Without hearing Caleb Morgan's reply, Evelyn spoke again, "Caden is really good to me, and we truly love each other. I know there's a grudge between you two, but no matter how big the hatred is, can you let it go for my sake?"
"No matter how big the hatred?" Caleb Morgan's voice squeezed through his teeth, "Evelyn, do you even know what that hatred is? How dare you so casually speak such words?"
"I trust Caden, even if he makes mistakes, it can't possibly be something huge!" Evelyn spoke with determination, "So, Brother, why don't you be magnanimous and forgive him, then let him take care of me for life as a way to atone, okay?"
"No way!" Caleb Morgan's voice was stern, shattering Evelyn's fantasy, "You absolutely cannot be with him!"
"Brother!"
"I'm here today to tell you to leave him!" Caleb Morgan spoke almost in a commanding tone, "Evelyn, if you really believe we have a deep connection, then listen to me! I've always treated you like a princess, would I ever harm you?"
