The moment they stepped out of the portal, Wanda and Pietro stared at Harry in shock.
In the span of a single heartbeat, that incredible magic had carried them across an unimaginable distance to a place completely unfamiliar to them.
Now they believed Harry's words a little more. Maybe, just like he said, magic really did hold endless possibilities.
Before long, Pietro's attention was completely seized by the lavish, luxurious surroundings.
His eyes glittered with excitement. Like a curious kid, he wandered around, looking left and right, blurting out exclamations now and then.
"Damn, this hall is way too bright! Where the hell are we? Is this your house?"
Harry's expression stayed calm, his tone indifferent as he answered, "This is a cliffside villa in Malibu. A friend gave it to me."
Hearing that, Pietro immediately understood what it meant. His mouth fell open slightly as he stared, stunned.
"Your portal just took us straight across the Atlantic—over ten thousand kilometers—from Sokovia to Malibu! That's insane! I can't even imagine it!"
Then Pietro suddenly remembered something. A trace of anticipation appeared on his face as he asked carefully,
"Big bro Harry… do you think I can learn magic? And, and… can I live here?"
Harry didn't answer right away. Instead, he stepped forward and gently took hold of Pietro's hand.
In an instant, a soft current of magic seeped from Harry's palm into Pietro's body, carefully probing his magical aptitude.
A moment later, Harry's eyes widened slightly. A flicker of surprise passed through them as he looked at Pietro.
"I didn't expect this. You actually have advanced lightning magic aptitude… and you've even got a latent beginner-level time magic aptitude. No doubt about it—you can learn magic."
Learning lightning magic would be nothing but good for Pietro.
He was fast, sure, but when it came to bullets, his body was still far too fragile. He had basically no defensive ability at all.
Harry had always been worried that this speedster might get hit by a bullet one day because of a single moment of carelessness—and lose his life for it.
But if Pietro mastered lightning magic, everything would be different.
Lightning magic wouldn't just give him powerful offensive methods—it would also strengthen his body, making him capable of withstanding bullets.
Once lightning power fused into his physique, Pietro's overall toughness would undergo a qualitative leap. He wouldn't have to worry about being easily injured by ordinary bullets anymore.
But compared to his advanced lightning magic, the thing that truly amazed Harry was Pietro's latent beginner-level time magic aptitude.
Beginner-level time magic might sound unimpressive, yet the potential hidden within it was anything but small. For Pietro, even just "beginner-level" was stronger than advanced lightning magic!
It meant that as long as Pietro trained relentlessly, he would be able to influence the flow of time around himself.
At most, he might only be able to speed up his own time flow by several times—but even that was an extremely rare, formidable power.
In combat, once Pietro used time magic to accelerate his own time flow, his speed would rise even further. At critical moments, that kind of ability often became the key that turned the tide.
Out of all the people whose magical aptitude Harry had examined, those with time magic aptitude were incredibly few—you could count them on one hand.
Only himself, Wanda the Scarlet Witch, his fellow disciple Mordo, the future Doctor Strange, and Pietro in front of him.
That alone showed just how scarce time magic aptitude was—one in ten thousand, easily.
Harry suspected that Pietro's time magic aptitude was closely connected to his superpower.
The essence of his ability was very likely accelerating his own time flow.
Hearing Harry's judgment, Pietro was ecstatic.
It was like his body had springs installed. In the next second, he turned into a blur, bouncing and darting all over the room, shouting nonstop—looking like he'd just won the lottery.
But before he could fully enjoy that joy, Harry dumped a bucket of cold water on his head.
"However, you can't stay in this villa. Wanda can."
The smile on Pietro's face froze instantly. Annoyance flashed across his expression.
"Hey, man—look, you saved us from the Hydra base, you're handsome, you're rich, and you've got crazy power, but if you're trying to hit on my sister, that's not happening! I'm telling you, no way—"
Halfway through, Pietro suddenly went still. Then, in a whiplash shift of attitude:
"Wait… actually… maybe it's not impossible?"
He scratched his head, starting to calculate wildly in his mind.
Ever since they were kids, his sister Wanda had been beautiful and popular with people their age. But in Pietro's eyes, how could those flashy, cheap flirts possibly be worthy of Wanda?
But Harry was different.
Just like he said—someone like Harry, how many could there be on Earth?
He had overwhelming strength, could understand Wanda as a fellow superhuman, and he was rich too—meaning Pietro's allowance definitely wouldn't be lacking in the future!
This was perfect!
So the moment Pietro "figured it out," he defected on the spot.
He hurried up beside Harry, plastering on an enthusiastic grin. He raised his hand and gave Harry's shoulder a heavy pat, looking like he wholeheartedly supported him.
