Chapter 166 - Chapter 165 Black Widow: The Green Fatty is interested in me?

"Everyone."

Loki, who had been quiet on the side, spoke up weakly, "You've been analyzing this and that, but why haven't you analyzed Thor?"

Thor, the God of Thunder?

Everyone present exchanged glances, seeing the same thought in each other's eyes: Thor is impossible!

This was the subconscious, default consensus of everyone present, which was why no one had mentioned Thor until now.

But since Loki brought it up, everyone decided to take the opportunity to analyze Thor as well.

After all, the idea that Thor couldn't make the Hulk return to normal was just everyone's preconceived notion.

"I don't think Thor can do it," Tony Stark immediately expressed his opinion. "Although he's a god, it seems like he can't do anything other than swing his hammer, can he?"

"Tin man, you hit the nail on the head!" Loki slapped his hand, his eyes shining as he pointed at Tony Stark.

"It seems you all know that Thor is just a brute who only knows how to use brute force; he only uses his hammer to smash everything!"

"Although his muscles aren't as developed as the Hulk's, his rage is comparable to that big guy's; he's always angry."

"Thor only messes things up, he never accomplishes anything!"

Loki began to mercilessly criticize and attack Thor in front of everyone.

Everyone: "…"

They finally understood: Loki wasn't answering the question at all; he was deliberately looking for an opportunity to belittle Thor, wasn't he?

However, regardless, everyone exchanged opinions, and Thor was unanimously excluded.

Although Loki exaggerated a bit, it was true to some extent.

Thor didn't like to use his brain and preferred to act impulsively. No one could see any possibility of Thor making the Hulk return to normal.

"So what should we do about this question? The only one we can exclude now is Thor, right?" Hawkeye Barton shrugged, asking for everyone's opinion.

"Everyone,

Do you remember the rule I told you about? If Thor appears in an option, never choose it!" Tony Stark said, his eyes sparkling, "This is a truth derived from practice!"

"There's such a rule, Tin Man?" Loki's eyes also lit up. "It seems you're a wise fellow to have discovered this."

Everyone was speechless.

As long as Thor was belittled, Loki couldn't help but get excited. How much affection did this guy lack?

How did Odin and Frigga treat their son normally? Wasn't their favoritism a bit too much?

"It seems we can only do this now," Captain America nodded seriously. "Romanoff, or General Ross, choose one."

In fact, the reasons behind both General Ross and Black Widow were somewhat far-fetched.

But there was no other way; even if their reasons were far-fetched, at least they had some, which was better than Thor having no reason at all.

"Based on past experience, when we encounter such an unresolvable situation, it's possible we've overlooked some details."

Tony Stark said in a deep voice, addressing everyone, "Let's think carefully again and see if we've missed anything crucial."

Following Tony Stark's words, the scene fell silent for a moment, and everyone began to re-examine the question from the beginning, one by one.

Not letting go of a single detail.

"Everyone, I think we really overlooked something," Black Widow stared at the question for a moment, as if she had discovered something. "The 'lullaby' in the question stem, haven't we analyzed it at all?"

Lullaby?

These three words were just a descriptive prefix, and no one had paid much attention to them.

But now that Black Widow specifically pointed them out, everyone also noticed that these three words seemed to convey some meaning.

"Lullaby? Is this telling us that the phrase 'the sun's getting low' is actually a form of hypnosis for the Hulk?"

Hawkeye Barton keenly grasped some key points. "Otherwise, why would this phrase be called a lullaby?"

"That makes sense!" Nick Fury pondered for a moment and then nodded. "Hypnosis is actually a form of psychological suggestion, involving psychology, not magic or anything like that. So our initial choice of Doctor Strange because of magic was wrong!"

"Exactly! Hypnosis, psychological suggestion," Tony Stark also chimed in. "We've seen in movies how certain methods can influence a person's subconscious, making them enter specific memories… In short, it's a similar method."

"Although we don't know what kind of memories they are, they must be something that can make the agitated Hulk feel calm and peaceful—something beautiful," Black Widow added. "That's why the Hulk quieted down."

"Then why does this hypnosis only work when used by a specific person?" Tony Stark sharply added, asking.

This question could be said to have hit the nail on the head; by digging a little deeper, a breakthrough could be made.

"That's because… that beautiful thing can only be awakened by that person! It should be something beautiful that the Hulk—no, rather, Dr. Banner—experienced with that person!"

Black Widow said again.

Everyone's eyes gradually brightened. With the analysis reaching this point, the answer was slowly appearing before their eyes.

"Regardless of who that person is, and regardless of what that beautiful thing is, it must satisfy two conditions."

Nick Fury analyzed, following Tony Stark and Black Widow's analysis, "First, that person must have sufficient interaction with Dr. Banner, having experienced something together, leading to an emotional connection with Dr. Banner."

"Second, that emotional interaction must be beautiful and positive!"

"Everyone, based on these two points, I think we can make a judgment."

"The director is right," Hawkeye Barton nodded. "General Ross has dedicated his life to capturing the Hulk; he only brought nightmares to Dr. Banner!"

"Thor isn't even from Earth, and his opportunities to interact with Dr. Banner are relatively few, so the possibility of developing any emotional connection with Dr. Banner is also small."

"If either of them is gay, then disregard what I just said."

"The only one who fits the requirements is Natasha."

"We all know that Dr. Banner will also be a member of the Avengers in the future, and he's Natasha's colleague. They'll have opportunities to carry out missions together, and perhaps some emotional connection will develop during that process."

