"What did you say?!"
Hearing this bad news, Kaido's face suddenly turned hideous, and his voice became extremely loud and intense. "What happened? Why did that stupid son run away from home?"
"W-We don't know either." Though separated by an unknown distance, the person on the other end of the Den Den Mushi could still perceive the imitation of Kaido's fierce expression and became so frightened that they stuttered while speaking. "W-We only heard a v-violent explosion... when w-we found where the loud sound came from... there was just a huge crater and fragments of h-handcuffs..."
"The three Calamities who were supervising business in Wano hurried back and searched the entire Onigashima, but we still couldn't find Master Yamato..."
"According to the traces we found, Master Yamato didn't steal a sailboat but used her Devil Fruit ability to leave the island and run away from home."
Bang!
As his last words were spoken, the sound of something falling to the ground suddenly came from the Den Den Mushi. The considerate Den Den Mushi also simulated the expression and collapse of the person on the other side.
Obviously, the pirate on the opposite end had been frightened into fainting upon seeing the fierce expression on the Den Den Mushi that imitated Kaido.
After a while, the Den Den Mushi's expression shifted restlessly, indicating that the person on the other side had changed.
"Do we still have Yamato's Vivre Card?" Kaido asked in a deep voice.
"We don't. The place where it was stored has been ransacked."
"Then go and inform King to immediately follow the trails where ice traces once appeared and see if he can find Yamato." Kaido soon returned to his calm demeanor and commanded.
"If you can't find Yamato, have King notify Joker to use his abilities to help me find my idiot son—even if he has to search the entire New World!"
"O-Ok!" The person on the opposite Den Den Mushi replied with a trembling voice.
"Idiot son! You're already twenty-one years old this year, yet you still make your father worry about you!!"
After hanging up the Den Den Mushi, Kaido's reprimanding voice grew louder and louder.
In the end, accompanied by a roar, a hundred-meter-long blue dragon rose into the sky again and flew off to somewhere unknown.
The people fortunate enough to witness this scene squatted on the ground in fright.
—
A few days later, on the Island of Dreams.
"Roger!!!"
On the balcony of the tallest building, El was admiring the scenery of the entire island and the blueprints for the Sky City when he suddenly heard a shout that seemed to resound across the entire island.
Hearing this familiar yet unfamiliar voice, a row of black lines appeared on El's forehead.
"Roger?"
Carina tilted her head slightly, and El could see an imaginary question mark appearing above her head.
"Roger? Gol D. Roger?"
Then, a black line also appeared on Carina's forehead as she spoke. "What year is it already? Doesn't that person know how many years it's been since Gol D. Roger died?"
"...She's calling me." El replied quietly.
Looking at the stunned Carina, El said while gently stroking his forehead, "That person is Kaido's daughter—a fool with a problem in her head. I'll go check on her first..."
After finishing speaking, El's figure flew away from the balcony and descended toward the sea, several hundred meters below.
It didn't take long for El to spot a figure wearing a sleeveless white garment with a diamond-shaped design on both sides, an indigo wisp-patterned bottom half, a pair of red hakama pants, and sandals. Much like Oden, she also wore a large purple and white nio-dasuki tied behind her back.
"Roger... I'm here!"
Seeing El's figure, Yamato, who was holding her mace, immediately waved at him excitedly.
It was just that this name caused another black line to appear on El's forehead. But no matter how helpless he felt, he had nothing to say—who told him to leave without telling his name last time?
"My name is El, not Roger." Flying in front of her, El corrected her.
"Got it, Roger," Yamato replied, carrying her mace with a grin.
El didn't bother to respond to that but looked at her with a hint of admiration in his eyes as he asked, "You're here... so you're determined to follow me?"
Yamato nodded, her face full of excitement. "I took off the bomb handcuffs secretly and ran away when that shitty old man left Onigashima while the three Calamities weren't around."
"I want to join your pirate crew and explore the world with you."
"Then, welcome to the Flying Pirates, Yamato." The corner of El's mouth rose slightly as he reached out his palm to Yamato. When her slender yet powerful palm tightly grasped his, the Flying Pirates had finally welcomed their third strong member, becoming a truly qualified pirate crew.
—
For a Pirate Emperor's force, the captain must have three strong individuals under their command—that is the most basic requirement.
Even the future Straw Hat Pirates, under Luffy, would have Zoro, Sanji, and Jinbe.
Now, in addition to the World's Worst Devil Fruit Users, El had Yamato. And if he only had Carina and Nami enter Asura form, they were second only to Kuina and Yamato.
From this moment on, El's title of "Fourth Emperor of the Sea" became truly worthy.
Though he didn't command thousands of troops beneath him, when Tama eventually ate the Millet-Millet Fruit and produced countless dumplings, the Flying Pirates—controlling innumerable Sea Kings and meteorites—would be far more terrifying than leading thousands of troops. When that time came, the Flying Pirates would be the strongest force on the seas.
