Chapter 138 - Chapter 138: I Can Only Let Him Toy with Me However He Wants…

Audrey: "…"

Did you almost let it slip just now and admit you aren't a good person?

You absolutely did, didn't you?!

Even though she was terrified inside, Audrey forced herself to stay calm. She tried to keep her voice steady as she asked, "Sir, who are you? What do you want with me?"

Sensing Audrey's tension and unease, Harry hurried to soothe her again, trying to help her settle down. He softened his voice and said gently,

"Don't worry. I won't hurt you, and I'm definitely not one of those evil gods.

I'm not from your world. I come from another, distant world.

The reason I'm speaking with you through a special method is because I'm looking for a reliable informant in your world. After observing and filtering, I've found that you are the most suitable candidate."

Harry deliberately replaced the term "debtor," which might trigger Audrey's misunderstanding and panic, with "informant."

He knew very well that in a situation like this, any word that could stir up more anxiety might make Audrey resist him even more, which would be bad for continued communication and cooperation.

"Outside the world?" Audrey frowned slightly, suspicion flashing in her eyes.

She didn't immediately believe the mysterious gentleman's words, but what he said still hooked her curiosity tightly.

At the end of the day, she was just a hot-blooded young girl—full of longing for the extraordinary world, ignorant about it, and reckless enough to push forward anyway.

From Audrey's tone, Harry realized she had taken interest. He seized the perfect opening and continued tempting her:

"That's right—outside the world. Given your status, you should know that the world you live in is a planet, and beyond the planet is the universe. I come from beyond the universe, or from somewhere even farther. Perhaps calling it 'outside the world' is more accurate.

Right now, I'm using an extremely special method to communicate with you. I won't harm you the way the evil gods of your world do."

Audrey knew she shouldn't trust a mysterious figure's sweet talk, but she still couldn't suppress her curiosity. She pressed on:

"Sir, if I become your informant, what exactly would I need to do? And what kind of payment can you give me?"

Her heart was in her throat, her palms sweating with tension.

Talking like this with a mysterious being gave her a thrilling sense that she was negotiating with a devil.

And deep down, she also felt a faint hope—maybe this mysterious gentleman truly was as kind as he claimed. If she got lucky, perhaps she could gain some extraordinary knowledge from him and finally fulfill her dream of becoming a Beyonder.

Things were going shockingly smoothly. Harry was delighted, and he explained at once:

"I'm very curious about your world's potion-based Beyonder system. Once you become my informant, your main task will be to help me collect various potion formulas from your world.

And in exchange, I will share my power with you…"

Seeing Audrey's expression change, fear surfacing, Harry quickly clarified:

"Don't worry. My power is completely different from your potion-system powers. There's no risk of losing control, and it isn't restricted by pathways.

It will let you use all kinds of magic beyond imagination. Perhaps… I can let you experience it for yourself first…"

As he spoke, Harry subtly influenced the chaos source power within him, carefully controlling chaos magic and sending it into the potion world, slowly injecting it into Audrey's body.

At the same time, through magical feedback, he immediately learned Audrey's talent for magic.

What surprised Harry slightly was that Audrey's magical talent was excellent. She still fell short of Wanda, but she was not inferior to Coulson at all.

That meant she had enormous potential—enough to learn the vast majority of spells.

In the blink of an eye, Audrey saw a flicker of light and shadow. A semi-transparent panel glowing with gentle light appeared out of nowhere, floating steadily in front of her.

On the panel was a detailed exchange system between gold pounds and points, along with the categories of magic currently available for purchase with points.

That massive array of spell categories carried a startling allure. Her eyes lit up. Without realizing it, she turned slightly to the side and swallowed.

She was thrilled.

There was no doubt about it—"Backlund's most dazzling gem" had been deeply captivated by these miraculous extraordinary powers.

Especially when she realized these powers were completely different from the potion-based Beyonder system she knew, that attraction skyrocketed several times over.

Audrey struggled fiercely inside. After hesitating again and again, she finally gathered her courage and said with a trace of unease,

"Sir, could you give me some time to think? One week from now, I will definitely give you my answer!"

Harry's lips curved slightly. He knew the plan was already more than halfway successful.

He was certain that once Audrey personally experienced and used magic power from another world, she wouldn't be able to refuse.

Even though Audrey couldn't see him, Harry still nodded out of habit and replied warmly,

"Of course, beautiful lady—just as you wish."

With that, Harry cut off the connection.

When the mysterious gentleman's presence completely vanished, Audrey took a deep breath, trying to calm the excitement surging in her.

She forced her expression back to normal, acting as if nothing had happened, and set off for Saint Samuel Cathedral of the Church of the Evernight Goddess.

