Nick Fury immediately knew that the huge energy Coulson detected was definitely not something ordinary.
"Go on!" Nick Fury said to Coulson in a deep voice.
"We arrived at the scene and found nothing, but we did find a mysterious symbol on the ground. The language expert is still on the way. I'll send you the photos from the scene."
As Coulson spoke, several images immediately flashed across the computer screen in front of Nick Fury.
Thor's eyes lit up with excitement at the sight.
He pointed at the computer screen and exclaimed, "That's the mark left by the Rainbow Bridge's teleportation! Someone from Asgard has been teleported to Earth!"
Nick Fury's expression tightened slightly.
Asgard was a divine realm; no matter who came, it posed a huge threat to Earth.
If it was someone like Thor, it would be fine, but if it was someone like Loki, then it would truly be deadly.
"Someone from Asgard has come to Earth again?" Coulson also heard Thor's words and recalled something. "When we arrived at the scene, we asked some nearby residents if they had noticed anything strange or unusual."
"Someone said they saw four people in armor appear. I originally thought they were actors on a set or at a carnival, but now it seems it must be them."
"Are the four people in armor three men and one woman?" Thor suddenly remembered something and shouted into the phone.
"Yes, Thor, do you know who they are?"
"Yes! It's them, they're my best friends!" Thor excitedly slapped his thigh.
After hearing Thor's words, Nick Fury and Coulson on the other end of the line both let out a long sigh of relief.
Thor's friends, that made things much easier.
"Coulson, lead your men, find Thor's friends, and bring them here." Nick Fury ordered Coulson.
"Understood, sir!"
Coulson responded.
But suddenly, he saw that the clear, cloudless sky had abruptly become stormy.
A large patch of dark clouds covered the city's sky in just one minute, casting the entire city into shadow.
Not only that.
The large patch of dark clouds also began to spin rapidly, forming a giant vortex like a tornado.
However, the "tornado" was surrounded by dense dark clouds, and what was inside was completely unclear from the outside.
The black cloud tornado went straight through the sky, piercing down from the heavens to the ground, connecting heaven and earth.
It was unclear whether it was a coincidence or another mystery, but the place where the black cloud tornado connected was precisely the Rainbow Bridge's teleportation mark on the ground!
"Sir, we have a new situation here!"
Coulson immediately said to Nick Fury in a deep voice, "I think someone else from Asgard must have been teleported here."
At this point, Coulson turned on his camera and started a video call with Nick Fury.
The scene appeared on Nick Fury's phone screen.
"No, this isn't the Rainbow Bridge's teleportation!"
Thor shook his head repeatedly at the sight, his face even turning a little grim. "This looks like—no, no, no, it can't be."
"Thor, what exactly is going on?" Nick Fury had an extremely bad feeling when he saw Thor's expression.
He couldn't help but ask in a deep voice.
At this moment, the black cloud tornado dissipated, and a colossal robot, about three or four meters tall, appeared on the phone screen.
"No, no, no! It's the Destroyer! It really is the Destroyer! Coulson, get out of there quickly!" Thor shouted at Coulson.
"The Destroyer? What is this thing, Thor?" Nick Fury asked Thor in a deep voice.
"He is Asgard's most powerful ultimate weapon. Earthlings can't deal with him. He will destroy everything!"
Thor said with a grim expression.
"Coulson, did you hear that?" Nick Fury said to Coulson with a grim face, "This is downtown New York! Stop that thing at all costs! I'm on my way!"
"Understood, sir!"
Upon receiving the order, Coulson immediately pulled out his gun without hesitation, chambering a round, "I am S.H.I.E.L.D..."
Coulson had only spoken halfway when the Destroyer's face opened up and began to glow intensely.
A terrifyingly hot beam of light immediately shot out towards Coulson.
Fortunately, after being enhanced by the T-virus, Coulson's physical fitness far surpassed that of ordinary people. He moved like a cheetah, swiftly dodging the attack.
A deep gully was immediately carved into the ground by the Destroyer's blast.
"Fire!"
Bang bang bang bang!
At Coulson's command, all the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents at the scene mercilessly pulled their triggers on the Destroyer.
Clang, clang, clang!
Sparks flew from the Destroyer's body, but it had no effect whatsoever.
Hiss!
Hiss!
Hiss!
The Destroyer wantonly attacked the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents, and one car after another exploded around them, while gullies continuously appeared on the ground.
Ah ah ah!
Residents on the surrounding streets, in shops on both sides, on the roads, and so on, were all scared stiff.
Screams immediately erupted.
The scene instantly devolved into chaos.
While Coulson and his team struggled to resist the Destroyer, Nick Fury immediately contacted Tony Stark: "Stark, I need your help."
"That big guy near S.H.I.E.L.D.?" Tony Stark was very reliable in critical moments; he already knew what had happened. "I'm already in the air!"
"Stark, that thing is Asgard's ultimate weapon, the Destroyer!" Nick Fury sternly reminded Tony Stark.
"The Destroyer? He will be destroyed by my hands!" Tony Stark was as arrogant as ever.
The two quickly ended their call, and Nick Fury immediately contacted Captain America: "Captain, emergency situation, no time to explain. Are you still at the base? Thor will pick you up!"
Captain America was a man who knew the gravity of a situation. Hearing Nick Fury's words, he knew it must be an extremely urgent matter.
So, without any further ado, he immediately agreed.
"Thor, quick!"
Nick Fury then said to Thor.
Thor immediately spread his Falcon wings and soared into the sky with a whoosh, disappearing in the blink of an eye.
Next, Nick Fury notified Black Widow.
These were all the enhanced individuals he could contact at the moment.
