Adrian lit a cigarette, the hazy smoke shrouding his eyes and brows.
Sean Wallace couldn't make out his expression, only sensed that his mood was faint, so faint it was as if none of this concerned him.
Sean started to get anxious for no reason: "Hey Ex, why don't you have any reaction at all!"
Adrian didn't even look at him, his tone absent-minded and utterly cold: "What kind of reaction am I supposed to have?"
"Of course you should go get Serena Stanton back!" Sean wished he could rush to the front lines for him. "Breaking up doesn't mean you can't get back together. If you really want her back, want to steal her away, I'll scour the globe for you for shovels—gold, silver, bronze… a hundred of each."
Adrian sneered disdainfully, "If I wanted to steal someone away, would I need you to find me a shovel?"
He really had no need—even a single hair from Young Master Shaw is worth more than any shovel, no matter how precious.
