Chapter 16 - Amaterasu

After receiving the money, Ashan and Nevil stepped out of the building, the weight of their newfound fortune settling in. Ashan eagerly checked his bank account.

"Five million neros! It's a crazy amount. It's like a dream, isn't it, Nevil? Give me your account number. I'll transfer you half."

Nevil smiled, giving Ashan a pat on the shoulder. "I'm not happy to take half. Just give me one million for the admission. That's all I need. You did all the work to collect this money. I did nothing compared to that."

"Hey, don't be like that. You put your life on the line too. You deserve this. No matter what you say, I'm still giving it to you."

"Haa... I can't stop you then. But I'm truly grateful."

After transferring the money, Ashan turned to Nevil, his expression shifting to seriousness. "Hey, I'm planning to take Narasha to the academy too."

"Huh? Who is Narasha?"

"The vampire girl. Who else?"

Nevil's face paled, and beads of sweat formed on his brow. "Are you out of your damn mind? A vampire in the academy? Do you know what will happen if you do that? Humans and vampires are not on good terms."

"Don't worry. She can hide herself well. We just need to create a fake identity for her. I need your help with that."

"Ashan, please think this through. If things go wrong, your whole life could be ruined."

"Nothing will happen. I promise. I'll take responsibility for my actions."

Sighing, Nevil relented. "Alright. I know a good place. But do you have a picture of her?"

"Yes, I have a photo." Ashan pulled out the picture he had taken earlier. Nevil's face flushed red as he examined it.

"Man... I don't know whether you're fortunate or unfortunate, but she is damn hot. I feel a bit envious."

"Hehe... don't be like that. You might find a good girl when you go to the academy."

"Y-You think so?"

"Ahh... M-Maybe?" Ashan replied with a playful smile, earning a playful punch from Nevil.

That night, Ashan took Narasha for a walk through the city. The streets were glowing with soft lights, and the buildings shimmered like stars against the dark sky. They passed armored raiders wandering cheerfully, while normal citizens strolled about, enjoying the vibrant atmosphere.

Both were dressed in good-looking outfits. Narasha wore a red blouse with a long black skirt, her hair neatly tied up. Ashan was dressed in black, giving him a casual yet decent vibe, his long hair neatly combed.

"What a wonderful place," Narasha remarked, her eyes scanning the lively streets.

"Hey, where are we going? You took me out without saying anything."

Ashan grinned. "I'm taking you on a date."

"Date? What do you mean?"

His smile faded, replaced by a neutral expression. "You really don't know anything. Never mind. I'm taking you out for dinner. I know a nice place."

They arrived at a restaurant by the river, where a lively crowd filled the space. After placing their order, they settled at a table with a view of the shimmering water.

"It's peaceful here," Narasha said, gazing at the river's surface, illuminated by the moonlight.

"You're right. This kind of place is perfect for relaxation." Ashan said.

"Is there any special reason for bringing me here?" Narasha questioned.

"Yes, I want to show you this whole city little by little, so you can get used to it."

"Hmm... but your eyes say there's something more." Narasha narrowed her eyes.

Ashan grinned.

To be honest, I was looking forward to going on a date with my girlfriend, and it feels amazing."

Narasha blushed, looking away. "Who said I'm your girlfriend? In your dreams."

"Haha... so cute."

Ashan pulled a card from his pocket and handed it to Narasha. "This is your identification card. With this, you can enter the academy without any problems."

Narasha examined the card, intrigued. "It has my face on it. So this is why you took a picture of me. It looks decent."

"I'm glad you like it."

A female server approached, delivering their meals along with a bottle of wine. Ashan popped the cork and poured two glasses, and they began to enjoy their dinner in peace.

But their tranquility was short-lived. An alarm blared through the city, sending waves of panic through the restaurant. Everyone received a message simultaneously.

"It's a dungeon break! The message says it happened nearby."

Just as they finished their meals, Ashan's eyes sparkled with excitement as he read the message. "An A-rank dungeon? Near Paradise Park? That's only two miles away!"

He glanced at Narasha, who remained unfazed, sipping her wine. "I'm planning to go see what's happening. Will you come with me?"

"Why bother? Your people will take care of it."

Ashan shook his head. "No, I can't pass up a perfect opportunity like this. I might get a chance to test my new skills."

"New skills? That's convincing."

Wiping his mouth, Ashan stood up. After ensuring they weren't being watched, he and Narasha dashed toward the dungeon's location.

[Multi Shadow Clone Jutsu]

Hundreds of Ashan's clones sprang into existence, dispersing in different directions toward the dungeon.

"Clones? Why are you using clones?"

"A dungeon break isn't a simple matter. Once monsters escape, they'll wreak havoc on everything around them. We need to stop them before they cause any harm. My clones can handle that job."

"Are your clones strong enough?"

"Of course! They can use most of the abilities or skills I possess. Their bodies might be weak, but they're still better than nothing."

They leaped onto a rooftop, gaining a clear view of the dungeon gate. A massive portal loomed, and muscular trolls clashed with raiders trying to fend them off. The trolls, with their high regeneration and strength, had the upper hand, pushing the raiders back, who were mostly low-rank fighters.

"This fight isn't favorable for the raiders. All the trolls are B-rank, while the raiders are C-rank and below. Reinforcements need to arrive quickly, or they might all die."

Narasha scrutinized the scene. "Indeed. Those humans are no match for those muscle heads. If you want to help them, you'll have to reveal yourself."

Ashan smirked, reaching into his coat. He closed his eyes, then opened them again, revealing his sharingan, which shifted into the Mangekyou Sharingan.

Narasha's fists clenched tightly.

'Those eyes? They look like they came straight from hell. My instincts are screaming at me. Is this why I felt chills back at the dungeon?'

Ashan noticed her gaze and looked away. "Don't stare at them for too long. You might lose your mind."

Narasha's expression turned serious. "Is it because of those eyes that I felt that chill?"

Ashan nodded. "Yes, I awakened them back then. That's why my eyes bled."

"Awakened? What kind of eyes are they? They seem mysterious."

Taking a deep breath, Ashan explained, "The eyes I awakened are called Sharingan. I'm the first person to awaken them in this world. These eyes are powerful enough to instill fear across the realm."

"How did you awaken them? As you said, I feel death radiating from them."

Ashan smiled, a hint of pride in his voice. "You're sharp. Yes, they have that effect.

He exhaled slowly. "Now, witness the power of the Sharingan."

He aimed at a massive troll attempting to breach the city. The air around him fell silent, and a blood tear trickled from his right eye.

"Amaterasu!"
