Chapter 169 - Chapter 168 Captain America VS Captain America

The moment the card appeared in Hawkeye Barton's hand, relevant information about the body attribute enhancement card also appeared in his mind.

As the card's name suggested, this card could enhance a person's body attributes.

It divided a person's body attributes into five categories: speed, strength, resistance, mental power, and physical toughness.

Hawkeye Barton could use this card to randomly improve one of his five major attributes by ten percent.

This was a significant increase, and Hawkeye Barton was quite satisfied with it.

As for which attribute to enhance, after some deliberation, Barton chose to boost his speed.

After all, for a long-range profession like an archer, good mobility could greatly enhance their overall strength.

Of course, Hawkeye Barton was not merely a simple archer; his close combat abilities were also excellent, definitely on par with a top-tier agent.

He even managed to suppress Black Widow to the point of breathlessness during their fight when he was under Loki's mind control, proving his close combat skills were no less than hers.

But an increase in speed also provided a significant boost to close combat abilities.

Overall, this was a worthwhile enhancement.

Hawkeye Barton immediately made his choice and used the attribute enhancement card, opting to boost his speed attribute.

Whoosh!

A flash of light immediately burst from the attribute enhancement card, shooting into Hawkeye Barton's body and then disappearing.

Hawkeye Barton immediately felt a corresponding change in his body.

Although he hadn't tested it yet, he already knew that his speed had indeed increased by ten percent.

"Not bad," Barton nodded with satisfaction. "My current speed is much faster than before. If it were now, I don't think I would have been injured by that bunker again."

The speed enhancement was nothing major, and besides, the name of the reward clearly indicated its function, so Hawkeye Barton didn't hide it from Loki.

He informed everyone present about the specific effects.

"An excellent reward, Barton! You're now the ace of aces," Nick Fury praised, equally satisfied.

"[End of Q&A, now playing answer analysis!]"

Soon, the text on the large screen disappeared, and a new video appeared before everyone.

Accompanied by a flurry of footsteps, a group of figures appeared before everyone, walking forward in the lobby of a large building.

Although the group of people had not yet shown their faces, everyone still recognized their identities: it was Tony Stark, Thor, and Loki.

Along with several other fully armed special forces members.

"This is Stark Tower!"

Others hadn't recognized where this place was, but Tony Stark immediately did.

It was his own property, so naturally, he was as familiar with it as could be.

This made everyone present curious: why were Thor, Loki, and so many special forces members appearing inside Stark Tower?

However, something even more curious happened next.

Another special forces member was patrolling at the building's front desk. As Thor and the others walked past, that guy turned his face.

What the hell?

Everyone present looked utterly bewildered because that special forces member was actually Tony Stark!

But Tony Stark had just left with Thor and the others!

There were two Tony Starks!

What the heck!

Wasn't this question supposed to be about the battle between two Captain Americas? Yet, Captain America hadn't even appeared, and two Tony Starks showed up first.

It's a mess, a mess!

It was utterly chaotic, leaving everyone extremely confused.

"Thumbelina, do you copy? I see the target," the Special Forces-Tony Stark immediately said into the comms channel, looking in the direction where Tony Stark and the others had left. "You can go!"

"Start the bombing!"

Thumbelina's response immediately came through the comms channel.

Next, everyone saw that in the hair of the Tony Stark in front, a person was hiding, who then jumped down Tony Stark's face and plunged into Tony Stark's beard.

After Tony Stark scratched him twice, he then slipped down a seam in Tony Stark's clothes and dropped onto Tony Stark's chest.

"Are there people this small in Midgard?" Loki's face immediately showed a thoughtful expression.

According to his understanding, people on Midgard shouldn't be this mini, right?

"It's Scott Lang, the second Ant-Man!"

Black Widow said with a hint of surprise.

Scott Lang had appeared during the Civil War, where he fought alongside Captain America against Iron Man. She hadn't expected him to be working with Tony Stark now.

Clang!

A faint metallic tremor sounded as Scott Lang, now ant-sized, landed on the Arc Reactor on Tony Stark's chest.

"Is that AXE body spray?" Scott Lang even had the presence of mind to think about such things at this moment.

"Yes, I always keep a can on my desk for emergencies. Relax, can you focus?" The Special Forces-Tony Stark said, a bit speechless.

"I'm going inside you!" Scott Lang declared, then rapidly shrunk again, actually entering the Arc Reactor through its crevices.

"So this is a person who can change their body size!" Loki exclaimed with extreme curiosity, truly wondering how the other party managed it.

It didn't look like magic at all.

Thump-thump-thump!

Footsteps approached, and at that moment, Pierce appeared with a group of people, blocking the path of Tony Stark, Thor, and Loki.

It was only then that everyone noticed Loki had shackles on his hands and even a muzzle on his mouth!

"What?" Loki's brows immediately furrowed.

He glanced at the restraints on his hands, utterly speechless. He had just been captured, and now he was seeing himself being captured again in the future?

What the hell?

Was it an addiction?

"Excuse me, may I ask where you're going?" Pierce directly asked Tony Stark, Thor, and the others.

"First to eat, then back to Asgard," Thor said with a hint of confusion. "Excuse me, who are you?"

"Alexander Pierce," Tony Stark began to introduce to Thor, "He's Nick Fury's boss."

"My friends call me Mr. Secretary. I now demand that you hand over that prisoner to me," Pierce said to Thor and the others in a commanding tone.

"Loki will answer to Odin."

