Chapter 59 - Chapter 59

"This arrogant brat…"

"Hah, we're being ignored."

"I hope he can keep that arrogance later."

Facing El's dismissive attitude, the three CP members reacted differently.

The man in the suit only felt irritation—he saw El's behavior as blind arrogance, nothing more.

The two women beside him, however, were complete opposites in temperament: one as fierce as fire, the other as cold as ice.

Yet neither of them was surprised by El's reaction.

Clearly, they had encountered this sort of situation more than once.

"What a bunch of nonsense—hey!"

Seeing their careless expressions, El didn't bother wasting words. He simply drew his sword and swung it.

A sharp slash split the air, sending a Flying Slash tearing through the sky and desert toward the three of them.

"Little devil," the man sneered, hands still in his pockets."Feel the difference between yourself and a Superhuman—Tempest Kick (Rankyaku)!"

He raised one long leg and kicked forward.

A compressed blade of wind shot out, just as sharp and powerful as El's Flying Slash.

BOOM!

The two slashes collided midair, exploding like fireworks. The impact shattered into countless wind blades that spiraled outward in every direction.

Endless yellow sand was swept up instantly, merging with the storm of blades. The violent sandstorm stung Carina and Kuina's skin and forced them to shut their eyes.

"Carina, Nami, Kuina," El said calmly."You deal with the two women. I'll handle this arrogant guy."

Taking advantage of the sandstorm blocking vision, El removed the band from his wrist and tied his long silver hair into a single ponytail. Then he gave instructions to the three girls sheltering behind him.

"Leave it to us, Nii-san!"

The girls nodded vigorously.

Without hesitation, Carina activated her Devil Fruit ability—opening her mouth and eating Nami and Kuina, then even swallowing herself—entering the state of Three Heads and Six Arms.

Meanwhile, El gripped his sword and charged straight into the sandstorm.

Swish!

His blade slashed downward from the sky to the ground.

The sandstorm created by the collision of the two Flying Slashes was split apart instantly, blown away as if cleaved in half. Dust and violent wind roared off to either side.

El turned into a blur—an afterimage too fast for the naked eye—and shot toward the man in the suit who reappeared on the opposite side.

"Shave (Soru)!"

The man vanished as well, breaking the sound barrier as he rushed straight toward El.

Before the two afterimages even met, a sharp, compressed shockwave shot out from the man's finger—aimed directly at El's shoulder.

A Flying Finger Pistol.

El blocked it effortlessly with his sword.

As expected… he's no ordinary CP member.

The thought strengthened El's judgment.

Being able to use a ranged variation of Finger Pistol (Shigan) meant the man's mastery had long surpassed ordinary superhuman martial arts.

And judging by how relaxed he looked, this wasn't even his limit.

El's lips curved upward slightly.

The stronger the opponent—

The greater the harvest.

Seeing his Flying Finger Pistol fail, the man stopped Shaving, raised his leg again, and unleashed another Tempest Kick (Rankyaku).

This time, El didn't answer with a Flying Slash.

Instead, he vanished.

In an instant, he appeared outside the attack's range—then vanished again, reappearing directly in front of the man.

The Sandai Kitetsu came down with terrifying speed and power.

"Shave!"

El's speed had long surpassed what ordinary eyes could follow.

But the man's dynamic vision was far from ordinary.

Whether he sensed the killing sharpness of Sandai Kitetsu or simply didn't want his clothes torn, he instinctively used Shave to dodge—appearing behind El in a counterattack.

Unfortunately—

He regretted it immediately.

Rip—!

The sound of fabric tearing echoed through the air.

The man who appeared behind El froze in horror.

He hurriedly leapt back, widening the distance between them.

Blood spilled across his upper body, dyeing his white suit red. A sword wound ran from his right abdomen to his left chest.

"T-That's impossible… the captain was hurt?!"

"Was Bonier careless?!"

The sight shocked the two women observing the fight.

No one understood their captain's strength better than they did.

With Bonier's mastery of the Six Styles (Rokushiki), even pirate overlords from across the seas—or Grand Line supernovas with bounties exceeding one hundred million—rarely posed a threat unless they possessed exceptional Devil Fruit abilities, physiques, or swordsmanship.

And yet—

El had injured their captain within just a few exchanges.

To them, it was unbelievable.

They didn't know that Bonier stood near the apex of his group—

Or rather, they didn't know why that apex existed.

Redfield had no Devil Fruit. No pirate crew.

And yet he stood shoulder to shoulder with Whitebeard and other monsters of the era.

Why did Redfield become the first pirate to defeat a Fleet Admiral alone?

The answer was simple.

Beyond overwhelming strength, Redfield relied on the ability to see people's hearts.

The brain controls the body.

Unless someone reaches a mythical state like "autonomous combat," every attack and defense is preceded by thought.

And those thoughts—

Were completely exposed to El.

The moment Bonier vanished, El had already seen his intention:Appear behind. Finger Pistol.

Using Life Return, El forced his body beyond normal limits, twisting the slash that should have gone forward into a perfect 180-degree turn—

And cut Bonier before he could even react.