After arriving at Saint Samuel Cathedral, Audrey spotted the Church's archbishop, Anthony Stevenson, at a glance.

Her eyes brightened. She walked over quickly, greeted the archbishop politely, and carefully observed his reactions without drawing attention, not missing even the smallest change in expression.

It had to be said—Archbishop Anthony looked like a true expert at first glance.

He wore a solemn black robe, its edges traced with gold thread in mysterious patterns.

As he moved, the gold thread glimmered faintly, dazzling like stars shining in the dark night.

According to her father's usual descriptions, Archbishop Anthony was undoubtedly a powerful Beyonder of exceptional strength.

Audrey thought that with his ability, perhaps he could detect the mysterious panel the gentleman had left on her.

If Archbishop Anthony truly discovered traces of the panel, it would mean everything the mysterious gentleman said earlier was a lie.

If Archbishop Anthony could detect his methods, how could he possibly be from outside the world?

At that point, she would beg the archbishop to take action and completely remove this unknown hidden danger.

But if even Archbishop Anthony couldn't find anything abnormal about her, then the mysterious gentleman's words would become highly credible.

After all, a Beyonder that powerful wouldn't joke with a young girl like her.

Audrey's heart was full of anxiety. Yet when she saw Archbishop Anthony's expression remain perfectly normal—showing no sign that he sensed anything wrong with her—and even after she devoutly prayed to the Evernight Goddess inside the cathedral, nothing unusual happened at all…

Audrey stared up at the solemn murals on the cathedral's dome, feeling utterly lost. She couldn't even tell whether she was happy or upset.

Just from this alone, she could infer that the mysterious gentleman was at least a Great Existence on the same level as the Evernight Goddess.

A being that powerful—if he truly wanted to harm her—could do it as easily as breathing.

So it seemed very likely that what the mysterious gentleman said earlier was true.

However, precisely because of how powerful he was, escaping his control was basically a fantasy.

Thinking of that, Audrey couldn't help showing fear. She had already fallen into the mysterious gentleman's palm—she could only be toyed with however he pleased…

Wuu wuu wuu…

After disconnecting from Audrey, Harry temporarily put away the urge to observe other worlds and instead turned his attention to the magical materials in front of him.

Among them were the highest-grade uru metal gifted by Asgard, as well as treasures he had once taken from Kamar-Taj's vault.

Harry planned to use these precious materials to forge a powerful flying cloak.

In the wizarding world, riding a broomstick might be common enough, but once you were placed in the vast multiverse, it just felt too lame.

Tony had armor for flight. Thor had Mjolnir, a divine weapon. Even S.H.I.E.L.D. was building a Helicarrier.

As the heir to the Sorcerer Supreme, if he was still riding a broomstick every day to run around, it would be a complete loss of face.

Besides, riding a broomstick for long periods meant constant bouncing and friction. Even with Harry's far-superior physique, his prostate would eventually take a beating and something would go seriously wrong!

Drawing on the rich experience he'd gained while crafting his new wand, Harry smoothly threw himself into creating the new flying cloak.

He focused completely, his hands precisely sorting and arranging the materials. Before long, a brand-new flying cloak was born in his hands.

Like the new wand, this flying cloak could merge into Harry's flesh and blood, traveling with him between worlds.

And it also had strong defensive capabilities. An invisible yet tough magical shield had been applied to it, comparable to keeping an Ironclad Charm active for a long time.

Of course, flight was the flying cloak's core advantage.

Compared to a traditional broomstick, it was a qualitative leap. Wearing this cloak, Harry could accelerate continuously, and his top speed could reach an astonishing Mach 3.

If he reinforced it with magic, the speed would be even higher.

After all, for Harry, long-distance travel could be handled with portals or Apparition. The flying cloak was mainly for showing off and looking cool.

Days slipped by like grains of sand. On this day, Harry and Gwen were in the room, completely immersed in gaming.

The lighting was soft. The two of them sat close together on the sofa, eyes locked on the screen, fingers flying over the controllers.

The intense atmosphere of the game mixed with the warmth of their closeness, filling the air with threads of ambiguity—so heated it felt like it could ignite at a touch.

But right then, the debtor system suddenly sent a communication request. After Harry accepted, Coulson's urgent voice came through again:

"Harry, it's extremely urgent—Loki took the Tesseract!"

Harry: "???"

The Tesseract?

Wasn't that the container for the Space Stone?

What shocked him was that the Tesseract—something he'd assumed had vanished—had apparently been in S.H.I.E.L.D.'s hands the whole time.

And what surprised Harry even more was: why was Loki showing up on Midgard now?

Why did he take the Tesseract, and what kind of hidden purpose was he plotting?
