Chapter 9 - Chapter 9

Sometimes, you can't just confess and forget the past. A person must take responsibility for their actions. Even those soldiers who wanted to run—eventually found they couldn't escape.

Watching them attempt to flee, Lu Yi's eyes showed no mercy. He waved his wand, and the long firework dragon continued its descent.

Fwoosh!

The firework dragon swooped down from the sky, its mouth opening wide as if to unleash another dazzling barrage. Countless fireworks spewed out, raining down on the soldiers, making them cry all over again.

Fireworks weren't lethal—but they could hurt. The burning sparks landed on the defeated soldiers, letting them fully experience the consequences of their rash decisions!

And it wasn't just their eyebrows.

Beards, hair—even body hair—fell victim to the scorching sparks. One by one, they were turned into bald, soot-covered pigs, coughing black smoke and bawling miserably.

Here, physical humiliation was secondary. The real devastation—was to the soul.

In the eyes of the public, becoming a soot-black pig—was a shame many would never recover from.

Ross—couldn't bear the sight either. Lu Yi wasn't just humiliating the soldiers—he was humiliating him. It felt like Lu Yi was slapping him across the face, in public. Soldiers could die—but they could not be humiliated.

"Launch every missile! Leave no survivors!" Ross roared into the radio, eyes bloodshot.

That order was drenched in killing intent.

The helicopter pilots responsible for missile deployment trembled violently when they heard it. They didn't even dare argue. They simply pressed all the red buttons.

We're dead.

The civilians watching went insane.

Missiles—one of mankind's most devastating weapons—were now being fired recklessly, right in the heart of the city.

If all of them exploded, half the district would be scorched flat—and the other half turned to rubble.

The military had completely disregarded civilian lives—and even their own soldiers.

"You seek death."

Watching the missiles rapidly approach, Lu Yi's eyes suddenly ignited—two blazing red beams burst forth, like burning wrath from the heavens.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

Thunderous explosions ripped through the air. The missiles, still close to the helicopters, detonated instantly. Shockwaves tore through the streets, flames devoured everything, smoke churned violently toward the sky.

But before the fire and shockwaves could fully dissipate—an even more horrifying sight unfolded.

Lu Yi raised his wand.

And with a simple wave—

All the shockwaves, heat, light, and destructive force—were rewoven.

Twisted.

Contorted.

Transformed—

Into fireworks.

Beautiful, harmless fireworks—exploding gently in the night sky.

And in those fireworks…

Floated a clown.

Dancing.

Juggling.

Moving playfully in the sky like some whimsical, mocking performer.

No one dared to laugh.

They looked at the clown.

Then at Lu Yi.

Their souls felt stabbed by invisible needles—aching with dread and awe.

There was no need for words. Lu Yi had just shown them—what it meant to be untouchable. To be something beyond human.

Ross collapsed to the ground, paralyzed. A venomous regret began to gnaw at his heart.

Why had he attacked now?

Why hadn't he waited—prepared—planned?

If he had been more careful, maybe he could've harnessed Lu Yi's power for America—for war—for dominance.

But now, it was too late.

Lu Yi—now alert, now awakened—was ten times harder to deal with than before.

And Ross knew—

This would leave a scar on his military career forever.

"That's enough! Retreat! Stop!" Ross rasped hoarsely, his voice breaking as he watched his humiliated soldiers.

"You think this is over?" Lu Yi used Ross's shout as an invitation. He floated toward him—hovering above—looking down like a god… or demon.

"What do you want? Don't forget—I'm a United States Army General. Know when to stop—or you'll be hunted. Forever!" Ross stared up, shouting with false confidence.

"You're threatening me?"

"Yes!"

Hahahahaha—!

Lu Yi burst into laughter—tears forming at the corners of his eyes.

Threatening him?

How ridiculous.

"What are you laughing at?"

"I'm laughing at your stupidity—and your blindness to the situation! At my current level of power—I can match any nation on Earth. Even America—so what? I could walk into the White House, kill every senior official—even the President. And what would your guards do to stop me?"

"You—You wouldn't dare!" Ross stammered, finally grasping the horrifying truth.

"Whether I dare or not—isn't up to you," Lu Yi smiled coldly. "Don't worry—I won't kill you. I'll let you live. I'll let you see what I dare to do. And let every U.S. official learn—sometimes, living is far more terrifying than death."

With that—

Lu Yi raised his wand.

A flash of light shot forth—striking Ross.

At first, Ross felt nothing.

But then—

His body stiffened.

His knees buckled.

He collapsed to the ground, as his shape began to change.

His body swelled.

Arms and legs shrank.

His snout protruded.

His ears curled upward.

Within seconds—

General Ross—

was gone.

In his place stood…

A pig.

A white domestic pig—oinking weakly, trembling, humiliated.

Lu Yi had turned him into a pig.

A living warning.
