Chapter 15 - War Whispers.

"You fool. I can't believe you're this ignorant." Justice eyes burn with rage.

"Justice, stop. We're—"

"Shut up, Jude…

Moon Black, you're part of the reason we had to face these difficult consequences. That woman wiped the floor with us. We're 100 years beyond her level."

Moon Black's head faces down. Like she's processing the weight of her action. "But I thought I could take her–"

"Shut up... You're impulsive, ignorant, you think everything could be dealt with fire? Girl... You're wrong."

Her head snaps back up. "Justice, I thought you're at my side," she says, her eyes blazing with a fierce, almost electric intensity.

"I was. But Not anymore."

"Elina intervenes, "Alright, let's focus on getting out of here," she says, pulling Justice away from Moon Black.

"No we camp here for the night," Jude says.

"What!, who knows what might happen by morning. It's risky," Elina warns.

"We leave early. These guys on the ground need to wake up," Jude replies.

Moon Black slumps against the wall. Her legs buckle and crash to the ground, spent.

Uddin reaches a tall tree. Drops Daisy to the ground slowly and sits beside her. "I'm beat..." She drawls. "Hope that woman won't trace us."

"Uddin," Daisy calls.

"Hey, worry not you're safe," Uddin replies.

"Daisy's eyes cloud, her voice barely above a whisper, "You shouldn't have saved me..."

"Uddin leans in, eyes narrowing like a hawk's. "Wait. Now let's get to the point. Why's that woman so bent on catching you? Know her?"

"She's my... She's the person I came looking for, after I left home."

"Huh!, are you related?"

"No. But she's more like a family friend. Been with me ever since I was little."

"So what side are you on now?"

"My father is their boss. Thought he died," Daisy's eyes boils in rage. "He owes me an explanation."

"What are you asking him?"

"He's done all manner of evil. He must have a valid reason for that."

"Daisy... Don't be reckless. If your father is truly the leader of those goons... His humanity is already far gone. He's likely not the father you knew anymore."

"Then I die with the sneaky birds," Daisy seethes, fire snapping in her eyes. "I'll make sure he falls."

"I see determination... Father daughter battle. Come to talk about it. Satan's Soul, really did a number on you."

"I'm beat... She's far above our league," Daisy's eyes closing.

"You have a zero chance of defeating your dad, his subordinates are this strong..." Uddin chuckles "We stand no chance."

The sneaky birds have already vanished, abandoning the warehouse to the hush of morning. Before the sun could even think about rising, they slipped away, melting into the jungle, trekking homeward together.

‎"Thank you. You saved me from that woman's assault," Justice appreciates Helma.

‎"Worry not. Glad we survived," Helma replies.

‎Jullian brow furrows. "Why can't we find Uddin?" She asks.

‎"Let's hope they made it home," Momo replies.

‎"That woman, she's good with the shadow movement. A Mercenary, doing the assassin's shadow movement. Explains why she's able to vanish and materialise at will. What a beast level warrior," Scarface says.

‎"She literally toyed with us. The woman never fought seriously," Justice calculates. He raises an eye towards Elina. "Perhaps someone knew her.."

‎Moon Black swivels towards Elina's location. "Hey, newbie.. care to tell who you are?"

‎"She's Migo's ex," Jude replies.

‎Moon Black's eyes widen. "Seems Migo got eyes for beauty," she smiles. "Thanks, you saved us back there."

‎"Moon Black! Never seen you thank someone before. What happened? Did that woman beat humility into your head?" Machi Kuli says.

‎"Nah... Cut it. I'm just being grateful. That's all," Moon Black draws closer. Her hand on Elina's shoulder. "Why'd you break up with Migo? What happened?"

‎"No, no. We shouldn't talk about this right now," Migo interrupts.

‎Elina smile. "Migo is incompetent. He doesn't really act like a man. He cant–

‎Migo's hand covers Elina's mouth, seems like he's trying to stop her from talking. "Hey stop it," he says.

‎Elina removes his hand. Quickly whisper in Moon Black's ear. In the same breath, she and moon Black start to laugh. Mouths wide, their teeth flash like a twin in the sunrise.

‎"what's weird is Moon Black, calling Elina 'cute," Jullian simpers. Her eyebrows flickering. "Did that gigantic woman we fought earlier scrambled your brain, huh?'