"Barton, are you saying that Dr. Banner will fall in love with me in the future?" Black Widow glanced at Hawkeye Barton and asked calmly.

"I didn't say that, the answering system did," Hawkeye Barton shrugged. "It's not a bad thing, is it?"

Black Widow spread her hands, noncommittal.

Next, everyone discussed who would answer the question, and ultimately the spot fell to Captain America.

Although neither Captain America nor Hawkeye Barton particularly liked using guns, when compared, this skill would be more valuable in Captain America's hands.

After all, Hawkeye's bow and arrows were essentially firearms, and in many ways, even surpassed them.

In other words, Hawkeye had long-range attack capabilities.

But Captain America did not.

Admittedly, Captain America could throw his shield to attack enemies, but in terms of long-range attacks, the shield was too inefficient and too limited, not a true long-range attack.

The Arc Shot skill, to some extent, compensated for this shortcoming.

"I choose B, Black Widow!" Captain America didn't refuse and gave his answer to the big screen.

"Correct answer!"

"Congratulations to the answerer, Steve Rogers, for receiving the reward skill: Arc Shot!"

"The reward has been distributed, please check it!"

A series of notification sounds rang out, and Captain America immediately felt as if something had been added to his body, then returned to normal.

The added thing was, without a doubt, the Arc Shot skill.

"Arc Shot, is it what I imagine, a skill that can fire curved projectiles?" Hawkeye Barton couldn't help but ask from the side.

This skill wasn't a big deal; even if the information was leaked to Loki, it wouldn't matter at all.

"That's right," Captain America nodded. "Simply put, this is a skill to fire curved bullets."

"I think if this skill could be used with a shield, it would be even more suitable," Black Widow quipped from the side.

However, unfortunately, this skill was "Arc Shot," clearly a type of gunnery.

"Question answered. Now playing the answer analysis."

After a brief discussion, the corresponding video began to appear on the big screen.

First to catch everyone's eyes was a very dim space, with two people, a man and a woman, appearing on the big screen.

"It's the Scarlet Witch!"

Everyone present couldn't help but be moved.

Up to this point, the Scarlet Witch had appeared many times in the answering system, leaving a very deep impression on everyone.

Standing beside the Scarlet Witch was naturally her brother, Quicksilver, although no one currently knew Quicksilver's identity for sure.

But even so, no one dared to underestimate Quicksilver, because everyone knew he was a very fast man.

And his strength was also very formidable.

"Report to base immediately, this is not a drill!"

The broadcast echoed throughout the scene, filled with solemnity, "We are under attack!"

At this point, the camera began to switch.

The scene shifted to a forest.

Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh!

The deafening sound of artillery fire immediately erupted.

An infantry fighting vehicle was seen crashing through the forest, with Black Widow driving it, crushing forward with unmatched dominance, while Hawkeye Barton stood on the vehicle, continuously firing arrows at the enemies.

It was truly a scene of intense artillery fire and pervasive smoke, a fierce battle.

At this moment, another infantry fighting vehicle chased after them. An enemy on it aimed an energy gun, intending to shoot at Black Widow's vehicle.

Whoosh!

But at this moment, a figure descended from the sky, slamming heavily onto the enemy's vehicle, and in a few quick moves, knocked all the enemies down.

It was Thor, the God of Thunder.

"Thor!"

Loki recognized his dear brother at a glance and couldn't help but feel surprised. "When did he become so concerned about Midgard?"

Thor had fought countless battles across the Nine Realms, but he had never intervened in Midgard's wars!

Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh!

After knocking down the enemies on the vehicle, Thor swung his hammer and flew into the air, quickly reaching a fortress not far ahead, and easily eliminated all the enemies on that fortress as well.

Next, Captain America appeared, riding a motorcycle, weaving through the forest, his shield flying back and forth like a frisbee.

He launched a fierce attack on the enemies.

The Hulk, needless to say, was simply a human tank, wantonly crushing and destroying everything on the battlefield.

Armored vehicles, fortresses, and other such things were all mercilessly destroyed by him.

An incredibly fierce war was thus presented before everyone's eyes.

The participants were Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, Black Widow, Hawkeye, and the Hulk—six individuals. The currently known clues indicate that all six of them will be members of the Avengers in the future.

And this war, as the question clearly stated, was the Avengers attacking a secret base.

Everyone present was still quite curious about what kind of base it was.

Whoosh!

On the screen.

The camera flashed, and Iron Man was seen spraying several dazzling tongues of flame, flying at high speed over the forest, quickly reaching the sky above a base.

Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh!

From various corners of the base, one energy attack after another began to be fired at Iron Man, but he dodged them all with a display of skill.

Thud!

But who would have thought that in the next moment, Iron Man would violently crash into something, making him stagger.

It turned out that Iron Man was too close to the wall, and a layer of energy shield suddenly sprang up from the base, catching Iron Man off guard.

"Damn it!" Iron Man couldn't help but curse under his breath.

"Watch your language!" Captain America, riding his motorcycle, first grumbled on the comms channel before asking, "J.A.R.V.I.S., what's the situation upstairs?"

"The central structure is protected by some kind of energy shield! Strucker's technology is far better than any Hydra base we've destroyed before!"

J.A.R.V.I.S.'s voice rang out.

Hydra base!

Everyone's hearts stirred slightly. No one had expected that the base the Avengers were attacking this time was actually a Hydra base.

With that, everyone had a basic understanding of the timeline of these events.

That should be after Black Widow released all the data online, revealing all of Hydra's secrets to the public.
