Chapter 20 - Chapter 20 Planting a Wolverine

Chapter 20 Planting a Wolverine

What day is it today?

First Mystique, and now Wolverine?

But why is Wolverine hunting Mystique?

A question mark flashed in Lynn's mind as he looked at the charging Wolverine, his gaze sweeping over Wolverine's claws.

Adamantium claws, he didn't want to be touched by those things.

However, with Wolverine's speed, it should be very difficult for him to be touched.

A smile appeared on Lynn's face.

"Be careful, he's very strong!"

Although Raven was shocked by the abilities Lynn suddenly displayed, she still quickly reminded Lynn.

Lynn smiled slightly. As Wolverine lunged at them, he had already vanished from his spot.

The next instant, accompanied by a muffled groan of pain, Wolverine was sent flying back into the clinic.

Lynn looked at his torn pant leg, his expression a little surprised.

Wolverine's speed was clearly much slower than his, but when he kicked Wolverine away, Wolverine had already swung his claws, as if he had sensed his attack in advance.

That's what tore his pants.

Beast's intuition?

Although Wolverine didn't display this ability much of the time, he did have this ability, similar to a Spider-Sense, it just wasn't as overpowered as Spider-Sense.

He needed to be careful not to mess up.

A thought flashed through Lynn's mind. He looked at Wolverine, who had already stood up, raised a hand to brush back his rain-soaked hair, and slowly walked into the clinic.

Wolverine was hunched over, his claws extended at his sides, like a Beast on the hunt.

"Come!"

Lynn beckoned to Wolverine. Although he showed no expression, it was precisely because of this that he conveyed a strong sense of mockery and provocation.

"Ah ah ah!"

Wolverine roared like a Beast, stomped hard on the ground, and charged at Lynn again.

The sharp Adamantium claws cut through the darkness, sweeping towards Lynn's neck.

Just as the sharp blades were about to touch Lynn's skin, Lynn's body vanished from his spot, leaving the sharp claws to cut through empty air.

The next instant, Lynn appeared beside Wolverine. Before Wolverine could react, his hand was on Wolverine's head, pressing his opponent's head down with irresistible force, smashing it fiercely into the ground.

Bang!

Cracks appeared on the ground, and Wolverine's head became a bloody mess.

Wolverine's mind went blank, but his powerful physical instincts drove him to swing his claws in a circle around his body.

Lynn retreated a step, calmly putting distance between himself and his opponent.

His speed was too fast, not at all on the same level as Wolverine's, and this gave him a complete advantage when facing enemies slower than him.

However, Lynn remained vigilant when facing Wolverine.

After all, Wolverine could make countless mistakes.

The next instant, Wolverine pushed off the ground, pouncing fiercely at Lynn.

Lynn's body flashed, disappearing from Wolverine's sight again. Before he could land, Lynn appeared behind him and grabbed Wolverine's leg.

"Heh."

Lynn chuckled softly, then swung Wolverine, smashing him towards the ground on the other side.

Wolverine's reaction was extremely fast. Almost the instant Lynn grabbed his leg, he had already reacted accordingly.

His sharp claws stabbed towards the ceiling, trying to slow his descent to the ground and create an opportunity for a counterattack.

But he underestimated Lynn's strength.

The sharp claws left several cracks on the ceiling, but he was still smashed into the ground with almost no delay.

But when Lynn saw the damaged ceiling, his mouth twitched.

He couldn't fight here; his clinic had just been renovated.

A thought flashed through his mind. As Wolverine's body was about to hit the ground, he brought Wolverine back into the Inner World.

Bang!

A loud thud.

Wolverine crashed onto the soft grass.

He was stunned.

Wasn't it night just now?

How did it become day?

But Lynn wouldn't give him a chance to think.

Lynn, as if swinging a hammer, kept smashing Wolverine into the ground.

Wolverine roared, his voice growing weaker and weaker until he completely passed out.

Lynn casually threw Wolverine aside, looked at the deep pit smashed into the ground, and with a thought, the ground returned to its original state.

He looked at the unconscious Wolverine, a thoughtful look in his eyes.

When he brought Wolverine into the Inner World, he clearly felt a sense of resistance.

Forcibly bringing a living creature into the Inner World, would it consume more energy and even result in failure depending on the opponent's strength?

"I need to pay attention to that point."

Lynn mused.

Ultimately, the Inner World was still too weak.

"Hmm?"

He noticed Wolverine's body twitch, showing signs of waking up.

"This recovery speed is truly abnormal."

Lynn sighed, looking at Wolverine.

He was identical to Old Man Logan in the storyline, but from his performance just now, his state was clearly a bit off.

"It's like he's being controlled by someone."

Lynn murmured, then picked Wolverine up again, and like planting rice, he inserted half of his body into the grass.

This should keep him from waking up for a while, right?

Lynn brought Wolverine's separated legs together, and clapped his hands in satisfaction.

He glanced at the Lake of Faith not far away.

The lake formed by the Power of Faith was almost full, but the Power of Faith was still continuously pouring in.

However, compared to two days ago, the speed at which the Power of Faith poured in had slowed down several times.

"This means the faith converted from the 'Nuclear Bomb Incident' is almost fully absorbed."

Lynn muttered, looking at the current Inner World, and gently waved his hand.

The next instant, the Water in the Lake of Faith dropped a bit, and the space of the Inner World expanded outwards by five meters, reaching a diameter of one hundred and sixty meters.

As the Inner World expanded, its blessing to him increased a bit, but... it was far less than he imagined.

It only increased by about one percent in strength?

Lynn frowned, giving up on the idea of continuing to expand.

The Power of Faith had many uses, and he couldn't use all of it to expand the Inner World.

Lynn sighed, looked at Wolverine, took a step, and left the Inner World.

The next instant, Lynn appeared inside the clinic.

"Ah!"

The suddenly appearing Lynn, standing where Lynn had vanished, startled Raven.

And when she saw Lynn clearly, she couldn't help but let out a long breath and asked worriedly, "Are you alright? Where's that Beast?"

"I'm fine. I put him in a place where he can't come back for now."

Lynn said calmly, looking at the damaged ceiling and floor with a pained expression.

He had planned to open tomorrow, but now it would have to be delayed by another day.

"Are you a Mutant too?"

Raven looked at Lynn cautiously but expectantly.

Lynn looked at Raven, his eyes flickering.

Whether he could gain his first believer depended on how he answered.

So, Lynn mused, then said with a slight smile, "Who I am isn't important."

"What's important is who you want to be? What kind of future do you want to have?"
