Chapter 150 - 150: The Strongest Creature

Hancock looked at Rolan's face, her cheeks slightly flushed. "Husband, you've finally come."

Rolan simply nodded, reaching out to gently touch Hancock's head. His expression remained calm, almost unreadable.

Super Heart Net activated instinctively. He quickly assessed the battlefield and found his companions scattered across the island.

Holding Hancock, he instantly appeared beside Law with an Electromagnetic Instant Transmission. Law lay slumped, blood covering him, clearly severely injured. Yet, when he saw Rolan, a faint smile formed. "Captain… you finally came."

With a nod, Law activated his Ope-Ope no Mi powers, gathering everyone together.

Rolan scanned his companions; all bore injuries, but thankfully, none were in mortal danger. Considering what they had just endured, Rolan's respect for his team's strength increased.

"You've all fought well. Leave the rest to me."

Relief washed over the group. They had hoped to defeat Kaido using their own strength, but now they realized they had underestimated the strongest creature across land, sea, and air. Though they had made Kaido bleed, no substantial damage had been inflicted. Meanwhile, their combat power had been depleted by more than half.

If Rolan hadn't arrived, Sky Nation might have suffered, despite the battle being confined to this deserted island—a small victory in itself.

Nodding at Law, Rolan vanished in a blur.

Standing before the colossal minotaur, Rolan clicked his tongue quietly. Kaido's physique far surpassed his own, and even after repeated attacks from his allies, the aura of the Emperor remained almost untouched.

"Kaido, are you ready to die?"

Eliminating Kaido was an essential step in Rolan's plan. On the path to his dream, Kaido was the greatest unpredictable factor. His character alone made him a danger that could not be allowed to roam the world freely.

Kaido stared at Rolan, surprised. He had assumed the photos in newspapers and on wanted posters depicted only a younger version of Rolan, yet here stood a young man radiating a dormant, lion-like aura that stirred a craving for battle.

His life had always been spent fighting or preparing to fight. He never feared challenges and never retreated, forging the immense strength he now wielded.

"Rolan? I hope your strength matches your reputation."

Kaido condensed both Conqueror's Haki and Armament Haki around his club. Stomping the ground, he surged forward.

"Thunder Bagua!"

Though Rolan disdained Kaido's arrogance, he acknowledged the man's strength. Condensing Conqueror's Haki and Armament Haki around his right fist, he met Kaido head-on.

Red and black lightning wrapped Kaido's club, while purple-black energy engulfed Rolan's fist. When they collided, a shockwave erupted, cracking the earth beneath them and sending massive boulders flying. Mountains splintered around the impact, their aura tearing into the sky itself.

Kaido's long-lost grin spread—joy at finally meeting a worthy opponent.

Rolan's mind raced, evaluating the battle. Of the three Emperors he had faced, Kaido's strength was the most formidable. Even Whitebeard at his peak would have hesitated against him.

Withdrawing their Haki, Rolan stepped back four paces while Kaido retreated ten, laughing loudly.

"Orororororo, that was thrilling."

He recalled only one previous encounter that had felt similar—against Red-Haired Shanks—but even then, Shanks had made him retreat only slightly. This young Rolan had forced a larger response.

Rolan's brows furrowed. Clearly, Kaido exceeded his expectations. His own strength was slightly depleted from travel without sustenance, yet Kaido, wounded by continuous attacks, had still forced him back. He would need to recalibrate his strategy.

Rolan teleported instantly in midair, his hand blade wrapped in Electromagnetic energy and Armament Ryuo Haki. He slashed at Kaido's neck with lethal speed.

Kaido tilted his head just in time. The blade didn't decapitate him, but it cut half of his horn.

Rolan spun, condensing Conqueror's Haki into his right foot, and smashed it down onto Kaido's head.

Bang!

Kaido crashed into the ground, but rolled aside, rising once more. Blood streamed from his wounds, staining his face crimson. He gripped his club with both hands, wrapping it in Conqueror's Haki, and charged again.

"Great Flame Bagua!"

The speed was blistering. Rolan hastily blocked with a Haki-coated flip-flop, and the collision created a massive mushroom cloud. The uninhabited island split in half, seawater surging from the fissure.

Both combatants were thrown hundreds of meters, but Rolan teleported midair toward Kaido, who had not yet landed. A purple-blue Sword formed in his hand.

"Iai Slash!"

The blade carved a massive wound across Kaido's back, from left shoulder to right hip. Blood poured freely, yet Kaido ignored the injury, spinning and gripping his club to attack again.

Rolan's eyes narrowed. As expected of an Emperor… none are easy to face.

Electromagnetic Instant Transmission allowed him to vanish again, leaving Kaido's attack to smash the ground where he had stood. The blow tore another massive hole in the island.

Rolan landed dozens of meters ahead, breathing slightly ragged. Kaido, propped on his club, knelt amid wounds, eyes blazing with ferocity. For the first time, Kaido truly sensed the threat of death emanating from Rolan.

"Die, Bxtch!"

Suddenly, a voice boomed from above:

"Rolan!!!"
