he finished speaking, he suddenly turned toward a distant direction, surprise appearing on his face.

He wondered to himself: Was Odin near the ocean? And why?

Poseidon didn't understand what Odin was doing near the ocean or the reason for his presence there, but he didn't dwell on it for long. Suddenly, he felt a terrifying aura enveloping the mountain and everything on it.

His eyes widened in shock. He quickly surrounded himself and his children with the power of the ocean. He was just about to destroy that aura using his immense oceanic power when he suddenly felt another presence—white in color and just as terrifying—coming from the same source as the black energy, completely erasing it before he could act.

When he saw that, and felt both energies disappear from the mountain, he quickly looked at his children and said:

"Stay here, and try to calm the children before panic spreads."

As soon as he said that, he vanished from his place and instantly moved toward the source of the two powers, his voice reaching the location before he did:

"What is going on here, my brothers?"

Both Hades and Athena looked at the furious Poseidon, unsure of what to say at that moment. Tension hung thick in the air, and silence weighed heavily on the place—until Athena broke it quickly, as if afraid the situation might worsen. She spoke in a tense voice:

"My daughter has disappeared, Poseidon… I can't find her anywhere."

The moment Athena said that, the anger vanished from Poseidon's face as if her words had extinguished his flames in an instant. In its place appeared a clear and sincere concern. He stepped forward and said in a reassuring yet cautious tone:

"Don't worry, sister. We will definitely find her. Remember, this is Asgard. It's impossible for anything bad to happen to her as long as she's here."

As soon as Poseidon finished speaking, the worry on Athena's face eased. But inside her mind, other thoughts stirred—thoughts she didn't reveal. She thought to herself with faint sarcasm:

I never realized Poseidon would think more rationally than Hades… hahaha.

In truth, Athena wasn't as worried about her eldest daughter as she appeared before her brothers. She had used her daughter's disappearance as an excuse to lie to Hades, to make him stop repeatedly questioning her about the relationship between Odin's eldest son and her daughter. She never expected Hades to use such a dangerous method to search for her, and that was what truly shocked her.

She didn't stop there—she used the same approach to distract Poseidon as well, hoping to calm his anger. What surprised and shocked her at the same time was his logical way of thinking in this situation, unlike Hades, who had acted purely on instinct.

Yes, Athena was worried about her daughter, but she would never use her power to search for her on a mountain inhabited by young children. She was completely confident that her daughter was safe—after all, she was in Asgard.

At that moment, Hades slapped his face with his palm, muttering angrily:

"What foolishness… why didn't I think of that?"

When Poseidon heard his brother's words, he immediately remembered the real reason he had come here in the first place. He addressed his brother and sister in a firm tone:

"When we find your daughter, sister, both of you will be held accountable for what you did."

Before either of them could respond, a familiar voice echoed from behind them—a voice carrying the weight of authority and majesty:

"And you will be held accountable with them, brother. They must answer for this farce that just occurred."

At those words, Athena and her brothers turned toward the source of the voice to find Odin standing there, having appeared suddenly without any warning.

When Athena saw him, she stepped toward him quickly, and this time the concern in her voice was completely genuine:

"Odin, my eldest daughter has disappeared. Do you know where she is?"

Athena knew well that Odin was the only one capable of communicating with Asgard itself, the only one who could easily find her daughter.

Odin frowned slightly, closed his eyes, and used his spiritual power to sense what was happening.

The moment he did, he felt Asgard itself trying to tell him something. He focused more deeply, sinking into that mysterious sensation until understanding began to form in his mind.

And suddenly…

Odin realized what was truly happening—and where Athena's daughter had disappeared to.
