The first Senzu Bean had gone for a staggering 1.7 billion Beli, purchased by the Pirate Empress herself — and the Colosseum had exploded with excitement.
When the second bean's bidding began, the price skyrocketed even faster than before.
"Two billion!"
A woman's voice rang out from the VIP section — not Boa Hancock's, but Stussy, the Queen of the Pleasure District.
After raising her number plate, she smiled sweetly and said in a coy, polished tone:
"Gentlemen, would you be so kind as to let this lady have a fair chance?"
Across the hall, Feld, the King of Loans, grimaced as though he'd swallowed something sour.
"Stussy, don't kid yourself. You're no innocent maiden. I'm offering twenty-three billion!"
A flicker of cold light flashed deep in Stussy's eyes, though her face remained perfectly composed.
"Lord Feld, you're far too generous. I'll withdraw, then."
At such an astronomical figure, few dared continue. Even those desperate for a bean — the Giant Warrior Hajrudin, Chinjao the Drill, or King Elizabello II — could only watch.
Just as Feld was about to seal his victory, Marco the Phoenix rose to his feet.
"On behalf of the Whitebeard Pirates, I bid twenty-five billion. This bean is for our father's treatment. I hope everyone can show a little understanding."
In the corner, Lucky Roux muttered around his ever-present drumstick,
"Heh, sounds just like our captain. 'Give me a little face,' huh?"
The crowd broke into hushed whispers. Whitebeard… ill? Even if true, none were bold enough to cross him. The Whitebeard Pirates were a force no one wished to provoke.
Feld promptly backed down.
Doflamingo's Fraying Control
Nearby, Doflamingo's grin was frozen stiff, his expression dark as thunder.
His original plan had been simple — every Senzu Bean would be his.
This was his kingdom, after all. No one in Dressrosa dared challenge Joker.
But now?
The Pirate Empress.
The Phoenix.
Katakuri.
Lucky Roux.
Each one a monster on par with him — some backed by Yonko even more terrifying than himself.
He couldn't afford to offend any of them.
"Damn it… if I'd known this would happen, I never would've agreed to Kaido's stupid auction."
But it was far too late. The stage had grown beyond his control.
Even with underworld titans like Feld and Pieklo backing him, the odds were slipping fast.
When Marco's deal was struck, Carrot once again carried back a massive chest of treasure — her eyes practically sparkling in the shape of Beli signs.
Katakuri's Move
The auctioneer announced the third bean — and before most could even raise a paddle, the air turned heavy.
Dark pressure surged like a tide.
Haoshoku Haki.
Instantly, the atmosphere shifted. Doflamingo, Hancock, and Chinjao all frowned. They recognized that power anywhere.
Boom... Boom... Boom...
Heavy footsteps echoed as a tall man approached the platform — trident in hand, scarf hiding his mouth.
Charlotte Katakuri.
The auctioneer fell silent, trembling.
Even Diamante, who maintained order in the arena, dared not speak.
Katakuri's voice was low and cold.
"Twenty billion. This bean belongs to Totto Land. Any objections?"
None answered. His gaze swept across the Colosseum like a blade, and those who met it felt their will falter.
He reached out, took the bean — and in the same motion, hurled a chest of treasure through the air with blinding speed.
It flew straight toward Luo Xing.
The crowd gasped — but before it could reach him, a figure burst forward like a tiger unleashed.
Fuz-Fu.
With one hand, he caught the chest midair — black Haki rippling across his arm — and set it down gently before his master.
Katakuri's eyes narrowed slightly.
He hadn't used light strength; the throw was coated in Armament Haki, meant to test the mysterious "Beast Prince."
Yet his subordinate had caught it effortlessly.
He recalled the name — Fuz-Fu — one of the Flying Six, not even among Kaido's top three.
So strong... must be the effect of those Monster Cells, Katakuri thought. Another of his inventions.
Luo Xing smiled faintly, taking the chest from Fuz-Fu's hands.
"My thanks to Big Mom's crew for your twenty billion. Counting the fifty billion before, that makes seventy billion total. You're quite the generous patrons."
Katakuri's mouth twitched beneath his scarf.
Even with his advanced Observation Haki — able to glimpse seconds into the future — he couldn't see through this man.
Revolutionaries Stir
The bidding for the fourth bean began.
Two beans left.
The atmosphere was feverish.
Even the hidden Revolutionary Army duo, Sabo and Koala, joined in.
But their resources were meager compared to Yonko crews and underworld tycoons.
Their money was meant for rebellion, not auctions.
The numbers climbed higher and higher — beyond twenty billion.
Sabo sighed.
"I thought we brought enough… guess not. We can't compete at this level."
Koala shook her head gently.
"It's fine. I'm used to this mark on my back. I don't need a miracle bean."
Her words made Sabo's chest tighten with guilt.
"Then once the auction ends," he said quietly, "we'll take one by force if we can. These pirates would only use it for chaos anyway."
Koala nodded firmly.
The Tension Before the Storm
The fourth Senzu Bean sold for thirty billion Beli, snatched up by Feld.
Now, only one bean remained.
"The fifth and final Senzu Bean auction begins—"
The host's voice cut through the tension, but no one moved.
Not a single paddle was raised.
The air thickened.
Everyone could feel it — the calm before the explosion.
Some of the sharpest minds were already edging toward the exits.
Too many monsters.
Too few beans.
Inevitably — blood would follow.
The Arena Explodes
BOOM!
A deafening crash shattered the silence.
A hulking figure leapt from the stands, charging toward the final bean.
"This one's mine! Nobody touch it!"
Another two roars followed, shaking the Colosseum.
A towering giant and a crown-wearing old man with iron fists crashed down behind him.
"Chinjao! Stop right there!"
The first man was, indeed, Chinjao the Drill, finally losing his patience.
"Out of my way!" he bellowed, his head coated in Armament Haki as he rammed forward like a living battering ram.
The fight erupted instantly — chaos spreading like wildfire.
Spectators screamed and fled.
But in the eyes of the ambitious — pirates, mercenaries, assassins — flames of greed burned bright.
The final Senzu Bean sat gleaming under the lights, untouched.
And every powerhouse in Dressrosa was about to fight for it.
