Fire Paper: A rough paper that, when rubbed, can imbue a weapon with fire.
Since the tragedy of Old Yharnam, fire has become a symbol of monster hunting operations.
People believe fire can purify the unclean, and certain types of monsters are particularly afraid of fire.
With his Saw Cleaver burning, Goki leaped, plummeting like a fiery meteor from the cliff amidst the torrential rain.
"Sigh, in this heavy rain, I can only use Fire Paper. It would be great if I could use Lightning Paper."
Fire Paper is a method Yharnam Hunters use to enhance their weapons, effectively increasing their lethality.
Although in such terrible rainy weather, using fire against soaking wet monsters is clearly not as effective, this was Goki's only option.
He was still in the "novice stage," and such enchanted items were not yet available for exchange.
As for how to unlock them, Goki felt that he would probably need to hunt down Boss-level monsters to do so.
But for now, Goki could only rely on his arcane knowledge to craft these enchanted weapons himself.
With limited Materials—fuel, his own blood, and a small Hunter's trick—he created the Yharnam Fire Blade, which would not extinguish even in wind and rain.
Whoosh—bang!
With a heavy impact, gravity pulled the Old Hunter down from the air, slamming him onto the broad head of the giant Seaborn, which was staggering and moving, its head as wide as four bus roofs joined together.
Crack—
Goki was not a pilot in an exoskeleton. The moment his feet struck the rugged, bone-spiked, metal-sharded, and hard-scaled back of the Seaborn, a jarring crunching sound immediately echoed.
"Hey."
However, a Hunter is not a demon hunter who can be killed by a single fall. As long as he doesn't fall to his death immediately, it's not a big problem.
A syringe filled with blood was injected into his leg. Goki performed a forward roll, dissipating the remaining force, while simultaneously grabbing his burning Saw Cleaver and using its sharp teeth to hook onto the giant Seaborn's rugged shell.
With a loud scraping sound, a shallow mark was carved into the Seaborn's hard scales, and Goki finally came to a stop.
"Ha… good thing my Strength and Stamina are up, otherwise I would've died for nothing."
Taking a deep breath, Goki flipped to his feet.
Current blood echoes: 1326
Rank: 12
Vitality: 10
Stamina: 9+2 = 11
Strength: 10+2 = 12
Skill: 11
Bloodtinge: 10
Arcane: 9
Just now, Goki had spent all the blood echoes he had accumulated—money, after all, is meant to be spent.
Four attribute points: two to enhance his physical endurance, two to enhance his overall physical Strength, plus the three points from previously upgrading Bloodtinge, and one point in Skill from a week ago, allowed Goki to complete that complex maneuver.
As the points increased, the blood echoes consumed for each upgrade would also increase, so Goki would have to farm blood echoes more diligently in the future.
Clenching his fists, Goki quickly adapted to the sudden change in his physical abilities. After all, he had already reached this point before.
Coupled with his terrible "starting origin," by now, facing a Boss, his physical capabilities had only barely surpassed what they were when he first arrived in Yharnam.
"I feel… I need to be even stronger."
Feeling the noticeable increase in his stamina and the slight surge in his muscle Strength, Goki raised an eyebrow, somewhat satisfied.
When Goki slew the Moon Presence and escaped the dream, his Rank was 544 (maxed out), with all attributes at 99. He was truly the king of grinders.
After 50 points, the effects of attribute enhancement began to diminish, clearly reaching the peak of a Mortal.
Goki remembered clearly the improvement to his physical abilities from every single point of enhancement.
But after arriving in Terra, every time he strengthened himself, Goki felt that the extent of his reinforcement—was greater?
If, in the past, one point of Strength could only increase Goki's brute force by ten percent, then in Terra, this increase was closer to twenty, or even thirty percent?
Although still some distance from Skadi, Goki felt that he wouldn't need to put 50 points into Strength to try arm-wrestling her.
"How strange, never mind, it's all for the best."
"Look at these blood echoes, they're enough to make a person cry with envy—"
Feeling the abundant power within him, Goki grinned, looking at the Terrorfish with a faint reddish hue emerging from the rugged scales on the back of the giant Seaborn. He brandished his Saw Cleaver and pistol, beginning the Hunter's hunt.
