Too naive.
Both Orihime and the seemingly cautious Chad.
In terms of manipulating others, Da Shi and La Sai were already seasoned partners. How could they fear doubts from someone like Chad?
"Sado-kun, you doubt us, right?"
Da Shi's expression became agitated. "Fine, then I'll show you proof!"
Gripping his collar with both hands, Da Shi suddenly exerted force!
Rip!
His thin shirt tore open, revealing a densely packed array of scars on his chest!
Pointing at the scars on his body, Da Shi said:
"This one, from when I first became a Fullbringer, fighting a Hollow to protect my family."
"This one, from when I first met a comrade, covering his escape."
"This one, from a month ago, fighting a Hollow alongside Lu Ming!"
"And look at this one!"
Saying this, Da Shi turned around.
His back had not a single scar, proving he always faced his enemies head-on.
"See? Facing powerful Hollows, I never retreated. I've been fighting them all along!"
"If even we are doubted, then forget it!"
Da Shi stood up decisively, saying agitatedly:
"I know, Orihime-san and Sado-kun are rare, powerful Fullbringers. You can live well on your own."
"So be it. People are selfish. We can understand Orihime-san and Sado-kun's choice."
"Then, let us pitiful folks with weak abilities die alone in dark corners!"
"Don't worry. Even if a Hollow guts me, digs out my heart and liver, I won't resent Sado-kun or Orihime-san!"
Having said this, Da Shi turned to leave as if heartbroken.
If one played the 'white face' (hardliner), naturally the other had to play the 'red face' (moderate).
La Sai grabbed Da Shi: "Da Shi, are we really giving up just like that?"
"Persist a bit more. Explain clearly to Orihime-san and Sado-kun. They will definitely help us!!"
"In the Mutual Aid Society, Xiao Ming is only ten this year, Ta Chi is twelve. Even if not for ourselves, think of them!" La Sai pleaded bitterly.
"Sigh!" Letting out a long sigh, Da Shi stopped but ultimately didn't turn back.
After such a performance,
Not to mention Orihime, even Chad couldn't hold out.
Fortunately, there was one more person in the trio.
Uryu walked over: "I don't understand. Shinigami have stationed personnel in every city. Why do you insist on fighting Hollows yourselves?"
"If the Shinigami in your city aren't doing their job seriously, you can tell us. We have channels to get you a more diligent Shinigami!"
Hearing this, Da Shi and La Sai shuddered.
"It can be like that!?"
"You actually have connections with Shinigami!?"
The two exclaimed.
This time, it was genuine surprise, not acting.
Although they gained abilities in the Living World, they were also outside the main Bleach storyline.
Their understanding of the world's composition and Shinigami structure was at the 'know nothing' stage.
They only knew there was a mysterious organization that stationed Shinigami in every city.
But these people before them could actually contact Shinigami?
'Oh no!'
Both their hearts jolted simultaneously.
Meanwhile, Uryu continued: "Yes, we can contact Shinigami. We even have comrades who are Shinigami."
Uryu looked at the two with scrutiny. "So, should we contact them for you?"
Exchanging an awkward glance, the two shook their heads: "Uh, that won't be necessary!"
If contacted, wouldn't they be exposed?
Because the Shinigami in their city had long been controlled by their audacious selves!
Otherwise, if Hollows were all dealt with by Shinigami, where would they get combat points and enemy-kill points?
Neither expected to slip up here.
But the two, long-time liars, reacted quickly.
Under Uryu's puzzled gaze, La Sai said: "We believe relying on oneself is better than relying on others."
"Shinigami are ultimately sent by others. They're replaced every so often, and the skill level of each new arrival varies."
"What if one time a trash Shinigami comes? Then we're done for, right?"
"Therefore, we think having our own strength is best!!"
"Exactly, exactly!" Da Shi agreed. "Relying on oneself is better than relying on others. Having strength in your own hands is what's real!"
Their reasoning was, at least logically, flawless.
Seeing this, though still somewhat doubtful, Uryu decided not to interfere further.
To be fair, as the last Quincy, if he knew other Quincies existed, he'd probably be very excited to contact them too.
Uryu Ishida asked: "Inoue, Sado, you're the Fullbringers. What are your thoughts?"
Now, Orihime passed, Chad passed, Uryu passed… three hurdles cleared. La Sai and Da Shi had completely persuaded them.
Chad and Orihime looked at each other. Finally, Orihime stepped forward and asked:
"May I ask, what would we need to do after joining the Mutual Aid Society?"
Hearing Orihime's words, La Sai was overjoyed:
"Nothing, nothing! Orihime-san just providing healing services would make us endlessly grateful. We wouldn't ask more of you!"
"We would help you!!"
"And the Mutual Aid Society, as the name implies, is an organization for mutual aid. Orihime-san helps us, and next time Orihime-san needs help, we can help you!"
"Moreover, the Mutual Aid Society holds regular gatherings to discuss improving strength. It's all benefit, no harm!"
Under La Sai's description, the so-called Fullbringer Mutual Aid Society was utterly perfect.
Hearing this, Orihime was completely won over.
'Ichigo was always doing dangerous things. If I could mobilize this force, surely I could help him when he encountered problems in the future!'
"So, is a verbal agreement enough to join?" Orihime asked, puzzled.
"Of course not!" Da Shi activated his Reiryoku, quickly producing an invitation letter before everyone.
