Nen Abilities (Hatsu)
Mental Synchronization (You Are Me)
Manipulation Type. Based on the radio wave communication ability possessed by Chimera Ants, this ability allows the user to infuse those waves with Nen and emit them. It manipulates the bodies of those who touch these Nen waves, reformatting their consciousness into a 'Shared Mental Entity' exactly like the user's own. The influence is weak, so it is basically only usable on oneself.
Thought Operation (Multitask)
One of the applications of 'Mental Synchronization'. It connects the consciousness of the 'Main Body', 'Eggs', and 'Quinn', enabling networked thinking. High-speed processing is achieved by dividing thought tasks among the conscious entities. This was originally an ability possessed by Luan Almeiza, but it was reproduced in a different form after absorbing his consciousness.
Simultaneous Transmission (Broadcast)
One of the applications of 'Mental Synchronization'. By having hundreds of eggs activate 'Mental Synchronization' all at once—an ability that normally has only negligible influence on others—the signal is amplified enough to cause a strong sense of dissonance in enemies. It is effective for creating a momentary opening. It cannot control opponents.
Idol Worship (Ideal Me)
Conjuration Type. This ability perfectly reproduces a human modelled after the user's true desired appearance as a Nen doll. This Nen doll shares all senses with the user. Once activated, it cannot be deactivated. Multiple dolls cannot be created simultaneously, and the design cannot be changed. It possesses almost the same physical functions as a human and can handle Nen abilities, but the Nen doll itself cannot produce aura. If damaged, it can be repaired with aura. It will be destroyed if it sustains a fatal wound.
When the activation of this Nen doll can no longer be maintained, it consumes more than one-third of the maximum limit of eggs held (1000). If this cost cannot be paid, the Main Body dies.
Cradle of Sacrifice (Rotten Egg)
Emission Type. A giant laser-like Nen bullet. It can be used by consuming more than half of the maximum limit of eggs held.
Abilities Using the Almeiza Machine
(Since these are not Nen abilities, there is no aura consumption and memory space is not used)
Almeiza Machine
One of the Five Threats of the Dark Continent. A virus-type nanomachine weapon that feeds on the 'Life Energy (Aura)' possessed by living things to multiply. Infection spreads through contact with an infected person's aura. After a six-month incubation period, it forcibly opens the target's micropores, invades deep into the body from there, and multiplies explosively in an instant.
Individuals who reach this fulminant stage are covered in metal derived from the nanomachines, as if their body composition were being reformatted, and eventually transform into a box-like form suitable for virus production. The multiplied virus is compressed, metamorphosed into bullet shapes called 'Cysts', and ejected from the body. Individuals shot and wounded by these bullets are not only infected with the virus but skip the incubation period and immediately become fulminant cases. Humans who have awakened to Nen already have open micropores, so even normal infection leads to immediate fulminant symptoms.
It does not infect plants. Additionally, a 'Suppression Program' is incorporated to temporarily halt nanomachine activity; Quinn (the Main Body) can stop the nanomachines' functions by transmitting that signal via radio waves. There is no cure or method of removal.
Erosion Cyst Shot
Fires Cyst bullets from the Main Body's ovipositor. The nanomachine's cyst formation and egg-laying functions have been integrated, allowing eggs to be ejected as Cyst bullets. Furthermore, due to Chimera Ant characteristics incorporating the genetic information of the metallic plant that formed the Main Body's armor, individuals who become fulminant cases via her nanomachines turn into red, succulent plant-like metal crystals.
The egg itself plays the role of a carrier as a living entity, triggering fulminant symptoms the moment it lands on an enemy. Like a plant sprouting from a seed, it takes the shape of a cactus and takes root in the target's body. This allows the virus to be sent in efficiently.
However, due to toxins derived from the metallic plant, living things without resistance will die of poisoning regardless of the viral infection. Creatures that withstand the poison transform into a cactus shape, bloom flowers, and continue firing Cyst bullets from there until their life runs out.
Erosion Bud Shot (Cyst Burst)
By incorporating the metallic components contained in the shells of Magnetic Snails through phagogenesis, the user became able to create a railgun. Centered on the Main Body, aura is solidified with the Almeiza Machine to form a bud-shaped gun barrel (disposable). It requires several seconds to fire. Muzzle velocity is Mach 15, maximum range is 300km. The target point is annihilated along with the Cyst bullet by the impact of the landing, so there is no danger of spreading infection.
Cactus Gauntlet (Carbuncle)
Creates a cactus-like crystal structure to encase Quinn's fist, turning it into a glove. The spines of the cactus can be extended sharply to further increase offensive power.
Cactus Armor (Carbuncle Talisman)
Can be activated by being swallowed by the hallucination of 'self-hatred' generated by Malice Detection. It shapes the malice directed at oneself into armor using the power of the Almeiza Machine. Protecting the whole body with variable crystal structures enables various tactics. The armor covering the body surface acts as an exoskeleton, stopping the physical collapse caused by aura reinforcement and raising the reinforcement rate. When activated, Quinn enters a berserk state and becomes difficult to control.
Nen Removal
Since all aura serves as food for the nanomachines and can be crystallized, even Nen constructs with special abilities can be nullified upon contact. However, crystallizing Nen that has been embedded inside the body will cause physical damage.
Creative Applied Techniques & Special Martial Arts
Union (Synesthesia)
A technique that intentionally creates synesthesia by strengthening and linking the five senses. It significantly boosts intuition and detects enemy presence over a wide area. However, unlike En, it cannot be sustained continuously and can only be used in single bursts.
Weight
A technique that gathers the offensive and defensive power drawn from multiple eggs into Quinn's fist. If aura is likened to gasoline, offensive and defensive power is the explosive force created from that fuel itself. It momentarily exerts power exceeding Quinn's apparent aura quantity, but since the body collapses, repair via aura must be performed in parallel.
Light versions of 'Weight' are used on a daily basis.
Heavy Hard (Heavy Armor)
A technique that activates 'Weight' on various parts of the body simultaneously. If the total amount of offensive and defensive power a single human can handle is 100, Quinn can handle values like 200 or 300 by borrowing the offensive and defensive power of the eggs. By distributing this via Ryu, a state is created where Ko covers the entire body. However, since the amount of aura consumed for body repair skyrockets, there is a limit to the reinforcement.
Sun Leg (Yang Leg)
A Shingen-ryu physical technique. Through distinct footwork, the user feels ground vibrations and echoes through the soles of their feet, detecting the enemy's exact position without relying on sight.
Malice Detection
Detects malice directed from others. It is a sense possessed by all Nen users, but it became exceptionally sharp due to inheriting Katroi's spirituality. By linking with the five senses as synesthesia, malice can be perceived as a hallucination shaped like black smoke. This synesthesia cannot be controlled and remains in a constantly active state.