"Since it's a surprise attack, a red-enhanced version, it wouldn't make sense if the blood echoes didn't double!"

Bang—
Another Gun Counter. An ordinary sea anemone Terrorfish instantly stiffened on the ground, then was violently cleaved in half by the flaming Saw Cleaver, instantly incinerated into a pile of ashes.
With the increase in Bloodtinge, Goki's blood became even more potent. Mercury bullets filled with blood could even kill the weakest small monster with a single shot—the improvement was truly significant.
Goki had been charging towards Cleric Quintus's direction for quite a while. Although his vision was still filled with countless Seaborn, he knew he was probably not far from his target.
During the slaughter, the giant beast's body beneath Goki's feet suddenly trembled, even tilting to one side for a moment.
"Roar!!!"
Accompanying the tremor beneath his feet and the giant beast's painful roar, Goki saw a crimson figure suddenly leap high from the shallow sea below, like a… flying fish emerging from the water.
Facing this giant beast, over ten meters tall and thousands of times larger than herself, the Abyssal Hunter showed no fear. She swung her greatsword, its three red lights glowing, and slammed it onto the Seaborn's fin, which was comparable to a small ship's sail.
Bang—boom!
With a sharp sonic boom, the Seaborn was cut with a giant, meter-wide sword mark from this single strike. Its hard shell was directly gouged open, and greenish flesh spilled out, looking particularly terrifying.
Moving nimbly on tiptoe across the Seaborn's rugged side, Skadi wielded her massive blade with a calm expression. Each sword strike aimed for the gaps in the Seaborn's scales, her swordplay like a tide, a dance. Every blow made the giant Seaborn wail.
"Goki, any creature under attack will feel pain, fear, or expose a weakness, but the Seaborn don't have those feelings—don't stop attacking until it's completely dead! Just hack it to death and it's over!"
Skadi was already adept at hunting such large Seaborn—peeling shells, severing tails, crushing horns, slicing fins, like a chef expertly butchering an ox.
This was the Abyssal Hunter's fighting style.
While hunting, she loudly imparted her hunting experience to Goki.
"We'll deal with the Seaborn, you go take care of Quintus!"
With another heavy blow, Skadi carved huge gashes into the fins on the giant beast's limbs, but from within, countless surging tentacles burst forth, coiling around her.
In response, Skadi could only leap back into the water, swimming at high speed like an assault boat, searching for another opportunity.
"Actually, we don't even know if they feel pain! Hahahahaha! What does it matter to me if the Seaborn feel pain—being able to breathe in the air, this is no ordinary Seaborn, we must strike hard!"
With another heavy impact, the Seaborn continued to let out mournful wails.
Accompanied by the loud sound of a chainsaw, Specter's eyes glowed with a faint white light as she continuously cut at the Seaborn's limbs beneath its feet. Wherever the circular saw passed, large gushes of greenish bodily fluid sprayed out.
"Die, you deep-sea scum—Go, Goki, kill that pretentious Aegir bastard!"
As if to vent the anger accumulated from being controlled and experimented on for over a week, Specter's attacks lost the elegance of an Abyssal Hunter, becoming wild and ambitious!
Now, she was—shark-eyed! Shark-brained!
Goki couldn't help but click his tongue at this—these two Abyssal Hunters were truly two Valkyries. Even such a terrifying giant Seaborn was nothing more than a slightly rarer prey to them.
Watching the Seaborn gradually weaken, Goki couldn't help but anticipate how they would execute it once they defeated this giant beast.
"However, I should be able to get results faster over here—wouldn't you agree, Cleric Quintus?"
He pulled out two oil canisters, threw them forward, and shattered them with a single shot. The bursting flames splattered, incinerating the last few injured Terrorfish.
Goki stepped on the broken scales, resting his now extinguished but still hot Saw Cleaver on his shoulder, and looked at Quintus opposite him, enveloped by greenish-grey tentacles, fused with the Seaborn as one.
It was time to put an end to this journey to Saltwind City.
