Facing the girl's worried gaze, Bella softened her expression, reached out to rub her head, and said, "It's fine, let's go have dinner."
"Yeah, yeah, if we don't like someone, we just ignore them." The little girl nodded.
Bella smiled, and Damian drove off, glancing at Bella from the corner of his eye.
Bella knew he was looking at her but didn't want to speak, so she turned to look out the car window.
The journey was silent, except for the sound of Talia and Ethan talking in the back seat.
Arriving at the reserved Thai restaurant, the waitress led them to a private room. Damian ordered with the girl while Bella put down her bag and said, "I'm going to the restroom."
Damian put down the menu, looked at Bella's departing figure from the room, and said, "Ms. Cheney, I'm going too."
"Okay, then I'll order with Talia and Ethan first." Sharon nodded, gesturing with her eyes for him to go talk to Bella.