After doing all this, Nick Fury began making one phone call after another.
His main task was to coordinate various departments to complete tasks such as sealing off the scene, evacuating citizens, controlling public opinion, reporting the situation to higher-ups, and so on.
Of course, Nick Fury wasn't idle during this process; he had already called Agent Hill and was heading to the scene of the incident at the first opportunity.
Whoosh!
Soon after the car started, Nick Fury saw a flash of fire flying over the city, which was none other than Iron Man.
Iron Man's speed was incredibly fast; in the blink of an eye, he left Nick Fury's car far behind, performing several impressive aerial maneuvers before arriving at the scene.
From a distance, he saw a majestic robot spewing scorching beams of light at its surroundings.
The scene was a complete mess; aside from Coulson and a few other agents, most people were lying scattered on the ground.
It was truly tragic.
In front of an entity like the Destroyer, ordinary human agents were no different from ants.
"Let me give you a welcome gift!"
After Iron Man appeared, he didn't say a word, directly firing a missile at the Destroyer.
Boom!
A terrifying explosion occurred, with dazzling flames and billowing smoke erupting.
The missile hit the Destroyer directly, exploding on its body.
However, a missile that would normally be enough to blow up several cars only made the Destroyer sway slightly and take a few steps back, nothing more.
Beyond that, it failed to have any further effect on the Destroyer.
"Iron Man! Iron Man is here!"
"It's Iron Man!"
The few remaining agents at the scene, seeing Iron Man appear, looked as if they had seen a savior, their eyes all glowing with excitement.
Clang!
The next moment, Iron Man slammed heavily onto the ground.
"Alright, I'll take it from here. Non-essential personnel, clear out immediately!"
Iron Man said to the surrounding agents while confronting the towering Destroyer.
"Everyone, retreat! Retreat!"
Coulson made a decisive decision, immediately giving the order and leading the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents in an orderly evacuation.
In front of such formidable armor, they, as ordinary people, truly couldn't play much of a role, or rather, their only role would be as cannon fodder.
Hiss!
The Destroyer had stabilized itself by this point and fired another high-heat beam at Iron Man, who nimbly soared into the air with a whoosh.
The Destroyer's beam missed its target.
Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh!
Iron Man then fired three more missiles, blasting the Destroyer back several steps.
Taking advantage of this, Iron Man also extended his hand towards the Destroyer, firing a laser beam at it.
But so far, all his attacks had failed to pose any threat to the Destroyer.
"Great! It seems conventional weapons won't work!" Iron Man immediately made a judgment. "Fortunately, I've completed that move! Jarvis, activate the plasma light sword!"
"Sir, I must remind you, the light sword consumes too much energy. Your current power will only last for three minutes!"
"It's okay, didn't I ask you to prepare a backup suit? Activate it quickly!"
Iron Man said to Jarvis decisively.
Hum!
Next, energy began to gather on Iron Man's right arm, and soon, a purple light sword formed.
Held in Iron Man's hand, it looked incredibly imposing.
Hiss!
The Destroyer fired another high-heat beam at this moment, which Iron Man easily dodged. He moved as agilely as a butterfly, evading the Destroyer's attacks as he closed in.
He finally reached the Destroyer's front.
"Be destroyed! Destroyer!"
Iron Man declared spiritedly, swinging the plasma light sword in his hand and striking the Destroyer's head.
Clang!
A dull metallic impact sound rang out. The Destroyer stumbled from the light sword's blow, and a shallow mark appeared on the originally gleaming metal of its head.
But that was all.
The Destroyer was made of Asgardian Uru metal, and its power source was Odin, meaning it also had divine power imbued within it.
It was created by Odin to prevent future Celestial invasions.
It could be said to be one of the most powerful forces in the universe.
How could it be harmed by a plasma light sword?
"Sir, the light sword also cannot cause effective damage!" Jarvis immediately made a judgment. "This thing is too powerful; Iron Man cannot deal with it! I suggest delaying for time and waiting for support."
Leaving such a shallow mark, what good was that?
However, what Iron Man didn't know was that Loki, who was monitoring everything through the Destroyer in the Golden Palace, couldn't help but show a hint of surprise on his face.
"Midgard actually has someone like this who can block the Destroyer? Interesting." Loki then showed a very interested expression on his face.
He began to continue observing Iron Man through the Destroyer.
He wanted to see how long Iron Man could last.
"Waiting for backup isn't my style. Full power output!" Iron Man ignored Jarvis's suggestion and once again engaged in close combat with the Destroyer using the light sword.
However, it was imaginable that Iron Man was no match for the Destroyer.
Clang!
In the midst of the fierce battle, Iron Man was punched away by the Destroyer, slamming heavily onto the ground and causing a car to slide sideways.
"Sir, energy is at three percent!" Jarvis immediately reminded him.
At this moment, the Destroyer fired another high-heat beam.
Iron Man no longer paid attention to Jarvis's reminder and flew out again, beginning to dodge the Destroyer's shots.
"Sir, energy is at two percent."
"Sir, energy is at one percent."
"Has the backup armor arrived?" Iron Man finally asked.
"It has arrived, sir, ready for immediate deployment." Jarvis replied.
As Jarvis spoke, a drone also adjusted its angle above Iron Man, following him.
On that drone was none other than another Mark 7 armor.
However, the drone did not attack the Destroyer, so the Destroyer did not destroy it.
Immediately after confirming, Iron Man found that the Iron Man suit was severely underpowered, flying crookedly and unsteadily.
Clearly, the energy was about to run out.
Hiss!
At this moment, the Destroyer fired another high-heat beam, and given the current situation, Iron Man would not be able to dodge it no matter what.