‎Moon Black's eyes snap shut. A sprint of happiness spreads across her face. "No I'm serious, she's cute." She turns her gaze at Elina. Her eyebrows shift curiously. "Spill it. What's your connection to that woman. Satan, or whatever name she goes by?"

‎"Tanya. That's her name," Elina drops a faint smile. "That's my older sister."

‎Surprise jolts through them. In unison a sudden response they all leave.

‎"What!!"

----------------------------------------------------

Nathan leans in Jagers ear. Whispering.

"Right. Bring her in," Jager smiles.

Satan's Soul enters the room. Nathan collects the Chuppah. Jager grins, eyes shining excitement. "So the Chuppah is finally mine... Can't believe my eyes..."

Nathan drops the Chuppah in a box opposite Jagers direction.

"Wait. Where's Antar?" He asks.

"Boss, your daughter Daisy has been spotted," Satan replies.

Jager stands. Draw closer to Satan. Desperate. "Where!"

"She accompanies a rival crew, that came by the castle to steal the Chuppah. Antar spotted, chased her. A crew mate took her, they fled."

Jager shouts. "How dare you leave them to escape?. You should have followed them."

"But boss. You gave me a direct order. "Retrieve the Chuppah and leave. Antar already chased them. She'll catch."

Jager leans back, a lazy smile curling his lips as he murmurs, "Good… I'm counting on her. Hope she gets Daisy." His hand drifts to his jaw, fingers tightening like a vice as he sinks into thought, "Hmm… Daisy joining a gang—refusing to walk with Antar… now that's fascinating."

A man bursts into the room, sprinting toward Jager with panic etched across his face. "Boss!" he gasps, breath ragged. "Two Blue Whales members are outside—they're demanding an audience with you."

"Let them in," Jager orders.

Two members of the Blue whales enter. A man and a woman, standing before Jager.

"Greetings, your able boss. We members–

"Ahh, go straight to the point," Jager interrupts.

"Right," the man brings out a scroll, rolls it down and reads. "Based on the orders given by our noble boss Eagle. The blue whales hereby declare war with the Red Scorpion, due to the recent incident in Vanilla street. Involving the murder of a Blue Whale's captain and his crew. So–

"Hold on, hold on," Jager cuts in, eyes flashing like steel. "Let me make one thing crystal clear: your head could already be sitting in my present box, so don't even think about crossing me. What makes you think we had anything to do with it?"

"Report shows that a lady using needles as a weapon is the killer. Furthermore, the lady is confirmed to be a member of the Red Scorpions."

Jager's eyes flash fire. He squeezes his arm tight. "Jessie... Going out there to cause me trouble!"

"Our noble leader stated in the final lines; in 7 walking days the battle commences. If You'll excuse us, we take our leave," the two figures leave the room.

"Salion!" Jager calls.

"Boss."

"I'm handing this mission to you. Go capture Jessie, bring her to me. Dead or alive."

"Sir."

Antar arrives. Bandage covers her shoulder.

"Good, Antar. Where's Daisy?" Jager asks.

Antar swallows. "I was shot. Went to find a medic. All our men were killed. I lost her sir."

"You…"Jager's fingers dig into his forehead, a scowling grimace etched across his face. "Go back. From now on, it's your duty," a low, dangerous pause. _"Retrieve Daisy."

"Roger."

"Satan's Soul!" Jager calls.

"Sir."

"Accompany Antar. This time. You guys get Daisy no matter what."

Both speak in unison. "Roger."

"I need Silas no more. With the Chuppah, I won the greatest item. Now it's time to address this Blue Whale's issue. It's better I go see Sonny and make a negotiation, better I avoid war for now. It would probably take me hours to get there maybe 5 or 6 hours. Jager calculates.

"Nathan!"

"Sir"

"Prepare my ride."

In the cramped camp shelter, Prince Chille stands flanked by four loyal guards, five more patrols outside. "Jorra!" he calls.

‎"My Prince," Jorra answers.

‎"Any words from Daniel?"

‎"No. Not at all."

‎"Hmm... I hope he won't be present at Jager's tonight. Can't afford to lose him."

‎"If you want me to go find him I will," Jorra says.

‎"Worry not, he'll come by. He knows the plan. Hope the device is set properly?"

‎"Yes my prince, it is. The timer is set to explode within 24hours," Jorra replies.

‎Prince Chille curls his lips in mockery. Tonight Jager dies... he'll definitely pay for spilling the blood of my men."
