El did not look down on Enel simply because he had caught him at his weakest stage.
On the contrary—
El treated Enel with the greatest caution.
That was why he used the strongest technique he had mastered this month—
The Spear of Elbaf of the Ancient Giant Tribe: Hakoku Sovereignty.
Not only that, El deliberately infused a massive amount of Armament Haki into the attack.
He had no intention of holding back.
As a transmigrator, no one understood better than El just how absurd the Goro Goro no Mi truly was.
Electric Fields.Radio Waves.Electrothermal Therapy.
Those were merely three of its terrifying applications—leaving aside its other abilities for the moment.
The Electric Field alone was enough to render the user nearly invincible.
Even compared to the Pika Pika no Mi, another Logia famous for speed, the difference was clear.
The Pika Pika no Mi required its user to emit light and travel along the refraction path.
If the light was disrupted, that movement could be interrupted.
But the Goro Goro no Mi was entirely different.
As long as an Electric Field was released, the user could freely teleport anywhere within its range—ignoring obstacles completely.
If they couldn't win, they could simply teleport away.
Extend the Electric Field.Teleport again.
Unless someone could dispel or erase the Electric Field itself, even the so-called strongest man in the world would never be able to chase down a Goro Goro no Mi user.
In the original timeline, if Enel had truly wanted to avoid battle, even Luffy's protagonist halo wouldn't have allowed him to touch the corner of Enel's clothes.
The only reason Enel lost was arrogance.
To prevent Enel from grasping the concept of the Electric Field while being cornered, El deliberately waited until he fell asleep.
Then—
He ended everything with one decisive blow.
When the shockwave of Hakoku Sovereignty—spreading for several miles—finally dissipated, the land fell silent once more.
An enormous gully had appeared above the ruins.
At night, its visual impact was muted.
But in daylight, any ordinary person passing by would be terrified into collapsing on the spot by the sheer scale of destruction.
Fortunately, the shockwave dispersed outward rather than drilling downward.
Otherwise, the white cloud-ground beneath would have been blasted into an irreparable abyss.
At the center of the gully lay a motionless body.
El knew, however, that Enel was not truly dead yet.
He was only in a state of suspended animation.
If a finishing blow was not delivered, an ability known as Electrotherapy would forcibly drag Enel back from the brink of death.
Moving swiftly, El took the Seastone handcuffs from his waist and snapped them shut around Enel's wrists.
Only by sealing the Goro Goro no Mi could El truly feel at ease.
Without wasting another second, El hoisted the body onto his shoulder and retraced his path.
Within ten minutes, he returned to the hotel room, slipping in through the window before Enel could revive.
"Nii-san, you're back?"
"This is the Devil Fruit user you hunted?"
The three girls had already bought the large box and were waiting.
The moment they saw Enel slung over El's shoulder, they crowded around.
El nodded, placed Enel on the floor, and calmly crushed his throat with a precise motion.
After confirming there was no chance of revival, he stuffed the body into the box.
Turning to the three girls, El smiled.
"Kuina's Devil Fruit… is about to be obtained."
Kuina's eyes instantly lit up.
"What kind of Devil Fruit is it?"
Carina asked curiously,"Paramecia? Or Logia?"
Among the valuables stored in the bank, they already had two Zoan-type Devil Fruits, so Carina never considered that Kuina's fruit would be another Zoan.
She didn't even know that Mythical Zoans existed—rarer than Logias themselves.
"It's a Logia," El said calmly,"And not just any Logia."
"It's the strongest Devil Fruit of its kind."
"The Goro Goro no Mi."
El then smoothly fabricated his explanation.
"To be honest, even I didn't expect such a huge harvest from this Sky Island trip."
"When I touched some of the residents earlier, I saw memories of Birka—and of a man who could control lightning."
"After arriving here and releasing Observation Haki, I sensed an extremely powerful aura."
"That's when I confirmed it."
"This Devil Fruit was once recorded in the CP organization's database—but it vanished generations ago and became nothing more than a legend."
He paused.
"And today, we recovered it."
El opened his oversized backpack, took out fresh fruit, placed it inside the box, and turned to Carina.
"We'll talk later. Carina—take his ability first."
"Yes."
Carina nodded and swallowed the entire box into her Baku Baku Space.
Less than a minute later, she spat it back out.
Enel's corpse remained unchanged.
But the fruit beside him—
Had transformed.
The ordinary Sky Island fruit had turned blue and white, its peel covered in intricate spiral patterns.
A Logia-type Devil Fruit.
The Goro Goro no Mi.
El picked it up and walked over to Kuina.
"Kuina, this is the Devil Fruit I promised you last year."
"It was prepared especially for you."
Holding it out, El grinned.
"Eat it."
"You won't just break the physical limits of a woman—"
"You'll gain one of the most unfathomable abilities in the entire world."
"…Thank you, El."
Kuina accepted the Devil Fruit.
Unlike Nami last year, she didn't hesitate for long.
After a few seconds of contemplation, she looked at El with unwavering resolve.
"I won't let you down."
"I will never let you down."
"I will become the sharpest sword in your hand."
With that, Kuina opened her mouth and bit into the Devil Fruit.
After swallowing—
Her brows knit slightly.
