Elena's message popped into her phone, the screen lighting up softly in her hand. Alina quickly looked around the living room out of instinct. The butler was the only one present after Lucas and Aizen had excused themselves earlier. As for Damian, he was still busy inside the kitchen, moving around as he prepared dinner.
Despite the intimacy they had shared earlier, Alina hadn't told Damian about the plan with Elena. A small uneasiness settled in her chest each time she thought about it. She was going to attend the golden party with a rival. It was obvious Damian wouldn't take her along if he knew the truth. In fact, he would most likely stop her completely.
