Chapter 116 -  The Bald Guy

Octopus girl…?

The moment those four words echoed through the tavern, everyone present wore the exact same expression—

Disgust.

Damn it.

Another pervert.

Ron raised an eyebrow.

"Oh~? The Deep?"

The newcomer was none other than The Deep, from The Boys universe—

Vice-captain of the Seven.

His superpower: the ability to understand and communicate with marine life.

"You know him?" Morgana blinked in curiosity.

Ron smiled faintly.

"Homelander's subordinate. Which technically makes him your subordinate too."

Morgana instantly felt a headache coming on. She pressed a hand to her forehead.

"F***—

Don't tell me there isn't a single normal person in Homelander's world!"

Ron nodded seriously.

"Congratulations. You guessed it right."

The next second, Morgana opened her mouth and unleashed a rapid stream of curses—so fast it sounded like encrypted radio traffic.

Nearby, the Nether King—who had been debating with Kesha—felt a surge of relief.

Good thing the one arguing with him wasn't this woman.

Otherwise…

He would've definitely snapped and started throwing hands.

Those insults were vicious.

Meanwhile, under the collective gaze of the tavern's patrons, The Deep sprinted straight toward the kitchen.

When he saw Tohru raise her knife—

He stretched out his arm and shouted at the top of his lungs:

"NO!!!"

Unfortunately…

He was too late.

A flash of steel.

Several octopus heads were chopped clean off in one motion.

Tohru then skillfully sliced them into thin strips, arranged them neatly, and plated them into a sashimi assortment.

At that moment—

Time itself seemed to freeze.

The Deep collapsed to his knees.

In his vision, only the severed tentacles remained—still twitching faintly in the air.

In his ears echoed screams, cries for help—

As if blaming him for failing to save them.

"Would you like some?"

Tohru thought he was hungry and handed him the sashimi platter.

The Deep didn't respond.

He left the kitchen in silence and sat down at the bar, eyes hollow.

He couldn't understand it.

Why did humans have to eat fish?

They were so cute… so understanding…

Sometimes they even helped him cope with loneliness.

Compared to having a girlfriend,

The Deep preferred forming deep, intimate bonds with marine creatures.

At that moment—

Ron and Morgana silently probed his thoughts.

The next second—

Both slapped themselves in the face simultaneously.

Too f*ing sick.**

He was practically on par with Homelander.

Just then, Tohru and Rem came out of the kitchen.

One carried a drink.

The other carried the octopus sashimi platter.

They placed everything in front of The Deep.

Tohru smiled politely.

"Here's your drink. Please enjoy."

Then she glanced at Ron.

"I noticed this guest staring at the octopus earlier, so I gave it to him.

I'll go prepare some fresh ones for you."

Before Ron could respond—

The Deep forced a bitter smile.

"Could you… take it away?"

"Seeing dead octopus girls makes me nauseous."

What a strange man…

Tohru frowned slightly but took the platter away.

Ron asked curiously,

"Did something happen?"

"You didn't react this strongly to dead sea creatures before."

The Deep ignored the fact that Ron somehow knew him.

He downed a mouthful of alcohol and said miserably:

"It's something even God would look at and say 'Fuck.'"

"That day, Homelander told me to keep an eye on the Herogasm gathering."

"But…"

"The moment I saw Timothy, we fell in love.

We had a very… deep exchange."

"Halfway through—Homelander and Soldier Boy started fighting."

"To punish me for failing my task…"

"He ate seafood right in front of me."

"And forced me… to eat Timothy."

"You don't understand…"

"She was praying in my mouth.

Begging."

By the time he finished, The Deep had collapsed onto the table, sobbing uncontrollably.

Gray Wolf, Rayleigh, the Holy Lord, and the others—completely unaware of the truth—looked at him with sympathy.

At this point, they still thought "Timothy" was his wife.

Or girlfriend.

Gray Wolf nudged Aizen.

"Hey, don't you control people's five senses?"

"Can't you let him see Timothy again? Just once?"

Aizen silently nodded.

The next instant—

As The Deep cried, he suddenly felt something crawling on his face.

A familiar voice echoed in his ears.

He looked up.

An octopus appeared before his eyes.

This was…

Timothy.

Joy exploded across The Deep's face.

He gently stroked the octopus's head, his expression tender—

As if touching a lover.

In his eyes, the octopus was the most beautiful woman in the world.

The mouth, the eight seductive tentacles, the round head—

Every part of her stirred his soul.

Seeing this, Gray Wolf said proudly,

"Looks like I did a good deed."

Aizen: "..."

That was me, you idiot.

But after a few minutes—

Everyone began to feel that something was very, very wrong.

Extremely wrong.

The Deep said in a dreamy voice:

"Oh, Timothy…"

"Yes… wrap your suction cups around my waist…"

Gray Wolf, Rayleigh, and the Holy Lord froze in horror.

Timothy was a f***ing octopus?!

Then it hit them—

Homelander once mentioned having a perverted subordinate who played with octopuses.

F***.

It was this guy?!

And just now he was—

They didn't dare think further.

Chills ran through their bodies.

The most desperate person, however, was Aizen.

He felt like Kyōka Suigetsu was no longer pure.

It had been used for this.

At that moment—

Aizen genuinely wanted to die.

The illusion ended.

Timothy vanished.

"Timothy… where did you go?"

The Deep whispered painfully.

"That was just an illusion," Ron sighed, explaining everything that had happened.

"I understand," The Deep said quietly, walking up to Aizen with pleading eyes.

"Could you let me see her one more time?"

"Just once."

Veins bulged on Aizen's forehead.

A single, icy word escaped his teeth:

"Get lost."

Just then—

The tavern bell rang.

Ding—ling.

As the door slowly opened, a bald man in a yellow hero suit with a white cape stepped inside.

Before the door even closed—

Homelander walked in as well, leisurely sipping fresh milk from a bottle.

Feeling that familiar presence, The Deep turned stiffly.

Their eyes met.

Dead silence.

Homelander immediately put the bottle away and flashed his trademark smile.

"You saw that, didn't you?"

"I'll give you a chance."

"Tell me—what was I drinking just now?"
