Chapter 117 - Team Seven #5

Konohagakure no Sato :

Konoha Archives :

The atmosphere in the room didn't just shift; it curdled. The air became heavy, ionized by the sudden, jagged spike of chakra radiating from the young Uchiha.

It was a word that carried the weight of a thousand corpses. It was the sound of blood hitting the floorboards of his childhood home. It was the silhouette of Itachi standing over the bodies of their parents, the moonlight filtering through the window to illuminate a betrayal so profound it had fractured Sasuke's soul.

Uchiha Sasuke, the last survivor of a decimated legacy, stood frozen as the word "Sharingan" echoed through the hall.

For him, the word and those eyes were a ghost that haunted his every waking hour and turned his dreams into a recurring nightmare of silver moonlight and the stench of his parents' blood.

When Sakamoto, the Vice Librarian, associated those eyes with a man like Hatake Kakashi, something inside Sasuke snapped.

To Sasuke, the world had narrowed into a tunnel of suffocating grief and white-hot static. The name "Sakamoto" blurred into the background, replaced by the ringing in his ears that always accompanied that word.

Sharingan.

Sasuke's movement was a blur of instinctual, unrefined speed. Before anyone could blink, his fingers had bunched into the fabric of Sakamoto's collar.

But this was the Archives.

The Konoha Archives was not merely a library; it was a monolith of stone and secrets, a silent sentinel guarding the accumulated wisdom and sins of a thousand shinobi. Every floorboard was reinforced with chakra-conductive seals; every archivist was a veteran whose eyes had seen more blood than ink.

This place is a secure place in Konoha , especially ready against spies or something similar , and every single person here is an elite shinobi , no less than chunin , they may hold genin or chunin ranks but this rank does not prove their prowess.

The response was not merely fast; it was surgical. Sakamoto, despite his administrative title and aging frame, was a man forged in the crucible of the Great Wars. Before Sasuke's fingers could even brush the man's vest, the world blurred.

*Thump*

In a single fluid motion, Sasuke found himself tasting the floor. His left hand was pinned beneath his own chest, and his right arm was twisted behind his back at an agonizing angle. Sakamoto sat atop him, his weight distributed with the cold precision of a man who had neutralized hundreds of insurgents.

"Kyaaa!" Sakura shrieked, her body paralyzing at the sight

The Grand Hall, once filled with the hushed whispers of scholars, became a vacuum of sound. Through his Kaguya Mind's Eye, Naruto sensed the shift instantly. Eight high-level chakra signatures converged:

four Jonin-level specialists took positions on the balconies above, and four more moved to seal the perimeter.

Naruto's MindHub skill flickered at the edge of his consciousness, analyzing the threat levels in milliseconds. He needed to de-escalate, but he had to do it calmly

"Sakamoto-san," Naruto's voice rang out, clear and devoid of panic. "His name is Uchiha Sasuke."

"…Huh?" Sakamoto grunted, his knee digging deeper into Sasuke's shoulder blades.

"You should understand his reaction to the mention of the Sharingan," Naruto added, his eyes narrowing.

Sakamoto's grip didn't loosen. Instead, a dark, toxic light flickered in his eyes. The name Uchiha didn't bring him back to reason; it dragged him back to his own trauma. He remembered his sister, who had stubbornly married into the Uchiha clan fifteen years ago.

Sakamoto remembered the haughty disdain that family had shown his own. He remembered the Kyuubi's Night—the crimson eyes reflecting in the pupils of the fox as it tore his world apart. Wife, child, friends—all gone. And finally, the massacre, where his own sister was gutted by a child of the same Uchiha house.

Sakamoto looked down at the boy pinned under his hand , but his hatred filled eyes already clouded his judgement , what he saw was just another Uchiha that had destroyed his life.

"Hoh," Sakamoto hissed, his voice dripping with vitriol. "So this is the pitiful survivor of that stupid clan? The one that got wiped out by a brat not even fifteen years old?"

Sasuke's body went rigid under the weight.

"Hehe," Sakamoto continued, his judgment entirely clouded by grief. "It seems your parents didn't teach you any manners. Ah, wait… they were gutted by your own brother, weren't they? What a pitiful thing."

Sakura looked horrified, her hands over her mouth. The silence in the hall was now heavy enough to crack the floorboards.

