The morning sun rose over the jagged mountains of the Monster Realm. Arin and his friends woke, slowly undeploying the protective barrier that had shielded them during the previous day's battles.
Arin stepped out alone, determination written on his face. He hadn't trained since entering the Monster Realm, and now, with the looming threats ahead, he needed to sharpen every skill.
He found a quiet clearing and began his routine: meditation to calm his mind, mana control exercises to speed up spellcasting, and finally, warm-up combat against low-level monsters that roamed the area. Hours passed like minutes as he honed his reflexes and refined his elemental control.
After two grueling hours, Arin returned to his friends, sweat dripping and hair tousled, but a renewed fire in his eyes. They ate quickly, their meals barely breaking the focus they had on the road ahead.
Their journey resumed. Vampires swarmed from the shadows, their red eyes gleaming with malice. Arin and his friends dispatched them with efficiency, yet more formidable enemies awaited: Wraths, their immense power and relentless attacks challenging every ounce of strategy the party possessed. They struggled, coordinating attacks and defenses with precision, ultimately overcoming the Wraths through teamwork and clever tactics.
Meanwhile, far away, a faint whisper filled the air. The Death God's voice reached Arin in the depths of his mind:
"You are so much like me… but you have also chosen the wrong path."
Before Arin could ponder the words, a figure emerged from the shadows of the mountains. A noble vampire, his presence commanding and terrifying, stepped forward with a malicious grin.
"I am Shetako Hyuujin," he announced, his voice dripping with superiority. "You have come far… but now, I will deal with you lowly humans. That will be a tale to brag about in the afterlife."
Arin lunged, intent on striking the vampire immediately. Yet Shetako halted him effortlessly with a single finger.
"You certainly lack manners," Shetako said calmly, pushing Arin back. "You should allow someone superior to finish speaking."
The tension in the air thickened, the landscape itself seeming to react to the clash of wills. Just as Shetako's smirk widened, another figure appeared: a human warrior, the embodiment of strength and skill — Byukoten, one of humanity's most formidable fighters.
Shetako's eyes sparkled with challenge. "Now this is a fighter. Let us duel, warrior. I will deal with the rest after our fight."
Byukoten didn't hesitate. He charged at Shetako, fists blazing with lethal precision. Shetako, however, ducked and dodged effortlessly, a cruel smile spreading across his face. The first exchange had begun, and the Monster Realm trembled with the power of titans colliding.
