Taki snapped back to reality. "Better than ever! Sagiri, thank you for your concern just now!"
Sagiri was taken aback by her sudden burst of energy, which only further convinced her that Taki must have engaged in an unprecedented session of 'self-relief' in the bathroom just now, and was now in a state of enlightened clarity.
Her sense of guilt deepened. She quickly handed Taki a throw pillow, her tone becoming even gentler: "It's good that you're okay. Go on and watch TV, this cartoon is really funny."
Dinner was prepared quickly. Kanzaki Saku's culinary skills were as outstanding as his other abilities. Exquisite steak, fragrant pasta bolognese, and a refreshing vegetable salad were neatly arranged in the center of the dining table.
"Taki, Sagiri, it's time to eat."
Kanzaki Saku took off his apron and called to them with a smile.
The atmosphere at the table was subtle. Because of the previous 'misunderstanding,' Sagiri was exceptionally warm toward Taki, constantly putting food on her plate and fussing over her, trying to make up for her mistake.
Although Taki was baffled by Sagiri's sudden warmth, she was happy to enjoy the special treatment, calmly accepting the offerings.
Kanzaki Saku sat at the head of the table, eating quietly, occasionally joining the conversation to ask Taki about interesting things at school or check on Sagiri's studies.
Halfway through the meal, when the atmosphere was at its most harmonious, Kanzaki Saku put down his fork, elegantly wiped the corner of his mouth with a napkin, and casually suggested, "Taki-san, you must be tired from studying today, and there was that misunderstanding. Taki was ecstatic, but on the surface, she acted as if she couldn't refuse her good friend's earnest invitation, finally nodding reluctantly: "Well, if I'm not imposing... thank you, Brother Kanzaki, thank you, Sagiri."
She lowered her head, poking at the pasta on her plate with her fork to hide the triumphant look in her eyes.