"Even the murderer of your family pitied you enough to let you live," Sakamoto sneered. "Did you think I would do the same? You arrogant Uchiha brat. Good riddance to the lot of you. How pathetic the whole fam—"

A massive, suffocating wave of chakra pressure slammed into the hall. It wasn't the wild, burning heat of the Nine-Tails; it was a vast, crushing cold—the weight of an ocean depths. Sakamoto took the absolute brunt of it.

"Arara-ra," a low, deep voice vibrated through the air.

Naruto had decided to step in. He allowed his internal gates to crack open, venting a fraction of his awakened bloodline's pressure. It was a display of power that would make even a veteran Jonin break out in a cold sweat.

The Grand Hall froze. Sakamoto felt a presence manifest in his blind spot—a shadow that hadn't been there a second ago. He looked up and saw Naruto standing behind him, his silhouette framed against the high windows like a force of nature.

"Excuse me, Sakamoto-san," Naruto said, his voice dropping into a chilling, bass-heavy register. "Could you step aside?"

Naruto's eyes were glowing with a faint, ethereal blue light. The air around him seemed to hum with static. Sakamoto's cloudy eyes finally cleared , Understanding the gravity of the situation, the archivist eased his grip and stood up, his hands raised in a wary gesture.

Sasuke scrambled to his feet, his face a mask of raw, bleeding shame. He didn't attack. He didn't even look back. The "Genius" of the Uchiha bolted toward the exit, his pride shattered by the humiliation of being pinned like a common thief—and worse, being saved by the "Dobe."

"Sasuke-kun! Wait!" Sakura cried out, chasing after him with the stamina of a marathon runner driven by pure desperation.

Sakamoto let out a shaky laugh, rubbing the back of his neck as his senses returned. "Hahah… sorry, sorry. Just instinct. Self-defense, you know?"

Naruto gave him a flat, unimpressed look—the kind of look one gives a child who has just broken a vase and claimed it was the wind.

Naruto bent down, picked up the Bingo Book that had fallen during the scuffle, and turned toward the door.

"I'll be taking this as an apology," Naruto said, waving the book over his shoulder as he walked away.

Sakamoto sighed, the weight of his actions finally settling in. He realized he had just assaulted a pitiful kid.

"SAKAMOTO!"

The sharp, wise voice of Miyura-sama, the Head Librarian, boomed from the upper balcony.

"…Miyura-sama," Sakamoto whispered, bowing his head.

"My office. NOW!"

As Sakamoto slunk away to face his reckoning, he muttered a final, bitter word under his breath: "Uchiha."

------------------------------------------

Naruto walked through the streets at a leisurely pace. His senses picked up Sakura's chakra signature buzzing around the commercial district like a frantic fly, lost and directionless. Sasuke's chakra, however, was moving steadily toward the outskirts—toward the Uchiha District.

Naruto gave the boy space. He wasn't interested in making a scene or forcing a confrontation.

AS for revenge or making a scene or something , That is not something the current naruto will do , The revenge can only be done by sasuke himself , If Sasuke have attacked or something then Naruto may have defended Sasuke as a Teammate , Rival and Good inheritor of will of fire .

( Afterall , Those who turn their backs on their friends are worse than trash ...heh )

Knowing the severness of the situation and Also Sasuke's obvious Intense reaction , Naruto nodded in his mind while going leisurely , Afterall most of the things did go according to his plan .

YES

Directing Sasuke to Konoha archives , getting reaction from him by Kakashi's or the Sharingan name , Naruto knew how sasuke will react , All this for a single reason as it would have been a perfect place and situation for Team Bonding .

Naruto didn't observe Third Hokage for Nothing these years .

Things would have gone perfect after that , once Sasuke calms down , everyone would read Itachi's profile in Bingo book , Sasuke will share his pain and will bond with team 7 , A beginning for the Bonds with A capable friend and also a good Nuisance ?.

Sakura will also feel sasuke's pain and will decide to take things seriously from now on , FOR Sasuke-Kun's sake of course .

Sasuke as an arrogant Uchiha will definetely not accept Kakashi , who has his clan's sharingan

just like in canon

And as long as , Naruto plays his hand right and help Sasuke in revenge against Itachi , who simply wants to die in Sasuke's hands.

Naruto looked at this investament with pure profit like bitcoin .

AS For Sakura , even after getting serious , the Banshee will also face reality and will soon understand that whether it's bukijutsu , Taijutsu , kenjutsu , ninjutsu and even genjutsu , not only is she not good at any of them but also nothing is helpful for sasuke-kun.

