Chapter 148 - 148: Kaido at Sky Nation

"What?!"

Hearing the news from Nami through the Transponder Snail, Rolan's mind raced. Not good!

He quickly asked, "Did Kaido do anything yet?"

"Zoro and the others are already there. They haven't started fighting yet," Nami replied calmly.

Rolan's brow furrowed. He wasn't in Sky Nation, and Kuro wasn't either. Stopping Kaido now would be difficult.

"Tell them to lure Kaido to uninhabited islands. I'll be there immediately!"

"Mm! Robin has already given those instructions," Nami responded.

Rolan hung up the Transponder Snail. Kuro looked at him, concerned. "What's wrong, Rolan?"

Crocodile and Enel also noticed his grim expression.

"Kaido has arrived in Sky Nation," Rolan said tersely.

"Nani?!" Crocodile's eyes widened. He hadn't expected Kaido to appear at this time. "What's his purpose here?"

Rolan didn't answer immediately. "I'll go ahead to Sky Nation. You all follow later. If you encounter any Beasts Pirates ships, sink them."

As soon as he finished speaking, Rolan's figure vanished from the ship.

Technically, Kuro could travel faster, but right now, the person best suited to confront Kaido was Rolan himself.

Enel frowned, unwilling. "Rolan is going to fight alone again?"

Kuro adjusted his glasses. "Didn't you hear him?"

Crocodile, understanding Rolan's intent, remained calm. Enel hesitated a moment, then nodded, realizing the plan.

With a sweep of his hand, a surge of electricity raced through the ship, propelling it forward. Rolan used his electromagnetic powers to enhance his Moonwalk, cutting through the air at incredible speed.

Though he moved with confidence, worry tugged at him. His companions were all formidable, but even they would lose against Kaido.

At Sky Nation's Min Island, an enormous humanoid figure stood at the center.

Black hair cascaded over his shoulders. Long dragon-like horns protruded from his head, his mustache resembled a dragon's whiskers, and a dragon-scale tattoo marked his left arm. His chest was bare, revealing a prominent 'X' scar on his right abdomen.

This was none other than Kaido of the Beasts—the strongest creature in the world of One Piece.

Surrounding him were Zoro, Lina, Nami, Hancock, Franky, and Law.

Kaido casually tossed the massive club in his hand. "Has Rolan not arrived yet? I grow impatient."

"Damn Kaido! What do you want with this concubine's husband?" Hancock spat, disdain radiating from her posture.

Kaido glanced at her, amused. "Boa Hancock, is Rolan truly your husband? If you fall, he should appear immediately, right?"

His tone was calm, almost trivializing the situation.

Franky's temper flared. Seeing Kaido threaten his friends, he surged with energy. "Strong Right!" Metal covered his arm, extending rapidly to strike Kaido.

Kaido smirked. "Then let's start with you. I hope you hold out until Rolan arrives!"

He clenched his club, channeling Haki into it, while shouting, "Thunder Bagua!"

The black club, crackling with purple lightning, smashed toward Franky.

Zoro and the others' expressions darkened, sensing the immense Haki emanating from the weapon. It surpassed even the aura of Big Mom they had encountered.

Zoro exchanged a glance with Law, who nodded.

"ROOM!" Law shouted, creating a massive circular space around them.

Zoro and Law moved instantly to Franky's side. Zoro's Ryugu glowed black as he wrapped it in Haki, and Law enveloped Kikoku similarly.

The club first collided with Franky's fist, sending him staggering, then slammed into the Haki-infused blades of Zoro and Law.

Bang!

Law's eyes widened. "This power… it's insane."

After a brief stalemate, the three were blasted across the sky like meteors, crashing through mountains before finally coming to rest.

Lina's eyes blazed. "Did you even try?" She transformed her right hand into a massive flaming fist.

"Fire Fist!"

The blazing fist struck Kaido's chest with a thunderous impact.

Bang!

Flames erupted, but Kaido's sheer resilience sent him flying into a nearby stone mountain, kicking up a cloud of dust.

Lina shook her hand in frustration. "Such a hard body!"

Kaido's voice rumbled from the dust. "Wororororo, Rolan's subordinates aren't bad."

Zoro, Law, and Franky regrouped beside Lina, looking at the cloud of dust, solemn expressions on their faces.

To them, Kaido was unscathed.

"This is the strength of a Four Emperors. Terrifying as expected," Zoro muttered, gripping his sword tighter. He realized the title wasn't just for show. Facing this power made his blood boil with excitement.

Franky shared the thrill, equally eager. Law, despite suffering slight injuries, refused to retreat. This battle was a test, a chance to grow stronger and inch closer to his goal of revenge.

Zoro tied his dark green headband around his forehead, drawing Wado Ichimonji.

He addressed his comrades. "If we defeat Kaido here, we get closer to our dreams, right?"

Franky and Law nodded, determination sparking in their eyes.

Kaido stepped from the smoke, his massive figure looming over them. "Wororororo, good momentum. I hope this will be fun for me."
