Cassian's words kept ringing in my mind even as the night gradually faded into dawn.
"We have the rest of our lives to get as close as we need to. But that doesn't mean I will not try to get you to accept me sooner."
In other words, he plans to keep seducing me.
My hands flew to my face before I could stop them.
I haven't been around him long enough to be this affected. At least, that's what I keep telling myself.
I slowly lowered my hands and stared at the spot where he had slept all night. I had woken up in his arms without remembering how we ended up in such an intimate position.
My head had been pressed against his chest, his arm firmly wrapped around my waist. And to make it worse, I had snuggled closer in my sleep, as though drawn to his warmth.
"I think I'm losing my mind," I muttered, though the corner of my lips lifted faintly, taking solace in the fact we are married now.
He isn't a bad choice. I remember thinking that before I announced the engagement.
