Sargon, the land of yellow sands, the land of Rainforests.
As a nation in the southwestern part of the Terra continent, a small portion of Sargon's territory is covered by dense tropical Rainforests, and separated by a mountain range, lies a vast expanse of dry and desolate desert and Gobi.
This unique natural environment is somewhat related to climate, but not entirely controlled by it.
Apart from the small tribal societies of Fidia and Adaklis people in the Rainforests, most of Sargon's territory belongs to a unified feudal Dynasty—the Sargon Royal Court.
This ancient and mysterious Dynasty has been hidden deep within the yellow sands for generations, transmitting its decrees to its governors, the "Pashas," which then ultimately affect the grassroots lords, or Wangqius (King Chiefs).
Roughly speaking, this ancient nation still uses the equally ancient system of enfeoffment; Wangqius, besides their obligations to pay taxes and offer tributes, possess almost complete freedom, more akin to "kings" than "chiefs."
It is precisely because of the Royal Court's tacit approval, and even indulgence, that wars among Wangqius have been incessant from ancient times to the present, and external forces have also taken advantage of the weakness.
Columbia, a young nation that separated from Victoria and successfully established itself, was severely lacking in resources and money at its inception.
Thus, relying on their advanced technology and various cutting-edge weapons that the Sargon people had never imagined, they garnered the attention of the Pashas and Wangqius.
Columbia provided arms and technology, as well as rare items that could be offered as tribute to the Sargon Royal Court.
In return, the Wangqius and Pashas, for their own power and standing in the Royal Court's eyes, transported countless local Sargon resources out of the country.
Originium, minerals, medicinal herbs, exotic beasts, and even people... To this day, Sargon and Columbia have become inseparable, and Sargon is gradually becoming more advanced and secularized.
To outsiders, Sargon has already become Columbia's backyard.
The Wangqius and Pashas have become compradores and Puppets for Columbian companies, bearing witness to the Sargon Royal Court's corruption and decadence.
However, those who truly understand Sargon know that this ancient Dynasty has never cared about these superficial disputes, just as a pack animal does not care about one or two mosquitoes on its back.
No matter how hard the Columbians tried, their reach never penetrated an inch into the Sargon Royal Court; the ancient Dynasty still watched over the southern wall, guarding the oldest secrets—those belonging to kings, those belonging to gods.
But, no matter what the truth was, the people of this country... were not doing well.
And tonight, this ancient and fractured nation welcomed another group of new guests.
"We'll be there soon."
Kal'tsit held the steering wheel, looking at the increasingly close snake-head camp among several tall Gobi rock pillars not far away, her expression still calm.
Even though she knew that the snake-head Alfonso, who was outwardly kind but inwardly malicious, had betrayed her, Kal'tsit was not angered by this betrayal.
Kal'tsit had been betrayed too many times, so many that she couldn't count; many whom she had placed great hopes in ultimately lost their true selves in the vortex of power and strength.
Now, Kal'tsit rarely trusted strangers and had no friends.
If there was one friend still alive, it was probably that Sarkaz still in Kazdel.
"The area ahead is the most suitable for an ambush. If you don't want to get involved in trouble, you can jump out of the car now. I will slow down, and no one will notice."
For the last time, Kal'tsit turned her head and looked at the man beside her.
"Mr. Goki, what is your decision?"
Kal'tsit had never seen through this man, who always wore a smile when looking at her and Skadi.
Whether it was his peculiar blood, his knowledge and behavior different from Terra's people, his unique weapons and equipment, or his hunting methods that Kal'tsit had never seen before, all rendered Kal'tsit's extensive experience useless.
It took Kal'tsit considerable effort just to restrain her curiosity about Goki.
Moreover, the strangest thing was... facing Kal'tsit, Goki showed neither vigilance nor hostility, and he even believed everything she said without hesitation.
Kal'tsit instinctively felt that this man's smile towards her was without any pretense, completely sincere from the heart.
It was as if an old friend she had reunited with after a long separation.
Kal'tsit had many memories, and they were exceptionally clear, but she was certain that she had never known such a person.
And then, this hunter, who was reassembling the blades into his telescopic staff, turned his head and looked at Kal'tsit.
"Don't say that anymore, Doctor Kal'tsit. It is my honor to fight for someone as beautiful, excellent, wise, and great as you—hey, hey, hey, why are you poking me?"
If one were to list Kal'tsit's virtues, Goki, the former Doctor, had plenty to say.
However, before he could finish speaking, Goki's proper smile was punctured by a finger from the back seat.
Skadi was gently tapping Goki's shoulder with her hand, her expression identical to Kal'tsit's, completely unruffled.
