Chapter 53 - Dressrosa on the Brink of Chaos

"Panic my ass!"

Doflamingo could barely stop himself from shouting aloud.

Yes, he was nervous — he'd admit that much to himself.

The number of powerful figures arriving in Dressrosa had already far exceeded his expectations.

But what truly infuriated him was that damn bird, Morgans, shrieking about it from the skies for the entire world to hear.

How's a man supposed to save face with that squawking idiot screaming headlines over my head?

He glared skyward, murderous intent flickering behind his shades.

If Morgans hadn't been flying so high, Doflamingo would've already shot a bullet of thread through his beak.

Another Arrival

"Fwo-ho-ho! What a crowd! Didn't expect so many to be after the Senzu Beans, huh?"

The massive ship flying the Red-Haired Pirates' flag glided into Dressrosa's port.

From the deck, a rotund man leapt down, chewing on a chicken leg that gleamed with oil.

"I didn't bring much money this time," the man said with a greasy grin.

"Shanks'll have to forgive me if I don't win a single bean."

Doflamingo's eyes narrowed, then relaxed slightly.

He recognized the man immediately — Lucky Roux, one of Shanks' senior officers.

At least it's not Benn Beckman, he thought grimly.

That man was said to rival even Shanks himself — a strategist and marksman feared across the seas.

Roux, though formidable, was easier to stomach.

The Flood of Power

As if the gods themselves had decreed it, more and more ships began to appear on the horizon.

Each one carried a name that sent ripples through the New World.

And above, Morgans was beside himself with joy — his voice booming over the city like a manic commentator.

"Look there! The man dripping in gold and chains — that's the King of Loans, Feld! The richest broker in the underworld!"

"And beside him, the man with the scythe — all muscle and malice — that's Pieklo, the King of Assassins! The underworld's most feared killer!"

The crowd roared with awe.

Even the pirates who'd come as spectators began to tremble.

Doflamingo, however, actually smiled for the first time that day.

Feld and Pieklo were his allies — secret partners in a shadowy pact.

Their arrival meant his odds had just improved.

"Another ship! Another ship!" Morgans cried, feathers flaring with excitement.

"A beautiful lady steps off — wait, that's Stussy, the Queen of the Pleasure District! Yet another ruler of the underworld!"

Stussy, wearing her signature pink hat and a smile that could melt stone, looked up at the noisy bird above.

"Mr. Big News," she purred, "you're shouting so loud, you'll scare a lady half to death~."

Every feather on Morgans' body stiffened in alarm.

He knew that tone — playful on the surface, lethal underneath.

He shut his beak immediately.

Stussy's lips curled into a knowing smile before her gaze slid toward Boa Hancock.

"So that's the legendary Pirate Empress," she mused aloud. "Even more beautiful than the rumors. You make me feel terribly plain, my dear."

Hancock turned her head, eyes cold, chin tilted high.

"Of course you do. Every woman looks plain before me — especially vulgar, aging ones like you."

Vulgar.

Aging.

Stussy's smile twitched.

She was indeed older than she looked — though she kept that secret well.

"As heartless as they say," she muttered under her breath. "I'll let it go this time."

With that, she turned away.

Her mission here was not vanity — it was to secure a Senzu Bean for the World Government, and gather intelligence on that elusive "Beast Prince" Luo Xing.

She had no intention of wasting time trading insults with the Empress.

The Earth Trembles

Suddenly — boom.

The ground quaked beneath everyone's feet, dust and stone scattering.

A massive shadow loomed over the port.

"A giant! That's Hajrudin of Elbaf!"

Morgans' voice rang out again, thrilled beyond measure.

"The pride of the New Generation Giants! Another warrior enters the ring!"

Strong after strong arrived.

Some kept to the shadows — like Vice Admiral Momonga and Sabo of the Revolutionary Army — both concealing their presence to avoid chaos.

Others made no effort to hide, walking openly through Dressrosa's streets as if daring the world to challenge them.

"And now—what's this? A king! That's King Elizabello II of Prodence Kingdom, and his strategist, Dagama!"

"They say his King Punch can shatter a fortress in one blow! Even the Yonko wouldn't take it head-on!"

"There — the Longarm Tribe! And there — the Fishmen! Representatives from every corner of the seas!"

Morgans' commentary echoed across the island, growing more breathless by the second.

By now, Dressrosa had become the center of the world's gaze.

Powerhouses, monarchs, outlaws — all converging for one purpose.

And for the first time in history, envoys from all four Yonko were present on the same island.

Doflamingo's Breaking Point

Doflamingo stood in silence, his trademark grin long gone.

The air around him had turned heavy — his mood darker than ever.

His once flawless plan was in shambles.

So many giants had entered the game that even he, the self-proclaimed King of Dressrosa, couldn't control it anymore.

Yes, he had home advantage.

But if these monsters started fighting over five Senzu Beans…

the entire island would be reduced to rubble within hours.

The Navy Watches

From his hidden vantage point, Vice Admiral Momonga wiped the sweat from his brow.

He'd seen enough wars to know what came next.

"Too many predators, not enough prey…" he muttered. "This island is about to explode."

He could already picture the aftermath — a city torn apart, the seas burning, and the headlines screaming World in Turmoil!

"I have to report this directly to Fleet Admiral Sengoku!"

He grabbed his Den Den Mushi and began dialing immediately.

High Above the City

On a distant rooftop, Fuz-Fu's expression had turned grim.

"My lord," he said cautiously, "there are too many strong opponents gathered here. Will this affect our plan?"

Though strengthened by the Ghost-Grade Monster Cell, his confidence wavered.

Against beings like Marco or Katakuri, even he knew his limits.

"Should we request reinforcements from Lord Kaido?"

Luo Xing shook his head calmly.

"No. Too many of us would draw attention — and suspicion. That's why I brought only you."

Fuz-Fu bowed deeply.

Beside him, Carrot gazed at her master with pure admiration.

Luo Xing stood with his hands clasped behind his back, eyes fixed on the chaos below, a faint smile playing on his lips.

"Don't look so nervous," he said softly. "These people aren't here to challenge us."

He turned slightly, his eyes glinting like steel.

"They're here to bring us their money."

Fuz-Fu straightened, silently awed.

Luo Xing's hand fell to the sword at his waist — Enma, the blade once wielded by Kozuki Oden, tamed now by his own Conqueror's Haki.

The blade trembled faintly in its sheath, as if eager for battle.

"Easy, Enma," Luo Xing murmured, smiling faintly. "Your time will come soon enough."
