"Please, spare my life! I have a band to support, and my dream hasn't come true yet! If you let me go, I'll do anything! I'll even write a song for you!"
Bocchi-chan squeezed her eyes shut, her hands clasped together above her head. She curled into a ball, trying to reduce the surface area available for attack.
Yukino looked at the pink-haired girl who was clearly scared out of her wits, her icy gaze mixed with an inability to comprehend Gotoh Hitori's actions.
What on earth is this girl rambling about?
Normally, Yukino might have given Bocchi-chan a warning to maintain her authority, but worried as she was about Kanzaki Saku, she had no time to deal with an idiot.
"Where. Did. Kanzaki. Saku. Go?" Yukino repeated, enunciating each syllable so Gotoh Hitori could hear clearly.
This time, Bocchi-chan understood. Yukino was looking for Kanzaki Saku, not here to punish her for her usual online trash talk.
What would happen when a famously delinquent girl urgently sought a top-tier, delicate-looking boy? Did she even need to think about it?
This Snow Woman was definitely going to beat Kanzaki Saku to his knees and drag him back as her plaything!
If it were anyone else, Bocchi-chan would have surely cracked under the pressure and sold them out on the spot.
But Kanzaki Saku was the father of her future children! She didn't dare to imagine what would happen to him in the hands of a delinquent like this!
The thought of Kanzaki Saku being overpowered by a delinquent, subjected to a brutal assault, and forced into a state of degradation... that's something that can only happen at least ten years after I'm dead!
"I-I don't know!" Gotoh Hitori said in the most timid voice possible, delivering what she considered to be her most defiant answer.
Faced with Gotoh Hitori, who was acting like a non-player character, Yumiko grew even more anxious than Yukino. She directly grabbed Bocchi-chan's collar and lifted her from her seat.
"Where is he?! I'm asking you, where is Kanzaki Saku? You're sitting in his seat, how could you not know where he went?"
"Wh-wh-wh-where did he go? I really don't know!"
Bocchi-chan's performance was certainly one of terror, so much so that she could barely speak clearly, but she truly didn't know Kanzaki Saku's whereabouts.
Even with a Great Memory Recovery Jutsu, you can't know what you don't know.
Yumiko saw her cowardly and useless appearance, grinding her teeth in frustration, but she was helpless.
"Maybe Kanzaki-san missed you too, Boss Yukino, so he ran out to find you after class ended," Yumiko said, forcing her own brain to work since Bocchi-chan was so useless.
Having finally thought of a possibility, she quickly voiced it.
Yukino's brow furrowed. "To find me? We didn't see him on our way here."
A bad feeling had begun to spread in Yukino's heart a moment ago.
Saku's health had just improved, and his personality was so pure and harmless (in Yukino's perception). For him to be moving around alone in a school where there were more wolves than sheep and sexual frustration was rampant was like a lamb walking into a pack of wolves!
I have to find him quickly! I can't delay any longer!
Yukino decided not to waste any more time here. She prepared to mobilize the full power of the Service Club to conduct a campus-wide grid search.
Seeing that Yukino and Yumiko were about to leave—whether it was out of love, or because her desire overcame her fear...
Gotoh Hitori, in a moment of crisis, erupted with courage and quick-wittedness. Bocchi-chan shone brightly in the jaws of the tiger!
If she let this group of delinquents find Kanzaki Saku, then her future with him would vanish. She would never get to see Kanzaki Saku's special CG in this lifetime.
She had to think of a way to hold these delinquents back and then find a chance to report them to a teacher.
"I-I-I remember now! As soon as the bell rang, Kanzaki-san... he went out! He said... he was going for a walk..."
"He went out? By himself? He wasn't forcibly taken by someone?" Yumiko, standing behind Yukino, couldn't help but press for details.
"Y-yes, he went by himself! Because I... I was secretly... admiring him, so I paid special attention! He seemed to be... heading toward the old school building..."
Because Bocchi-chan liked to brag, she had made a point to gather gossip. She knew the area around the old school building was a gray zone where delinquents often handled matters privately, and it seemed to be unclaimed territory.
As long as she could trick Yukino and her underling into going there, there was a high probability they would clash with another delinquent group. That way, her goal of delaying them would be achieved!
However, Bocchi-chan wasn't part of the delinquent world, so her information was outdated.
She didn't know that the old school building and its surrounding area had long been brought under the control of the Kato Legion and was now considered Megumi Kato's territory.
But her shot-in-the-dark lie happened to align perfectly with the worst-case scenario in Yukino's mind!
Because according to Kato's First Law—which states that Megumi Kato is responsible for everything bad—Yukino already suspected the Kato Legion was involved in Kanzaki Saku's disappearance.
Gotoh Hitori's words only further confirmed her suspicions.
"When did he leave?" Yukino stared intently at Gotoh Hitori, trying to discern the truth from her panicked eyes and jumbled words.
She could tell this pink-haired girl didn't have the guts to lie, but that very fact made her even more anxious.
That woman Megumi Kato would even snatch a lollipop from a child. She didn't dare to imagine what would happen if Saku fell into her hands.
The thought of Saku being overpowered by Megumi Kato, subjected to a brutal assault, and forced into a state of degradation... that's something that can only happen at least ten years after I'm dead!
"He... he left as soon as class was over!" Gotoh Hitori was so frightened by Yukino's icy glare that she blurted out a specific time almost instinctively.
Just as she finished speaking, the bell for the next class rang. Students in the hallway began to return to their classrooms, but Kanzaki Saku was nowhere to be seen.
This meant that Kanzaki Saku had been gone from the classroom, his whereabouts unknown, for ten minutes! A full ten minutes!
If there had been a sliver of hope that 'he might have just gone to the restroom,' the warning bell ringing without his return was like a final death knell, definitively announcing that something had happened to Kanzaki Saku.
Saku's body had only just recovered; he would never skip class for no reason.
The only explanation was that he had encountered some irresistible trouble.
"Megumi Kato! I'm not done with you! You just wait! Just you wait!" Yukino was absolutely, supremely enraged!
The students in the classroom felt it become difficult to breathe. A few of the more timid ones had already started to tremble.
Miura Yumiko's face was as white as a sheet, her lips trembling uncontrollably.
If something really happened to Kanzaki Saku at the hands of the Kato Legion... she couldn't imagine how Boss Yukino would punish her, let alone what Kanzaki Saku might be suffering.....
From a god's-eye view, Megumi Kato was completely unaware of this matter, so it wasn't her doing.
But at this very moment, on the other side, Kanzaki Saku was indeed suffering a 'brutal interrogation' from two members of the Kato Legion, so saying it wasn't Megumi Kato's doing was a bit unlikely.
In short, it's all Megumi Kato's fault!
How can this Megumi Kato be so evil!