"Brother-in-law! Starting today, Wanda's in your hands! Don't worry, I'll do everything I can to help you chase my sister. But I have one condition—let me live here for now, and later you've gotta build me a villa too, and give me enough spending money to pick up girls!"
Wanda's expression grew darker and darker, until she finally condensed a ball of energy and slammed it into Pietro's stomach.
At the same time, her face turned bright red. She didn't dare look at Harry as she snapped at Pietro, "Pietro, you're seriously selling me out!"
Pietro clutched his stomach with both hands, forcing himself upright. His face was deathly pale from the pain, drained of all color.
Looking like he'd suffered a great injustice, he loudly defended himself.
"No, Wanda, you really need to think this through! How many men in this world are better than Harry? You two are basically made for each other—there's nobody more suitable—"
Before he could finish, Pietro got blasted away again.
Wanda's cheeks were burning. She truly regretted bringing Pietro out—she should've left him back at the Hydra base!
We could've said all that in private, okay?!
Do you think I don't know?!
Your sister will work hard!
You think you're the only smart one?!
Do I, Wanda, have no shame?!
Harry shook his head lightly and flatly rejected Pietro's proposal.
"I can gift you a villa, and I can teach you magic. I can even give you some spending money to go pick up girls. But you can't live here."
Pietro looked dissatisfied and complained, "Harry, you can't do me like that. Why does Wanda get to stay here, but I get kicked out? So what, you're the type who values women over bros, and women over men?"
Faced with Pietro's barrage of questions, Harry didn't get angry. His expression stayed gentle as he patiently explained to his future free top-tier bodyguard.
"Calm down. Listen to me. Wanda can stay here because her magical aptitude is extremely high—she has a chance to inherit the most primordial chaos magic.
"When I'm in this villa, I often conduct magical experiments. Those experiments are full of uncertainties. If something fails, some chaos magic may go out of control.
"Out-of-control chaos magic can alter the form and essence of everything around it, causing unpredictable consequences. But Wanda is different—she's immune to the influence of that kind of magic, so staying here won't be dangerous for her.
"And you don't want to wake up one day and suddenly find out you've turned into a woman, or a dog, or some indescribable tentacle monster, do you?"
But what Harry didn't expect was that Pietro's bottom line was even lower than he'd imagined.
When he heard that out-of-control chaos magic might turn him into a woman, Pietro didn't look terrified at all. Instead, a strangely intrigued glint flashed in his eyes.
Then when he learned he might turn into a dog, the light in his eyes didn't dim in the slightest—he stayed just as excited.
And when he heard he could become a tentacle monster, he got so hyped he nearly jumped on the spot, his eyes shining.
His lips wriggled as he muttered softly to himself, "Damn… when you put it that way, it actually sounds kinda interesting. Pretty cutting-edge play, huh!"
Harry: "…"
Wanda: "…"
"Get lost!" the two of them shouted in unison.
After that, Harry directly had Wanda and Pietro sign a contract. A good woman like Wanda was practically one of a kind—if he didn't bring her under his wing for even a second, Harry couldn't feel at ease for even a second.
What if one day Wanda got targeted by some other-dimensional demon god, trying to steal her away from him?
If someone swooped in and snatched her first, what then?
Harry was still counting on Wanda so he could live off her, retire leisurely, and enjoy an easy life!
After the contract was signed, Wanda didn't disappoint Harry.
Her progress in learning magic was unbelievably fast. In a short time, she became proficient in many spells, including but not limited to: telekinesis, magic power blasts, lightning magic, gravity magic, mental interference, and more…
If the growth speed of beginner magical aptitude was 1, intermediate was 10, and advanced was 100, then Wanda's magical aptitude was downright shocking—her growth speed reached 10,000!
Her compatibility with Harry was simply too perfect—like two puzzle pieces fitting together with zero gap. The moment they met, they sparked something incomparable!
After discovering that, Harry didn't hesitate to grant Wanda a Supreme VIP credit tier—the same treatment as Uncle Ben and Aunt May, second only to his own Supreme of Supremes.
That day, the sun was bright and the weather was clear. Under Harry's careful guidance, Wanda prepared to cast magic.
Suddenly, Wanda felt a strange swelling fullness inside her, like a force was ramming around and surging everywhere, completely out of control.
She subconsciously pressed her lips together lightly. A flush quietly climbed her cheeks, and a tiny whimper slipped from her throat.
"Harry… slower… it's too much, too much…"
Harry slowed the speed at which he fed magic into her slightly, yet the magic still flowed like a thin stream, continuously pouring into Wanda's body.