"No, he will answer to us. We will interrogate him first, then it will be Odin's turn. Also, I need that box. It has been S.H.I.E.L.D. property for seventy years."

Pierce said to Thor and the others, not mincing his words.

"Who does he think he is?" Loki, present in the audience, immediately scoffed, a hint of murderous intent in his voice.

Calling him a prisoner repeatedly and placing himself above Odin—wasn't that a bit too arrogant?

"Pierce? You discussed him earlier, isn't he your enemy? If I help you kill him, I don't suppose you'd mind, would you?"

Loki then seriously proposed to everyone present.

"We'll handle Pierce; you don't need to worry about it," Nick Fury said coldly to Loki.

"Hand over the box, Stark!"

On the screen, Pierce's men began to directly engage, starting to wrestle with Tony Stark for the box.

"Alright, go, Stuart Little! Things are getting a bit tricky here, hurry!"

Seeing this, the Special Forces-Tony Stark immediately spoke to Scott Lang again in the comms channel.

"Are you sure you won't die?"

Scott Lang asked for confirmation from inside Tony Stark's Arc Reactor.

"We just need to give me a slight arrhythmia," the Special Forces-Tony Stark explained to Scott Lang.

"That sounds pretty violent!" Scott Lang complained, then wrapped his hands around one of the "wires" and yanked it hard.

Crack!

He directly snapped the wire.

Crackle!

The Arc Reactor on Tony Stark's chest flashed violently and then went out.

Tony Stark's body jolted fiercely, as if struck by lightning, and he collapsed to the ground, convulsing.

The box in his hand naturally fell to the ground.

However, at this moment, everyone's attention was completely drawn to Tony Stark, and no one noticed the box.

Scott Lang seized the opportunity to crawl out of Tony Stark's sleeve, performed a few graceful somersaults on the ground, and then kicked the box hard.

The box immediately slid towards the Special Forces-Tony Stark.

The Special Forces-Tony Stark grabbed the box and quickly walked towards the stairwell, saying in a relaxed voice into the comms channel as he walked: "Good job, see you in the alley, I'm going to grab a bite!"

As the video played to this point, everyone finally began to understand some of the clues.

Clearly, this operation by the second Ant-Man, Scott Lang, and the Special Forces-Tony Stark, was aimed at that box.

Everyone's curiosity reached a peak: what exactly was inside that box?

Was it worth so many people going to such great lengths to snatch it?

Bang!

At this moment, a loud bang suddenly rang out, attracting everyone's attention.

Just as the Special Forces-Tony Stark arrived at the stairwell, the door to the stairwell was suddenly smashed open by a powerful force.

The Special Forces-Tony Stark himself was knocked over, and the box in his hand flew out.

"I hate stairs!"

Hulk then emerged from the door, roaring furiously at his surroundings.

It could only be said that the Special Forces-Tony Stark had terrible luck, encountering the historically most irritable big brother, Hulk.

Clang!

The box immediately broke open, and its contents slid out, rolling a long distance across the floor.

What they saw was a shimmering object, radiating a beautiful yet profound blue light—it was none other than the Tesseract, which Loki was currently trying to steal!

This outcome was somewhat unexpected for everyone.

After all, the Tesseract was currently still safely inside the base, a S.H.I.E.L.D. item. Who would have thought there would be so many twists and turns in the future?

As everyone watched, the cube slid all the way to the feet of the captive Loki, who picked it up.

Buzz!

Then, Loki did something unknown, and a ball of energy flashed from the Tesseract, engulfing Loki's figure, and Loki directly disappeared.

Whoosh!

Everyone present instinctively glanced at Loki with extreme vigilance.

They made an even stronger decision in their hearts: no matter what, Loki must not be allowed to touch the Tesseract, or even get close to it!

That would be an extremely dangerous thing.

Meanwhile, Loki in the audience was somewhat curious, with a faint sense of anticipation. Directly controlling the Tesseract like in the video was something he couldn't do now.

It seemed he would improve in the future.

On the large screen, the video continued.

A group of people frantically gathered around Tony Stark, and finally, it was Thor's series of flashy moves that restored Tony Stark to normal.

It was only then that everyone discovered a crucial problem: the box was gone, and Loki was gone too.

"Where's Loki?" Thor asked, looking bewildered at everyone around him.

At this point, the camera cut.

Captain America was seen carrying a box, emerging from an elevator.

As the elevator's metal doors slowly closed, the figures of some people inside the metal doors appeared fleetingly before everyone: they were Sitwell, Crossbones, and others.

Everyone immediately recognized that this video segment continued from the previous one where Captain America shouted "Hail Hydra" to trick them into giving him the Scepter.

Captain America, with a look of successful joy on his face, walked forward with the box.

"What's going on, Tony? Tell me you found the Tesseract," Captain America asked into the comms channel as he walked, but then he looked up and froze.

"Are you kidding me!" Captain America couldn't help but curse under his breath.

Before Captain America, another Captain America had appeared!

An interesting scene unfolded: two identical people met on the skybridge.

The only difference between the two was that the newly appeared Captain America wore a cowl on his head; otherwise, they were identical.

"I found Loki, on the 14th floor!" The Cowled-Captain America immediately said into the comms channel.

"I'm not Loki!" Captain America immediately explained to the Cowled-Captain America, setting down the box he was carrying. "I don't want to hurt you either!"

But undoubtedly, the Cowled-Captain America didn't believe Captain America's words at all and charged forward with his shield.

The two Captain Americas then engaged in a fierce battle, back and forth.
