Chapter 103 - Chapter 103: The High-Cloud Quintet's Beloved, Bai Heng.

Boom! Boom! Boom!!!

Just as Oliver was still reminiscing about Jing Yuan, the roar of a battle-cruiser sounded, pulling him back.

The pilots of the Yaoqing Xianzhou had begun to take off, scouting the skies and seizing air superiority.

"It has begun."

Jingliu stood up, observing the situation.

She wanted to make her entrance when both sides appeared simultaneously, as that would be the most impactful.

Oliver let her be.

He had just been casually humoring her back then, never expecting her to take it seriously for a thousand years.

Just then.

A starship started smoking in the air, then turned and plunged straight towards their location!

"How did it crash by itself right at the start?"

Oliver was utterly astonished.

He had never seen a Yaoqing battle-cruiser be so outrageous.

It was about to crash right after takeoff.

And it was aiming right at him.

"There's still a pilot inside, I'll go..."

Just as Jingliu prepared to intervene and save the person, Oliver had already appeared in the battle-cruiser's cockpit.

He saw a Fox-person Maiden with light purple hair desperately trying to pull up.

"Oh no, oh no, why are there people there?"

"Turn, quickly!"

"I don't want to smash into innocent people!"

She was focused and didn't notice another person appearing behind her.

Oliver stepped forward, grabbed the Fox-person Maiden by the arm, and tossed her forward, landing her directly on the sofa behind Jingliu.

Oliver then launched himself back to Jingliu's side.

The Fox-person Maiden looked completely bewildered.

Who am I?

Where am I?

Where is my starship?

Oh, it crashed, and it's currently crashing toward her.

Her beautiful eyes widened. In her line of sight, a smoking starship was hurtling toward her.

Jingliu materialized an ice sword in her hand, flicked it upward casually, and frost exploded in the air.

The starship that was about to hit the three of them was frozen in mid-air, creating a magnificent spectacle.

Jingliu did not move an inch, remaining calm and composed, her breathing as steady as ever.

She certainly put on a show.

Oliver turned around and looked at the Fox-person Maiden on the sofa.

That appearance, that fur color, and the identity of a Yaoqing Foxian pilot.

How could Oliver not recognize her?

Bai Heng, one of the High-Cloud Quintet. (As shown in the picture.)

The beloved and the white moonlight.

"Do you know her?"

Jingliu asked.

Oliver nodded: "Bai Heng, the Yaoqing Foxian pilot."

Hearing her name called, Bai Heng finally snapped out of it and clearly saw the faces of the two people in front of her.

"You! You are the Sword Immortal recorded in the Xianzhou War Archives! Oliver, I've seen your portrait!"

Bai Heng pointed at Oliver, her eyes wide.

Then she moved her finger to Jingliu beside him: "You! You are the apprentice of the Green Lotus Sword Immortal, Jingliu! I recognize you too!"

"Wow!"

"I grew up listening to your stories! I didn't expect you to actually know me!"

Bai Heng stood up and walked in front of the pair, excitedly examining them both.

It was as if they were long-lost old friends.

She had completely forgotten about the crash just moments ago.

Lively.

This was Oliver's first impression of Bai Heng.

The second impression was beauty.

Long purple hair, topped by a pair of Foxian ears.

Even though Oliver had Fei Xiao and General Yueyu, he still couldn't resist appreciating a new beast-eared girl.

His gaze dropped.

They were a pair of C-cup headlights, enough to feed the kids.

Next were a slender waist, fair legs, and a fox tail.

Coupled with this lively and outgoing personality, it was indeed hard not to like her.

But in fact, no one was willing to be her partner.

Because they would either die or be crippled.

"I heard there's a Yaoqing pilot who crashes every time she goes on a mission, and her teammates either die or get crippled, but the pilot herself always survives. That would be you, right?"

Oliver smiled, teasing the little Foxian in front of him.

Judging by her appearance of seventeen or eighteen, she is likely only forty or fifty years old now, which is very young considering the average lifespan of 307 for a Foxian.

"Hehe, well, it's not exactly a rumor."

Bai Heng scratched her head awkwardly and added, "I don't know what happened just now; the engine failed, the instrument panel went dark, and the control stick got jammed."

"If you hadn't saved me, I probably would have crashed right into you."

After Bai Heng finished speaking, she bowed deeply to Oliver and Jingliu.

This was to express her gratitude for saving her life.

"She is quite a remarkable woman, managing to survive to this age despite such terrible luck."

Jingliu examined Bai Heng with great interest.

She had seen people who could survive, but never anyone who could survive this much.

It was absurd that her seemingly fragile body could survive hundreds of crash landings.

"What are your plans now?"

Oliver asked.

Bai Heng glanced at the frozen starship, then looked at Oliver, and said, "Can I follow you both? I'm your fan! Wait, no, you are my idols! I want to see the heroic bearing of you two up close!"

"Just like that handsome sword strike just now, freezing the starship instantly!"

Bai Heng's eyes shone as she praised him profusely.

Jingliu suppressed the corners of her mouth, then looked at Oliver and said, "Master, she is very weak without her starship. Should we bring her along?"

Oliver knew exactly what Jingliu was thinking: she was simply pleased by the compliments from the innocent Foxian.

Otherwise, she would never have suggested bringing anyone else along.

"Alright. I also want to see if you can bring me bad luck."

Oliver smiled faintly at Bai Heng.

"Ptooey! Ptooey! Ptooey! Quickly!"

Bai Heng grabbed Oliver's arm. "You can't say things like that! I don't want anything bad to happen to you."

This scene completely stunned Jingliu.

She stared at Oliver's arm, where another woman's hand rested.

This is bad!

She's a vixen!

I misjudged her.

Jingliu's smile vanished, and she immediately became cold, perfectly embodying the image of an ice beauty.

"It's a shame my starship is broken; otherwise, I could guide you from the sky."

As Bai Heng spoke, she pulled out a Cloud Knight Bow. "Hehe, actually, my archery is pretty good, and I can help out a little."

Oliver felt joy in his heart seeing her adorable, naive appearance.

He then shattered the ice, retrieved the damaged starship, and began wrapping it with a Bandage.

"Why are you wrapping the starship with a Bandage?" Bai Heng asked.

Before Oliver could answer, Jingliu interjected, "Master's methods are beyond your understanding. Damage of this extent can be fixed by Master simply moving his fingers."

"Really? Wow, your Master is truly amazing!"

Bai Heng genuinely thought he was amazing and praised him sincerely.

That sincere gaze left Jingliu speechless.

It was like punching cotton.

Oliver wanted to laugh, but he didn't dare, afraid of embarrassing his beloved disciple.

He remained silent and focused on repairing the starship.

Soon.

The Bandage unwound.

The starship, which had been shattered and declared irreparable, was restored to a brand new state!

"Wow!"

Bai Heng rushed over, hugged the starship, rubbing her face against the hull while murmuring, "It's real! It's really fixed! It looks exactly the same as before!"

"So amazing! Big Brother Oliver, you are truly incredible! You can do everything; an all-powerful man is the coolest!"