And that will be the time for Naruto to direct Sakura on the path of medical Nin , teaching her at first by himself and then even providing a path to the legedary Medical Saint Tsunade .

ANd Then

Both Ex Rank and S rank Rank assets will be secured .

But Naruto miscalculated Sakamoto's reaction

(Nothing goes perfectly in this cursed world,) Naruto mused.

Naruto walked , making a mental memo to avoid over-calculating like Danzo or Hiruzen. That path led to stagnation.

But Naruto still felt puzzeled at Sakamoto's reaction , It's not the first time they met , They were quite good acquintance , Naruto used his MindHub skill to think fast for this Cause , since Sasuke should have never met that man then the conclusion came soon

( The Uchiha were really hated .......well the Whole village was destroyed by Kyuubi with Sharingan )

Did the whole village really think the fox-demon as a responsible one for Kyuubi's night .

The answer was no

Even if it was , it was mostly quite a bit stupid civilians

But what about Shinobi's of the village ??

They definetly put the blame on Uchiha.

( it seems like Uchiha ending was already a foregone conclusion )

The Third Hokage kept things because of village's destruction , the need for the frontline Support and also Shisui and Itachi's potential ,but later he should have also let Danzo Loose.

Naruto walked slowly while making sure he didn't cross path with the pink banshee , who is buzzing around like a fly in his senses.

( Look at that marathon with full speed , she can really do it for Sasuke-kun )

As Naruto approached the Uchiha compound, the atmosphere shifted. The bustle of Konoha died away, replaced by the eerie, hollow silence of a graveyard.

(The Will of Fire… Comrades… heh,) Naruto thought as he jumped over the sealed perimeter fence.

Naruto looked at the empty storefronts and the silent houses. How many Uchiha had bled for this village in three world wars? How many orphans had they produced for the Leaf? And in the end, the "Will of Fire" had consumed them all, fueled by the paranoia of the elders and the betrayal of their own kin.

Naruto sensed a familiar, lazy chakra signature nearby along with his ANBU guards , Kakashi. The Jonin was perched on a rooftop, hidden by a cloaking jutsu, watching his students.

(He's been with us the whole time,) Naruto noted without letting anything show on his face

(Watching....... is he waiting for my reaction....NAKAMA/Comrades/Friends...hehe. What a joke.)

Consider Sasuke as true friend and comrade , but even Canon Naruto was treated like that despite his sincere and pure feelings of comradeship.

watching and remembering those episodes , naruto has only one thought

( .....stupidity .......and Gay )

Naruto finally reached the main Uchiha manor. Sasuke was standing in the courtyard, staring blankly at the dark wood of the sliding doors. He looked small, his posture slumped, his eyes devoid of the fire that usually defined him.

(Even after all that humiliation) Naruto observed. ( even after all of that , you still haven't awaken Sharingan ......damn )

Naruto didn't try to be "comforting." He knew Sasuke would find that insulting. Instead, he spoke softly, his voice cutting through the silence of the ghost town.

Hearing the footsteps Sasuke turned his head and looked at Naruto , not with surprise but with blank expression .

"The Bingo Book is technically a bounty ledger," Naruto said, not looking at Sasuke, but at the house.

Sasuke didn't move.

"It doesn't just contain enemy shinobi. It contains criminals, rogue ninjas, and S-rank threats. It lists their specialties, the jutsus they favor, the crimes they committed… and the last place they were sighted."

Sasuke's head turned slowly. A flicker of life returned to his dull eyes.

"You told me you want to kill a certain man," Naruto continued. "I thought the Bingo Book would be of help "

"..."

".... After all, the whole knows the S-rank traitor, Uchiha Itachi."

The mention of the name acted like a spark in a powder keg. Sasuke's vision locked onto the thick, black book in Naruto's hand.

" This should also have information Uchiha Itachi .......here catch"

Naruto tossed the heavy book. Sasuke caught it with reflexive ease, his fingers gripping the cover as if it were a holy relic.

Naruto didn't wait for a "thank you." He didn't wait for a conversation. He simply turned and began walking away, his boots echoing on the pavement.

Sasuke stood in the center of his ruined home, clutching the book to his chest. He watched Naruto's retreating back.

And for the first time in years , Sasuke's eyes looked at someone without clouded with hatred.