"I just want to remind you to prepare for battle—Abyssal Hunters don't like owing favors either. You helped us, this is our repayment. Kal'tsit, can you ensure the safety of the instrument by yourself?"
After poking Goki's shoulder for a while, Skadi looked at Kal'tsit, red eyes meeting green, their gazes crossing in the air—nothing happened.
"Actually, Mr. Goki is fine, but your presence, Skadi, is the greatest danger to my instrument—if you want to adapt to life on Terra, then you'd better control your weight a bit."
Driving with one hand, Kal'tsit's eyes glanced at Skadi's black hunter's uniform, where her full bosom, which could not be completely concealed and almost seemed to burst out, was visible, a hint of sarcasm in her tone.
"In the past few days, due to the bumps from your weight, my car has already broken a tire, two beakers have fallen, and a bed board has cracked. If the instrument's shock resistance wasn't good, it might have been damaged—if you want to help, please stay a little further away."
The body weight density of an Abyssal Hunter is indeed extraordinary.
"Hmm—"
As soon as she finished speaking, Skadi's cheeks began to puff up. Seeing this, Goki immediately began to soothe the Little Orca who was about to erupt.
"Don't be angry, don't be angry, Doctor Kal'tsit is just teasing you. We are not heavy at all. See, haven't you been waking up on top of me every day these past few days? I'm still perfectly fine, right."
Unable to resist scratching his head, Goki also wore an embarrassed smile.
This wasn't an Orca; this was a pufferfish in its entirety.
"Hmph."
After a good while of soothing, the Little Orca finally calmed down.
Kal'tsit narrowed her eyes, looking at Goki and his hand that couldn't help but scratch the back of his head when he lied.
These past few days, this fellow woke up half-crippled every day, his body so severely fractured that even Kal'tsit, an old doctor, couldn't help but frown at the sight.
"In any case, thank you both. I think they are about to make their move. Please avoid involving others; they should not become victims of greedy people."
Kal'tsit looked straight ahead and saw several cars that had inadvertently changed positions while driving.
And the jeep that had driven ahead suddenly opened its rear hatch, dropping countless metal-constructed caltrops.
At the same time, five gleaming crossbow bolts were aimed directly at Goki in the passenger seat.
"It's starting."
Kal'tsit sharply turned the steering wheel, making the truck swerve into an adjacent car, while simultaneously kicking open the passenger door with her clean, slender leg.
"Mon3tr!"
And behind her, a zipper on her green mini-dress was suddenly ripped open.
Like an Alien disemboweling a human, a black crystalline giant beast, accompanied by a roar, emerged from Kal'tsit's back.
"How stubborn, hunters—then let me see your hunt."
Meanwhile, Goki and Skadi, without a word, also kicked open their respective car doors.
The two hunters hadn't had a chance to thoroughly stretch their muscles and bones in a long time.

"Aim carefully and don't kill the target—our boss's mission is simple, there are only three people on the other side. Oh, and the hat must be left for the boss!"
Standing in the bed of a speeding jeep, a Liberi mercenary squad leader was behind an old metal ballista, loading a thick crossbow bolt into the mechanism, trying to aim at the tires of the truck ahead amidst the bumpy vehicle.
He felt that as soon as he fired, he could instantly skewer that rather attractive Feline woman, but unfortunately, the boss had given a strict order: kill anyone else, but absolutely do not touch that woman.
"Really, only three enemies, is it necessary to deploy dozens of people? Besides our mercenary group, there are those Sarkaz from Bloodblade and those war fanatics from Bonehammer... sigh, after it's done, the money split will definitely be less."
Yawning, the Liberi mercenary felt this mission was a sure thing.
"Wait, Captain, you said there are only three people on the other side, are you sure those are people—Waaahhh!!!"
However, before the mercenary could finish his yawn, he heard the shouts of another mercenary nearby.
"What—"
Before he finished speaking, the Liberi mercenary saw a slender figure standing on the truck's roof, suddenly throwing another person into the night sky where the blue moon hung high.
And the direction was... this way!
Bang—
The next second, accompanied by the sound of bones shattering, a tall black figure slammed straight down in front of the mercenaries.
"Hello, everyone, what a warm welcome, it reminds me of those guys in the Hunter Factory who drive machine guns in wheelchairs—but your firepower is much weaker."
His staff hit the ground, directly piercing a mercenary's instep, and Goki injected a blood vial into his thigh.
"I don't know how you all are feeling, but from now on, you will definitely feel terrible."
Bowing to the mercenaries in front of him, Goki flicked open his freshly repaired telescopic staff and began tonight's hunt.
