"One... one and a half million?"
After hearing Shikime Natsu's words, Hoshinomiya Chie sobered up quite a bit.
She had just gotten one and a half million points from Ichinose Honami, and now Shikime Natsu was thinking of taking it from her?
This was just too much, wasn't it?!
"Shiki-chan, isn't this a bit too much? How much beer could one and a half million personal points buy?"
Hoshinomiya Chie looked at Shikime Natsu pitifully, as if trying to make him change his mind.
"Not really. In any case, these one and a half million personal points didn't belong to you in the first place, right, Sensei? Besides, Hoshinomiya-sensei was the one who initiated this deal with me."
Shikime Natsu shook his head slightly. Putting on a pitiful expression was useless; he was a man with a heart of stone.
"There's no room for negotiation. If Hoshinomiya-sensei isn't willing, then today's deal is over. Who knows when Class D will find out about this school's rules? Today? Or maybe tomorrow?"
With that, Shikime Natsu made a move to get up and leave.
This was a blatant threat. Hoshinomiya Chie had taught here for so long, only to be threatened by a mere student.
"Aren't you worried about Class D becoming a threat to Class A? The closer their points get, the bigger the threat to Class A. Only Class A students get to enjoy this school's graduation and university advancement rates, you know~"
Hoshinomiya Chie's expression turned a bit more serious. This guy really was too much.
"I don't care."
Shikime Natsu let out a light chuckle, his eyes filled with confidence. They all had the same start, but he was able to notice the difference first while the other classes hadn't. That in itself proved the gap between them.
"What an arrogant brat!"
Hoshinomiya Chie shot Shikime Natsu a vicious glare.
He was immune to both soft and hard tactics. If she had known, she wouldn't have kept this guy around, only to get played by him. Seriously, could anyone really remain unmoved after seeing such a cute girl looking so pitiful?
She wasn't even in the mood to drink anymore!
"Fine, I'll transfer the one and a half million to you. Remember, don't reveal any information to Class D!"
Hoshinomiya Chie's demeanor changed completely, a hint of some unknown emotion in her eyes.
Shikime Natsu now had a sense of how deep the conflict between Hoshinomiya Chie and the Class D homeroom teacher was. Even if this one and a half million personal points was a windfall for Hoshinomiya Chie, it wasn't something she could just give away casually.
And yet, to cause trouble for Class D, Hoshinomiya Chie was willing to hand over one and a half million. Impressive. A woman's heart is as deep as the ocean.
"Hold on, Hoshinomiya-sensei, no need to be in such a hurry. I'd like to ask, does the school permit a teacher like you to interfere in the competition between students?"
As Shikime Natsu asked this, he already had an answer in his heart. If teachers could really interfere, they would have actively offered to sell information for two million personal points.
But they hadn't, which meant teachers naturally didn't have the authority to get involved personally.
"Of course not. Are you worried that our deal will affect you?"
As Hoshinomiya Chie spoke, she suddenly paused, understanding what Shikime Natsu was worried about.
"That's right."
Shikime Natsu admitted it quite frankly.
"This will definitely only affect me. As long as Shiki-chan doesn't tell on me, there won't be a problem."
That was the truth.
Shikime Natsu couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief. It was a good thing he had the ability to see whether someone was being sincere or not.
Otherwise... he really couldn't figure Hoshinomiya Chie out.
"Then there's no problem."
Shikime Natsu nodded, accepting the points with a clear conscience.
Now it was his own problem.
He could find a breakthrough with Ryuuen Kakeru for one million, but what about Class D?
He had to emphasize to his class that they couldn't leak information to Class D, so a deal with Class D was out of the question.
What about the extra points? There was no way he would rat out this woman, Hoshinomiya Chie. Nor could he tell Class B and have them sell the information to Class D for a fifty-fifty split. If he did that, he would have truly and utterly offended Hoshinomiya Chie.
Shikime Natsu wasn't yet clear on the consequences of offending a teacher, but at the very least, as a newly enrolled student, his schemes were probably no match for Hoshinomiya Chie's.
Besides, it might affect his future dealings with Class B. He couldn't kill the goose that laid the golden eggs.
In that case....
He would deal with Class C first.
An idea formed in Shikime Natsu's mind. The outcome of this contest was already decided.
Taking out his phone, Shikime Natsu quickly found Ryuuen Kakeru's contact information.
He called him directly.
"Hey, Ryuuen, have you completely taken control of Class C yet?"
Shikime Natsu began. He didn't like waiting around to finalize things. Even if it meant the gap between Class C and Class A wouldn't widen much, he didn't care.
Just as Shikime Natsu had told Hoshinomiya Chie, he didn't care.
"What do you want from me, you bastard?"
Ryuuen Kakeru's impatient voice came from the other end of the line.
"If you've seized control of Class C, we can continue this conversation. If not, I'm hanging up."
Shikime Natsu said. It had only been one day since school started. It should be difficult to gain control of all of Class C, especially for someone like Ryuuen Kakeru who wanted to conquer the class through violence. The difficulty was even greater.
Unless Ryuuen Kakeru was exceptionally strong. Hmm... he could handle Ishizaki Daichi, but Yamada Albert would probably be tough.
"Wait, it's a deal, right? I have control of Class C now. Go on, what's the deal?"
Ryuuen Kakeru's tone rose slightly.
"Bring your homeroom teacher and come to Room XX at the karaoke place in Keyaki Mall."
Shikime Natsu didn't plan to say too much over the phone, to ensure there were no unexpected variables. Ryuuen Kakeru was a man of terrifyingly swift action.
He hadn't expected Ryuuen Kakeru to be able to conquer all of Class C in such a short time. He really couldn't be underestimated.
"Can't you say it over the phone?"
"No, to ensure there aren't too many variables."
On the other end, Ryuuen Kakeru fell silent.
"You'd better not be wasting my time."
Ryuuen Kakeru's slightly warning tone came through, followed by the beep of the call ending.
Shikime Natsu booked a new karaoke room. There was still an alcoholic in the original one; he wouldn't bother her any further.
Of course, the main reason was that Shikime Natsu was worried that woman would make him pay the final bill. After all, he had just taken one and a half million personal points from Hoshinomiya Chie; she might try to freeload off him.
"That Sakayanagi girl wants to talk to you."
Just then, a message suddenly came from Kamuro Masumi.
