I froze looking at the quest, I've been feeling everything was easy lately, that I forgot the promise I've made to myself.
I looked at Val's smiling face, even though he was framed by those elders he didn't hold the grudge.
I shook my head, "you're too good for this world Val"
He tilted his head at me and my smile widened even more, then I looked towards the girls, telling them gently to let me off for a moment.
I tensed my legs and before I ran, I looked back "I will be back for a moment, I've something to do" then I rushed back to the tribe.
Then I saw them, the same elders who framed my brother, Sided with Rax who attacked my loved one, trying to run from the forest.
And the bigger problem was them trying to run with the tribe's food and money.
I gritted my teeth, "Rats!
No, rats are even better than them!"
My face reddened, and I accelerated even more towards them.
A gust of wind brushed one of the elders, and he stopped, only to see me standing in front of him.
I didn't bother to hear his explanation, I just kicked him dead.
Seeing that, all the elders stopped and knelt on their knees, begging for forgiveness; some even claimed they had children.
But my hesitation vanished as soon as Kalia's words reached me. "They are lying, Ragnar. None of them cared about their kids, they even disowned them."
Hearing it, my eyes lit with cold vengeance, and I continued killing them.
Looking at the pool of blood forming under me, I wiped my hands.
[Ding!]
[Congratulations: Cloak of concealment (basic)]
I ignored the notification and walked back to the girls.
There stood Kalia, checking the goods they tried to run away with, and Sarah was counting their numbers to see if any of them had managed to escape.
Aria was patrolling the area, looking for any of Rax's remaining lackeys.
As soon as they saw me walking back to them, they relaxed, showing rare smiles.
"So, where should we live now?" Aria said, looking at me.
Kalia chimed in, "Of course it's the chief's village hut."
Sarah looked weirdly at her mother, because she seemed fixated on the idea that I was now the village chief.
But the idea soon vanished from her head, replaced by something even more important.
"He hasn't chosen his wife yet!"
All three women looked at me simultaneously. Feeling the pressure increase on me even more, I smiled wryly.
Killing Rax had been so easy, yet I was having my hardest time now confronting them.
Aria walked to the hut, saying to me, "I'm waiting for you to join me for our sleep. Don't take too long."
Hearing the word "our," Sarah looked between the two of us, her mouth hanging open and her eyes wide. "Guys, are you sleeping together?"
Kalia looked at me with hot eyes, the kind that said she wanted to continue this morning activity.
Seeing that, I rubbed the back of my head and gestured to the back.
"It seems I saw an elder sneaking away. I'm going to take a look."
Running from the place, the cold night wind brushed my face, sobering me a little.
I slowed my movements and enjoyed the night breeze.
As I kept walking, I suddenly heard movement in the bushes I passed.
Stopping, I changed my destination and walked slowly toward the bush the sound came from.
Until…
Pow!
A white rabbit with red eyes jumped out of the bushes.
It was the cutest creature I had ever met since coming here.
"Are you hungry, little one?" I said, crouching slightly and reaching into my pocket.
I took some bread and kept feeding him.
The rabbit made a cute sound and jumped around me, rubbing itself on my legs lovingly.
Me ever weak to cuteness, I took critical damage and reached down to lift him up.
After a moment of thinking, I chose to take it back with me.
While I was walking back to the tribe, I remembered something, I needed to tell Aria and the women about him. They would like such a cute rabbit, right?
It didn't take long and we reached the hut. And there I found all the women sitting in the living room, and usually enough, no one was fighting.
Seeing it was the best moment to introduce the rabbit, I lifted it and declared.
"Hey, look what I found outside. I want to keep this rabbit. Do you all agree?"
Kalia stopped for a moment then nodded.
She didn't bother at all, after all, she herself was weak to cute animals.
Sarah agreed, jumping happily. She took the rabbit and rubbed him on herself like soap.
But surprisingly, Aria kept looking at the rabbit with caution. Almost as if she didn't want it here.
"What's wrong, Aria? Is everything fine?"
Hearing my question, Aria snapped from her thoughts and replied absentmindedly, "Nothing. It's just that this rabbit seems…weird?"
I looked at her, "how weird, please explain?"
She rubbed her chin, "I don't know how to put it in words it just this rabbit seems oddly relaxed?"
I froze, she was right. That rabbit was oddly cooperating…
We all stopped and looked at the rabbit and he played on the table.
He was jumping energetically from one place to another, clearly enjoying his time.
"Ahem, it's already too late Aria, look at this cute thing, my heart can't afford throwing it away"
Aria hesitated for a moment, then sighed, "you know, I wasn't against him staying here, he can stay"
The room mood seemed to ease down.
Aria rubbed the back of her head, "anyway, I'm going now preparing dinner"
It was both because she was the best cook here and because I personally told her I liked her cooking.
As everyone kept busy with their tasks, suddenly the rabbit froze, and checked around him, left and right.
Seeing no one notice him, he jumped slowly towards the window.
Seeing the window open the rabbit sighed with relief, and with one swift jump, he went through it. Landing outside.
He continued jumping until he was a safe distance from the hut, then his body started shaking.
With a puff of smoke, what was originally a cute rabbit became a curvy woman with rabbit ears.

3rd POV
The woman hid behind a tree, looking at Ragnar's profile as he helped with the tribe rebuilding.
After all, the elders damaged the village when they tried to run, trying to erase "evidences"
Her red eyes followed him, filled with deep feelings.
"Finally after 19 years, we're reunited back my childhood friend, Ragnar"
"Even though my arrival would bring problems to you, I don't regret it.
Because this time I'm strong enough to "protect" you"
She smiled, holding her cheek obsessedly, her eyes gleaming with red light.
Meanwhile, Ragnar, who was helping with construction, stopped seeing the system notification.
[Warning: demi-god class is spying on the host.]
Ragnar's heart felt reading the words.
